Nice location, delicious breakfasts & Sunday lunch. Catered for gluten and dairy free which very happy about. Thank you. Stayed in largest family room. Facilities good in room, large shower, shampoo & body wash available if needed, soft towels, plenty of choices of tea and coffee and added bonus of fridge with milk and almond milk too. Owner Lucy very welcoming and helpful. Near Pett Level beach where we watched a lovely sunset one evening and enjoyed Bexhill, Hastings and Bodiam Castle nearby.

Minor issues - our daughter found the mattress too soft in the single bed, but that's personal preference. Blackout curtain linings would be a welcome addition and one of the window latch handles was missing so couldn't open in the windy weather- however we notified the owner who was unaware it was missing and was going to look to fix this.

Room was very large. Everything you needed there. Welcomed the fridge with water and milk to make tea in the morning. Evening meal was beautiful (Sea Bass). The staff are absolutely wonderful! Their is plenty of parking, the grounds and gardens are beautifully kept. There was also a boules green, which was lovely seeing the regulars utilising. Pub/room was very quiet once closed. Room was clean.

Stayed in the Elm room. Room is dated but understand it is a 16th Century Inn. Stairwell up to room quite steep and a bit scruffy/smelly, dirty carpet. The finishes/work completed on rooms felt shoddy, electrics and alarms wires wall mounted in trunking, also bathroom upgrade didn't seem complete on the top part. Gaps in the plasterboard etc., Unless it was a work in progress still?? There were lots of spiders in the crevices within bathroom, which freaked me out in the night when they appeared. The bottom part of bathroom was amazing. Needs some new windows. Found bed and pillows uncomfortable. Also curtains let too much light in. I also felt quite vulnerable during the night, not sure if the outer door is locked.

Comfortable bed and spacious room. Nice to have a selection of tea for making tea in our room and some cookies. Staff was friendly and there were different options for breakfast. We had dinner here as well (which was tasty).

The curtains were not blocking the sun/light enough, so the room was quit light. We stayed in June at the two sawyers. In months with shorter days or for people not waking up easily in lighter rooms this is probably fine, but for us it was too light. Unfortunately some people that drove by during the night did not mind the speed limit and being close to the street, you do here does cars.

Super friendly efficient staff, all very pleasant especially Lauren our waitress and Lucy the owner . The food was absolutely top notch , imaginative menu ,amazing quality , generous portions , presented beautifully and piping hot.

Nothing really - all excellent .Breakfast was fab, hubby loved his full English , but It would have been nice to have one other hot option -or perhaps smoked salmon or avocado on toast for those of us who aren’t fans of the full English . However, the breakfast was quality produce and very tasty .

Excellent location. The 1066 Hastings walk is accessible. Good walking in the woods generally. Fairlight and Guestling woods . Hastings and Rye very easily accessible by car, Bexhill a short distance . Great garden and bars. Restaurant is superb - lovely food beautifully presented and delicious. Great selection of Real Ale. Good wine list. Comfortable , well appointed room - fridge a lovely touch . Superb breakfast. All staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly .

Nothing. Be mindful this is a pub /restaurant- so expect some noise until closing time .

The room was comfortable and well presented, and we slept well on the bed. We were made welcome when we arrived. Breakfast was well cooked and on time. The village pub is in a quiet road and easy to find, with lots of parking. We enjoyed a walk through the village.

The radiator in our bathroom was not working. This in it's self wasn't a problem, but we did explain to one member of staff on the first morning that our towels were not getting dry as a result. Nothing was done about this for the 4 nights of our stay. We also felt that the breakfast offering was a bit limited - although we appreciate we were the only guests. There could have been yogurts and fruit to go with the cereal? We were warned that there was a Halloween disco/party on one night of our stay. It was fine with us but went on loudly until past 11:30 - just a head's up for others!

The room was very spacious, clean, had great views and the coffee/tea facilities were excellent. the added bonus which is unusual in most pub/inn accommodations we have stayed in is the addition of a mini fridge. this is perfect if staying for more than one night and allows storage of drinks or sandwiches to keep fresh especially as the area is renowned for its great walks. the staff were all excellent, the locals we saw there were very pleasant and happy to chat, with the log fire going and reasonably priced drinks to hand we were made to feel most welcome and we were very relaxed in the atmosphere which was just as we had hoped. the evening meal was great and very tasty. portion sizes were very good and with a starter each before the main of locally sourced fish and chips it was a struggle to completely finish the meal. the bottle of wine we had was very nice and the price was very reasonable. the staff were all very knowledgeable, attentive and polite and we really cant wait to stay here again very soon.

there literally wasn't anything to dislike except the weather which i wont hold against them. :-) in fact the weather made us stay in the bar longer than we otherwise would have which turned out to be a blessing as it made for a proper chilled out afternoon before getting ready for the fabulous evening meal.

The room was lovely. The staff were all lovely and Lucy the landlady was great. Any requests were promptly dealt with and nothing was too much trouble. Nice breakfasts each morning.

Food on the first night was disappointing. The beef brisket was unavailable and the cheese souffle wasn't very cheesy and my burger was swimming in the salad dressing. The duck on the asian salad was overcooked. Breakfast each morning was delicious however.

The staff were welcoming and personable. We were shown to our room promptly and everything was explained clearly and concisely by Beckie. The room was spacious and although very warm, a big fan had been put in our room. We dined in the restaurant and the food was well closed and delicious. At breakfast we were served by Sharon who was lovely and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

The tele remote didn’t work well. On the final morning of our stay the chef was off sick so his job was covered by staff. Therefore the breakfast choice was limited. I ordered scrambled eggs which were so overcooked they looked chargrilled and my partner asked for soft poached eggs which came out like two bullets.

We absolutely love everything about the Two Sawyers, Lucy and her staff were all so friendly & welcoming, & with a Home from Home atmosphere. The breakfasts and the meals were all excellent. Our room had everything we needed and we slept well in a very comfortable bed. This is our second stay here and we will be coming again. I highly recommend this wonderful pub in its beautiful settings.
