Great location, overlooking the sea, seats outside well visited. Bed lovely, large and comfy. Room comfortable. We had a view which was pretty despite the weather. Food was very nice. Lots of locals seem to visit the pub and restaurant. I really enjoyed staying here, had a good atmosphere.

Not much, was all good. The shower didn't work very well, looked a super duper power shower but only a trickle came out. if we were staying longer I would have mentioned, I am sure they would have sorted, but were only there one night and only discovered in the morning before we left. Wouldn't stop me staying again.

This was an excellent place to stay. Very friendly staff, lovely attic bedroom overlooking the harbour and very good food. The bar was always a friendly hub for food and drink. We ate every night in the dining room as the food and portions were excellent.

There was nothing we didn't like. The A La Carte menu was very good but as we stayed for 5 nights it would be nice to see part of the 'Specials Menu' change daily

The staff. Every member of staff we met were helpful, friendly and nice. i would stay there again in the strength of the staff alone. Hotel staff can make or break a holiday. The Crown staff made it.

Little things, easily fixable. Toilet door lock not working. No fridge in the room. The restaurant food could have been better. Breakfast was excellent but the main dinner was pretty mediocre. The music from the evening entertainment (Sat & Sun) was quite loud in the rooms.

First visit to Portpatrick, picturesque location. Hotel check in done online & so easy. Room small but has all you need, beds comfy. Was very warm the first night, turned radiator thermostat down & perfect after. Friendly team that run it, nothing too much bother. Superb breakfast & plentiful with good choices. Ate there twice over the few days. Will definitely return, thanks 👍

Always a warm welcome and as they were having some work done we received a call to say there were builders in and out and hoped it wouldn't put us off, of course it didn't, the crown is our go to chill out place the staff are lovely the food is excellent we were in room 12 a lovely big room with great views the only complaint would be it got quite cold by late afternoon the radiator was really warm but it's stuck behind a big TV unit and stopped it heating up the room this room needs to be reconfigurated won't stop us going back though

The decked area at the back was lovely and quiet as the front area often was busy. Every one of the staff was so pleasant and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was very good.as were evening meals

Due to the nature of the hotel, there was no comfie lounge area to sit in on a rainy afternoon. The room and bathroom were quite dark as we were at the back

All food; breakfast and evening meals were very good. All staff - front of house and housekeeping, were very accommodating - nothing was too much trouble. The view of the harbour from our loft room (room 7) was spectacular and the shower was fierce!

If you are above average size, room 7 with it's sloped ceiling, is a bit restrictive when moving about; however the view more than makes up for it!

Rooms were nice and clean. Big bathroom. Big bed and very comfortable. Kettle provided with tea, coffee, biscuits. Toiletries provided. Hairdryer and iron & ironing board also provided.. We didn't require our room to be cleaned but the cleaner made sure we had everything we needed. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent. Great service at meals and breakfast. Always busy for food so recommend booking. Ideal location in the centre of Portpatrick.

We have been to Portpatrick many times and stayed at the Crown at least 3 times. It has been lovely and even the weather was kind. We walked the coastal paths in both directions and visited the splendid Logan Botanical Gardens. We also visited Port Logan, Drummore and Stranraer.

The room was very small, although the view was fabulous.

Clean, comfortable room with nice big shower and complimentary toiletries . Plenty of tea , coffee, milk , sugars etc Iron and iron board in room and fairy good hairdryer Breakfast was excellent , freshly cooked and served with a smile and some chat . Great location and parking nearby . Outside area was good and the bar is dog friendly .
