Sue was awesome! Breakfast was very good. She had us set up with meats and cheeses, fruit, fresh bread, and croissants from the bakery, yogurt, cereal, coffee, and tea. She also left us a couple of pieces of delicious cake. Sue gave us an excellent dinner recommendation, the Stables. One of the best meals we have had in Ireland. It was an absolute pleasure meeting Sue. She is so sweet! I forgot my raincoat in the room and she called me as soon as she found it and offered to drive into Belfast to give it to me. She was a joy to talk to.

Lovely chatty host who showed us how everything worked. A LOT of food given for breakfast (you prepare it yourself), little kitchen (no cooker but microwave). Comfortable bed, quiet area, enough room to park car in the driveway. Reluctant to recommend it as it might be booked next time we want to go!!

Overhead shower - Would prefer to have a handheld shower but that is my preference. The shower worked fine and a shower cap was provided. Other than that, nothing bad to report.

Sue was really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the locality. The Lantern was superbly located within a 10 minute walk to the sea front and good public transport connections. The accommodation is in a small annexe next to Sue's property, which is a bedroom,bathroom and kitchen. Sue supplied all the continental breakfast that you need and you help yourself to it in your kitchen. Donaghadee is a beautiful little seaside town with some cracking pubs and places to eat.

Outstanding !!! Location was perfect for visiting family. Parking outside property was a bonus. The breakfast was phenomenal. Really. There was so much choice. Didn't have to buy anything extra. There was enough goodies to use for a picnic with our granddaughter. The private annexes was excellent in every way. Bed was comfy, bathroom was very clean and the shower was great. The little kitchenette had everything we needed and more. A tv in the bedroom and free WiFi. Sue is a great lady. A perfect host. She made us very welcome and was always available if required.

Nothing could have improved our stay. Except maybe, staying longer at Sue's😃

Sue was an excellent host,friendly and helpful . Property very clean and well stocked with breakfast food, tea/coffee, juice etc. Bed was very comfortable. Room cosy and warm. Ensuite was well stocked with towels. I highly recommend this B and B . Donaghadee Harbour and Bangor Harbour Close by. Belfast is only a few miles away if you want citylife or shopping. At Pier 36 restaurant the food and atmosphere was fantastic. I will definitely be booking The lantern again .

Sue always leaves plenty of provisions for breakfast. The food is always fresh and delicious. There is something for everyone. The breakfast table is laid out beautifully and you have everything you need to start the day. The room was spotless as always. With a comfy bed, and great shower in the immaculate bathroom.

There was nothing we disliked at The Lantern.

A beautiful room, with its own en-suite and kitchen. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were made very welcome by the host, Sue, from the moment we arrived. There was a lovely selection of food left for breakfast. The room is nicely decorated, and the bed was so comfortable with ample pillows. The location is within walking distance to the town and local cafes and restaurants.

Breakfast was a delightful plate of cheese and fruit, plus croissants and bread. There was no hot breakfast, but the apartment was an entirely separate space, so this wasn’t unexpected. We were there two nights and things were refreshed before the second morning.

The artificial turf was a bit of a surprise.

Sue was a really nice host. The accommodation was lovely and suited us as was very close to venue we were attending the next day. Sue takes pride in her place and it shows based on how she has the place prepared for guests, from the cleanliness to the food and snacks left for us. Will be staying again no problem

Susan is a very welcoming, humorous and helpful host - nothing too much trouble. Excellent facilities for a provided DIY continental style breakfast.

Although the accommodation is very well appointed, it was just a little cramped for space reducing the comfort level slightly. Not a great distraction.
