Only 10 minutes from George Best airport, very easy to find. Quick check-in. I had booked an estate room and was happily upgraded to the Bishop Suite. It had been a long day and as I walked through the door and looked out the windows, my heart soared! Beautiful view, beautiful suite. I usually avoid suites because as a solo traveller I feel like there is too much space for me, but this was perfect! Comfortable bed, comfy sofa. Had breakfast once, seated quickly and food lovely and plentiful. Bar service good, and there was usually some live piano music, and once even a singer. Easy to walk down the hill to the coastal path and get some of the sea air. Even on the day it was tipping down with rain, the room was lovely to be in.

Impossible to work at the desk, any desk, as too high for the chairs. It would be better if there was at least one desk/chair combo that was correct for working on a laptop. The TV in the living room area seemed to have fewer channels than in the bedroom.

Location excellent for Belfast and the country side walks. Our room and views were lovely. Loved the art in the garden and the relaxed atmosphere.

When checking in the receptionist had an issue not being able to use my Revolut card from my phone ( tap) , she then told me I had to use a physical card - this I know not to be the case! After several minutes frustrating minutes she eventually was able to use my Revolut on my phone. Again on checkout the same lady, I paid any outstanding balance and left the hotel. I got a call 3 hours later from the hotel telling me they forgot to charge me for something on checkout. Very annoying and not the experience I’d expect from a 5 star hotel. Unfortunately we were unable to sample the high end dinning as the restaurant was closed on bank holiday Monday, I’ve would have liked to sample the tasting menu.

Amazing grounds and decor, especially in lounges, bar and dining room. Main courses at Cultra Inn were delicious. Bedroom was peaceful and very comfortable. Air con worked well.

Several quibbles which were disappointing, given the star rating of the hotel: variety of fresh fruit and pastries at breakfast, and service was rather erratic; room had no coffee machine or tissues (have regularly found these in 4* hotels); lack of attention to detail in cleaning of bathroom; view from (our deluxe) room was an adjoining roof; dessert at Cultra Inn was disappointing- £8 for a small square of ice cream with a cheap cone stuck upside down in it. Slow check in.

Since our last stay the hotel has been refreshed , lovely comfortable chairs in the general area and redecoration. The policy of removing the small bottles of bathroom products for more sustainable large refillable bottles is a good indicator to trying to be more environmentally conscious. The gardens look amazing and interesting art work to walk around . The location is great with easy access into the city either via trains , as the station is a three minute walk away , or a 15 minute taxi ride

The room servicing was a bit random , things left undone, like the floor not being vacuumed and the glasses /cups unwashed , we had to ask to water and coffee pods as these weren’t replace but generally the standard of cleaning was high so we assumed the attendant had been called away and forgotten to finish.

Location was excellent for walking along the sea front and visiting the museums next door. Food at breakfast gave plenty of choice and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. There was a lovely ambiance throughout the hotel.

Afternoon tea should have been served with a savoury pork and Stilton sausage roll and we were given a cup of soup I questioned this and the waitress had been told to say the chef had done this today instead of of the roll. Not sure what was happening but the sausage roll eventually arrived courtesy of the manager and explanation it was a confusion. Otherwise it was a lovely afternoon tea and the waitress was so very helpful.

Location was perfect so easy to access and absolutely stunning well maintained grounds and spectacular views over the lough. The meal and service for the RCN event I attended was excellent the staff were first class. The room was beautiful and bed and pillows were perfect and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was fabulous, everything you could possible want and more. Had the made to order pancakes which were first class. Reception staff very polite and friendly. Overall a really great experience and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I would have really liked a small fridge in the room but that is only a very minor detail everything else was superb

Loved the location absolutely beautiful. Very grand decor stunning.

When checking in reception asked what the occasion was and we said for 2 x 60th birthdays and a 40th birthday they said they would let the restaurant know (The Cultra Inn) which we thought was lovely. However dinner was a slight let down. They mentioned the birthdays when we arrived for dinner but that was it nothing more so didn’t see the point of the restaurant being told. We waited over an hour for our food, ordered drinks a couple of times but never received them. After we ate our main meal which was beautiful no one came back to lift our plates or ask if we wanted dessert. However breakfast in Vespers was first class. But overall we loved our stay and would definitely come back.

Its proximity to Belfast City Airport. It’s beautiful grounds. Very friendly efficient staff Very comfortable bedroom The history behind the building itself All the different spaces to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

Only one small thing annoyed me. We were in a lovely room called Ennis and in the bathroom there is an illuminated magnifying mirror on the wall which is always a great thing in my books for either makeup or contact lenses. However this one is so high up the wall neither of us could use it! It needs to be at a height it can actually be used!

The grounds of the hotel was absolutely stunning! My husband and I enjoyed walking round and seeing all the art in the garden! When we arrived the lady at reception was lovely and very welcoming. We liked the fact that they have someone who meets you outside and brings in your bag and offers to take it to your room. The room was just absolutely stunning, so clean and bed was unbelievabe! The bathroom was massive with a great deep bath which we enjoyed. The spa was beautiful and so relaxing! The food a little pricey but you dont mind paying when you get the quality that we received! The waitress was lovely and welcoming.

Absolutely nothing! Just kicking ourselves that we only booked for the 1 night! Definitely will be staying the two nights next time!
