We loved the young lady who checked us in; she was super helpful and so friendly. The room was a great size and the shower was fantastic! The hotel was also very easy to navigate. Also loved the small touches included in the room, such as the complementary water and crisps.

We do understand it is a very lively hotel, but my colleague/friend was in Belfast for the specific reason of doing a course for her job, she barely got any sleep as there was very little soundproofing from the very loud music that went on past 1:30am, and once the music finished she was also kept awake due to a lot of talking and noise out in the hallway. I understand there isn't a massive pile that can be done about this, but I did feel it needed to be brought up regardless as the staff member who we spoke to when checking out seemed very unbothered by our issue and didn't even pretend to be sorry for all the noise.

Staff at reception and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a very convenient location for the city centre (well connected via public transport) and for the ferry port. The room was spacious and clean. Food in the restaurant was very good.

The room was extremely hot and there was no A/C. The open window did little to cool the room down. There is no kettle/tea/coffee provided in the room. Complimentary tea and coffee can be ordered through reception, but as I checked out at 5AM there was only a night porter and no means of getting a cup of coffee before hitting the road.

We've stayed at the Lansdown before. Love the on site parking - for free! The location - nice and central and in easy reach of central Belfast by car, taxi or public transport. Staff are always super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Rooms are of a good size and I especially love the fact that they have USB sockets (lots of them) as well as plug sockets. Beds are comfy. Breakfast wasn't included in the booking, but available on the day - it's good value and from an a la carte menu meaning that if you're a toast and coffee person you don't feel ripped off by having to pay (a usually expensive) fixed price on breakfast.

My father felt the noise from the main road was a bit distracting trying to get off to sleep - I didn't really feel that way. The bathroom doors swing closed after opening - I found this a bit annoying - and noisy, each time, but not so that it detracted from a positive experience.

My memories of the Lansdowne were from nights out when I was still at school (many years ago!), so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and helpful, my room was comfortable and the location was convenient - a short bus ride from Belfast. I only had breakfast one morning, but there was ample choice and it was cooked to order. If I'm back visiting family in NI, I'd definitely choose the Lansdowne over (more expensive, inferior quality) hotels in the city centre.

If I had to pick a fault, I'd say my room was slightly noisy at night because it was over the bar - the downside of booking at the last minute. However, it didn't prevent me from sleeping.

The staff were very friendly and have a 'can do' attitude which shone through when we had one or two glitches on arrival. I'd say they go above and beyond to give their guests and positive experience.

I would have like to have been informed before our arrival that a wedding reception was taking place downstairs on the night of our visit. While the noise wasn't terrible, it WAS very audible (live music resonating through a building is inevitable unless it is build from the ground up to isolate the live area). Luckily I personally carry some industrial earplugs with me at all times and these were indispensable. Other more sensitive sleepers may have a different experience. Additionally, the bedside lighting was no dimmer than the main lighting in the room and I feel that some soft lighting would add to the comfort/experience ;-)

We had a lovely overnight trip in August here. The room was comfortable, clean and ready on time. The staff were friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar that evening. The food was excellent and the service was prompt. We slept soundly. We didn't opt for breakfast the next morning but it was explained to us when and where it was and how much it cost. Hopefully we'll stay here again.

Nothing amiss at all, enjoyed our short stay thoroughly.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Hotel itself was lovely. The restaurant was really good. Room was as expected. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was nice and especially liked the toiletries. The complimentary crisps and water were a nice touch. We had no problem finding a parking onsite. The bus going into Belfast city centre is just a short walk away from the hotel.

Like in most hotels, you can hear noises from the passage. If you are a very light sleeper you may want to bring ear plugs. The decor in the room we stayed in did seem like it was a bit tired and maybe ready for a refresh.

Staff were very helpful. I was late arriving but they went out of their way to assist me to get food even on a very busy evening. Reception staff and bar/restaurant managers were very professional, friendly and helpful. The snacks and water in the room was a real treat and very welcomed.

My room was on road side of the hotel so it was a little loud with traffic but that's not surprising and wouldn't put me off staying again.

The bar and staff were excellent, as was the food. They had a solo singer on the evening I stayed and he was very good.

The room was a little dark and perhaps in my opinion a little dated in comparison to the opulent refit of the bar/restaurant . I also struggle with the fact there are no tea/coffee facilities in the room, but the helpful night porter made me a cup of tea before I checked out

Great hotel, well done everyone. Lovely clean room, really nice to have some snacks in room! Food in restaurant was outstanding, steak frites... Wow. Also it's a really nice part of Belfast, near the castle, pleasant streets to walk around, plenty of shops within 15 or 20 minutes stroll.

Bathroom fan was a bit noisy in the middle of the night, not much you can do about that.
