The new manager, Andy,is extraordinary in providing a heartfelt welcome. He quickly checks you in and carries your luggage while showing you to your room. My room included breakfast with a cappuchino and offers no host snacks and meals throughout the day with a full bar. The beds were comfortable, and the location was fabulous. We came as a family this summer, like we have for the past three years. Each past year, there was a different manager and owner. This years experience was the best! Thank you, Andy, for all your assistance!
The hotel began in 1690 and has been refurbished in the 70s and 2023. Rooms are dated, but we didn't mind. It was good value for the location.

Harbor Views, Booze, and a Beach What More Could You Want? This place is an absolute gem! Smack bang on the harbor in Ramsgate, you’re basically next door to everything, restaurants, pubs, clubs, and yes, even a Wetherspoon that’s about 30 seconds away (dangerously close, some might say). Oh, and there’s a gorgeous sandy beach right there too, just in case you fancy pretending you're in the Med. The location is unbeatable it’s like someone designed it for maximum convenience and minimum walking. Whether you're out for a pint, a pizza, or a paddle in the sea, you’re sorted. Word of warning for the light sleepers: the sea-view rooms come with a bit of bonus nightlife noise. It’s all part of the charm, but if your idea of a lullaby isn’t distant club beats and seagulls arguing, either ask for a room on the quieter side or bring your trusty earplugs. We’re already planning our next trip back. Highly recommend if you like your seaside stays with a side of action!

Surprisingly clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. Walking distance to all that matters: beach and good food. Stayed on a Wednesday night and it was very quiet, given it's summer. So really, I had no trouble sleeping, heard no noises from room next-door, or from people partying on the streets. Bed was comfortable enough sheets were immaculate. Shower worked just fine, no issues in the bathroom whatsoever. I was pleasantly surprised actually. Room was aired and the curtains kept the light out in the morning. I haven't tested the heating and I suspect there is no air conditioning, but I love sleeping with an open window so I really didn't mind. The labyrinthian layout.. the old school (very clean though) carpets reminded me of the Overlook Hotel from the shinning for some reason.. I loved every single bit of my stay. Definitely recommend, if you're not a fuss pot and just need somewhere clean, friendly, helpful, well located to crash, then look no further.
Ladies... make sure you pack your own shampoo and conditioner. I didn't try the blow dryer but it was available in the room.. I tried the amenities provided and omg my hair is in no speaking terms with me.. it's alright of you're a guy with short hair though. You might get away with it.

The hotel had had some refurbishments since we last stayed a few years back. Both rooms were clean and well presented. I booked two room, A family room and a double and the beds were all comfortable. We were well looked after by the manager and his staff. The manager went out of his way to help make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend if you intend to stay in Ramsgate. Great value for money. Oh, and breakfast was excellent, even the mushroom had flavour.

Great location. Nice little room. Yes, it is small but has everything you’d need. Even separate wardrobe space with plenty of hangers. Bed was super comfortable, almost felt like it was a water mattress? Don’t think it was, but was comfy. Fan in the room!!! Super thankful for it, was very much needed. Very good size bathroom, plenty of towels and toiletries. Also , a tea/coffee tray with biscuits. Didn’t get the young man’s name who checked us in on the 3rd!! But what a lovely, friendly guy! So full of energy, and very efficient.
Can’t say it necessarily bothered me, but a suggestion to maybe change curtains to something a bit more “muted” maybe dark blue/dark green? I think sometimes floral pattern can be a bit busy and almost make the room feel smaller. This is just a suggestion, nitpicking! It didn’t affect our stay, of course. Good at blocking the light though!

Stephano, the owner, helped us get a much better room on the first floor since the original room was on upper floors. I can't go up steep stairs without huffing puffing due to heart condition and asthma. He let us check in early at 1pm, as well. The new owner redecorated the rooms and the king bed was amazingly comfortable. We had a sea marina view from our room. The shower was great ,too.
The only thing we noticed that needed improvement was the bathroom's fan didn't turn off right away. It made a loud noise for a bit after you turned it off. I'm sure it can be fixed.

Our stay was just perfect, booked the day before for a spontaneous night away, arrived to be greeted by really friendly staff who made us feel welcome and informed us of local places to go, room was lovely and a great bonus to have a large sea view room looking out over the sunny harbour. Nice Powerful Hot shower, had a hairdryer and towels in the room. comfortable bed. Hotel is Right on the beach front with a great selection of places to eat and drink. Huge weatherspoons across the road overlooking the sea. Must go to mariners bar 2 mins down the road for the live bands was a great atmosphere! There was a bit of noise at night from the bars next door but we had read the reviews so was prepared and didn’t really bother us to be honest still managed to sleep well. Was a little tricky for parking on a sunny Saturday morning but a couple of car parks within walking distance and around £20 for 24 hours. Will definitely come back soon!
Nothing to not like really, it was perfect for what we wanted. Maybe just the noise would bother some people but it was not a problem for us.

The location was ideal for what we needed . There are great places nearby to eat and drink . You are 2mins walk to the beach
I was a bit disappointed at the front desk staff . He accommodated fir our arrival which was great . However I reported the toilet seat was broken the next morning. When we went back to the room , nothing was fixed . I appreciate they may not of had a spare 1 but surely on a Saturday morning there must be somewhere to buy 1 from . It didn't effect our stay . We was very careful when seated

Amazing location right on the harbour. The hotel is quite dated but that really isn’t a problem as it also represents good value. Very nice staff on the front desk.
The nightclub bar next door plays very loud dance music into the early hours to the extent we could just hear it but feel the vibrations also. If you think this will bother you, ask for a quiet room at the other side of the hotel.

Loved the water pressure, best shower I’ve ever had. The air conditioning was very appreciative too as my partner suffers in the heat however it was a bit loud but that’s absolutely to be expected. The bed was super comfy and the staff were so kind. Matthew really made us feel welcome. Location is incredible we made full use of the beach! Wetherspoons basically next door for breakfast on a roof overlooking the beach.
The walls are a bit thin. We could hear full conversations from our neighbours, heard him go to the toilet, flush, shower, his child crying. Everything. However we didn’t care all that much as we primarily booked this hotel for the location anyway and our neighbours only made noise in the mornings not of a nighttime.
