Everything. The De Luxe room with sea views had just been refurbished and was beautiful and very comfortable. The views, day and night were simply lovely The staff, especially reception was extremely helpful and kind Breakfast staff were similarly attentive and there was a very good choice available We think everyone in Broadstairs are polite and kind- on the Sunday morning, we saw a road sweeper cross the road to greet a canine walker, and offered him a doggy treat Thank you for a lovely stay

It is only a small point. Entirely due to my getting the booking wrong initially, we had to move rooms for the second night. It was a street facing view; still a lovely room, but obviously busier early in the morning. We are still grateful that the booking staff were able to accommodate my mistake, so we had the extra time to be with family Also, to anyone staying on a Sunday evening, bear in mind many of the restaurants close on a Sunday evening so check out the hotel's excellent menu and save your legs!

Location is fabulous. Prime spot in broadstairs. The bed was super comfortable.

The hotel is looking somewhat tired. Could do with a bit of a facelift. Hallways are worn and paintwork shabby in places.

Location is perfect. Staff were friendly and the bed was huge, comfy with good quality bedding. Plenty of products in bathroom and coffee selection was amazing. I'm a decaff drinker so was so grateful for the selection I could have. Breakfast was great and the waiter at breakfast was really lovely! He really perked me up in the morning with his enthusiasm and kindness.

The bathroom was quite dirty, and the bedroom window, despite paying extra for a sea view, was so dirty I could barely see the view which was a real shame. The hallway leading up to the rooms requires decorating as someone has tried to patch up the walls by painting patches but it looks very bad. The cleaners had used really strong (not very pleasant to my taste at leaste) air freshener so when I arrived the smell was overpowering. Not being able to open the window meant I couldn't get rid of the smell sadly.

Amazing property. Clean and some fresh milk and drinking water for the tea making facilities. Staff are amazing. Natalia is friendly and efficient, George is a very reassuring presence and Hermes at breakfast very warm and efficient. A lot of the younger staff are fab too... Didn't speak to all of them. I remember Finn though who was great with my daughter

The restaurant didn't have one of the kids menu items any day of our stay which was disappointing. We finally didn't eat there the last night bevause of that. Other than that, it's a nice restaurant

The hotel was lovely. The room large, very clean & comfortable. The bathroom was very good. Large , clean with complementary toiletries. The shower was amazing! Food in the restaurant was excellent. There was entertainment the night we were there which was an added bonus. The beach front location is Ideal.

Unfortunately the night we were there it was extremely noisy from people enjoying themselves in the town until 2.30 a.m. This definitely spoilt our experience.

Our room (number 28) had a most beautiful view over the sea and harbour. The staff were all polite and helpful. The room facilities were great, especially the bathroom and the coffee machine. We were given fresh milk in a flask which we liked. The breakfast was really good - lots of variety with hot dishes cooked to order.

The windows are extremely dirty which is such a shame. Some breakfast buffet items ran out later on during breakfast service. Free parking is available a little distance from the hotel but there is nowhere immediately outside the hotel for drop off.

Room was spacious Plugs either side of bed Long mirror ( perfect when dressing up to see what full outfit is like) in room as well as a dressing table Bath was huge and lots of free toiletries (luxury) Had lots of towels/ spares Bed was very comfy

Had to ask for milk at reception for tea or coffee instead of being in room, each time I went out I had forgotten to ask for them so I didn’t use much of the beverages supplied as much as i would of liked And wifi often wasn’t connecting I had had to ask a few times for it to be checked And wasn’t a smart tv So wasn’t able to put a movie on

Excellent location to the town and seafront (via private access). The luxury double rooms are really comfortable and boutique feeling.

Poor air circulation- needs air conditioning. The restaurant windows weren’t opened by the staff to let the breeze through and it felt like an oven during breakfast service. The breakfast selection is really good, but let down by watery eggs and the omelette was served as odd looking scrambled eggs. Too much cheese. We had lunch on the first day which was ok, but again the sea add sauce was claggy.

The Royal Albion is a quaint old hotel. One would not be suprised to find Miss Marple knitting away in the lounge while trying to work out who did in Mrs McGillycuddy on the 4.50 from Paddington! Its also VERY dog friendly The single room was ideal for my purposes and very well appointed. There is a delightful breakfast room overlooking the sea and a good solid breakfast with lots of extras to set you up for the day. The pub food was very generously portioned. And they serve Kent made wine in the bar - result! English white wine is very complex and flavourful, not like the industrial stuff one necks. It has to be drunk slowly and enjoyed. If Broadstairs is about one thing - it is the Beach at Viking Bay. This hotel overlooks it and there is a staircase leading down to it right outside the hotel's back door.

It was all fine and dandy. But at some point, the hotel is going to need a serious upgrade. I appreciate that it is very likely a listed building, but it is going to need a lift and access facilities for those with mobility issues. I would love to bring my sister here, but she has mobility issues which would make it impossible.
