This hotel was a last minute life saver due to having to leave another place on Booking.com that turned out to be an absolute disaster (see review for Beach Next Door Flat). On arrival the hotel looked nice and there was a lively, but friendly, atmosphere in the brasserie downstairs. We were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist who took the time to show us to the room and explain the heating and other amenities. The bathroom was lovely and clean with a decent shower. Our room 306 was slightly larger (judging by the floor plan) than others on the same floor and separated by stair wells so there was no problem with sound from neighbours. The kettle and table was well positioned/designed with plenty of tea, coffee and sugar and the furniture provided all the storage and comfort required. I phoned reception to make sure of check out time and it was answered efficiently. This hotel had a nice vibe and is directly on the sea front. As we left in the morning we saw a few of the 'special' rooms being cleaned and they had really nice balcony views by the look of it. Didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on that. From what we saw we can highly recommend this hotel.

The only downside of our room was that you didn't have the sea view and instead there were very noisy air conditioning units directly below the window. Even though we were on the 3rd floor (so further away from them) it was still a constant loud hum. However, with the window closed it was OK and this is the only gripe we could find with the accommodation. Just walk out the front if you want to the see the sea 😁

Friendly staff, good location, comfortable room.

I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast. At similarly priced hotels I have stayed in there is usually a choice of at least fruit and yoghurts as well as cereals. There were just small boxes of cereals. I was also surprised to see tinned tomatoes on offer rather than fresh. This is probably a bit pedantic but I had to ask for the HP sauce and the member of staff had to go into the kitchen to find some and put into a dish for me. Maybe they wanted to cut down on using sachets but maybe having bottles around for self service would have been better.

Excellent staff friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast and a nice bar lounge area. You had to book a time for breakfast with the receptionist to make it easier for all so that everyone doesn't turn up at same time Brilliant views looking towards the sea. The room was clean and well stocked with coffee tea etc. Very comfortable bed. There was a car park for about 10 cars but lots of street parking available around the hotel. The location was about 15 mins walk away from the main area of interest but it was uphill to get back. Not a problem for us but good to know if you can't do an uphill walk. There were buses running up and down opposite the hotel.

Clean and well decorated place - an older building but fully renovated about two years ago. Decent room on the third floor with well appointed bathroom and shower. Comfortable bed. Staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is well situated on the front and it is a short walk to the harbour area for a variety of restaurants.

The breakfast arrangements are strange - you may order from one only of two lists - continental or cooked. If you would like a cereal followed by, say, a fried egg, that is not possible because they are from two different lists. You are asked to book a time for your breakfast the day before, so just turning up at any time is discouraged. The impression is that it is all being rather tightly controlled.

I had a single room. Singles are often poky, but mine was beautiful and spacious. Bathroom was immaculate. We had booked dinner, which was excellent. I don't know how they produce such superb meals for such a realistic price. Hotel in lovely setting overlooking the sea, in a quiet area of town. Very handy for the Granville Theatre. Would happily stay here again.

After the superb dinner, breakfast was disappointing. For £12.95 I would have expected yoghurt and more fruit than just apples and oranges, a larger range of cereals, also some pastries would have been nice.

The location is convenient if you are looking to go into Ramsgate centre. We came here to go into Margate and it was convenient enough by public transport. The room we had was a suite and it was huge! The Seaview was also very beautiful. Water and coffees in room was a great add on. Staff were friendly.

We did think that an open balcony would have been nicer (it was all closed off with window panels, some you could open). Breakfast was good but could have had more variety that we are use to. We had to be careful with the shower as the water drain was slow.

Small family run hotel Friendly & professional staff It’s been renovated in the last couple of years , Tribute Night was Fantastic with a Michael Buble artist It has sea views from the Bar & the Front Bedrooms have sea views & a balcony Open top bus runs by the hotel in the Summer & the Ramsgate Tunnels are below in the Harbour.

Shame they didn’t put walk in showers in the en-suites , when they renovated them , although my husband did manage to get in the bath to shower as there is a hand rail , As there is only one on the ground floor Suitable for a disabled person l believe

Check in was painless, and we paid for the stay on arrival which I prefer. The room was on the top floor, and there is a lift. Our twin room was a modest size but had everything needed for 2 people. Beds very comfortable and pillows were nice and firm so a good night's sleep was had! Bathroom spotless and everything worked. Even had air conditioning, which we needed as it was quite warm in the room. We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on dinner, although breakfast was very good.

Struggling to find any negatives for this place, certainly for the price. Car park quite small, although there is plenty of free parking on the road outside.

This is a really great hotel. From the check in, where the girl was so friendly and informative, it was a really good experience. I was in a single room - simple, clean with a really great bathroom and super shower. The breakfast was good and set me up for the day. I arrived in a heatwave, and the very functioning air-conditioning was very welcome. The hotel bar is really nice, especially in this weather sitting outside on the terrace with a drink in the evening overlooking the English Channel.

Everything, for me, was good.

Unfortunately the first room we were put in had a strange noise from the air conditioning unit. They moved us to what was supposed to be a quiet room which was next to the some generators or fans which were even noisier. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows felt quite cheap. I could feel the bits of foam inside them and didn’t sleep at all well. We were told breakfast was included but on the website it said it only included a continental breakfast so we organised to meet friends at the Wetherspoons instead only to find out too late that the breakfast included did include a cooked breakfast. They have a lot of functions which mean although we were told there was free parking at the hotel it was too busy and we had to park several streets away.
