We had an absolutely amazing stay! I planned this trip as a surprise for my partner as I was proposing to them - the staff were incredible at making this the most perfect trip ever. We felt so welcomed and cared for and even got our desserts on the house as the staff knew we had just got engaged. Extra thanks to Ben at the front desk who was just wonderful and the bartender from Woolwich who I spoke to about Brockley Market (I didn't catch his name) - I especially appreciated the fact that even after we had finished our stay and were leaving the pub after some drinks, my sister fell on the pavement across the road and he came out to check she was okay. We are so grateful that we chose the George and Heart to have our special weekend with, it will be something we remember for a long long time.
The only thing was the room was quite warm but we were given a nice fan for the room.

The rooms were very cosy and well equipped for the guest as a nice tote bag, robe and ear plugs were provided making our experience even more relaxing for any incident, Reggie's bar has a nice touch to the guest making it feel more of a exclusive stay at the hotel. Most of all the staff were exceptionally friendly and great, helping us discover the town to the fullest !!!
the toilets aren't in the rooms but next to the Reggie's bar, they're divided to every individual room which makes it more comforting and relaxing, it's just a minor thing, doesn't effect our experience of the stay :)

Came here for my partner's birthday and I was blown away. The staff and service is the best I have ever experienced - and I work in luxury/high end client service. Nothing was too much and everything thought of on our behalf. Handwritten note for my partner's birthday on the bed, free prosecco in our room, free DELICIOUS continental breakfast (fresh cured meats - not the usual dry cereal situation), and a beautiful room. We stayed in the hideaway room with the bath and it was wonderfully set up. Thank you so so so much to Aaron for going above and beyond. I rang him on four separate occasions in the run up to the stay as I had several questions, and was concerned we would arrive so late that the kitchen would be closed. He kept the kitchen open late for us, and ensured we were well fed and looked after. Even small details like letting us know when his shift finished and who would look after us next. The craziest part of all is that we were so impressed that we tried to tip Aaron and he refused. He said he was just doing his job. I mean - COME ON!!!
Nothing. It was the most perfect birthday.

Charming, quirky place with lots of character. Don’t expect a slick four-star hotel service, this feels more like staying in the guest bedroom of a distant relative with amazing taste. Shared bathroom was perfect, and I loved the little self-catering bar where you can make coffee, tea or find snacks. Location could not be more perfect: less than 5 minutes walk to Turner Contemporary, Shell Grotto, and all the shops, bars and restaurants.
Rooms are above a very busy pub. You are left to your own devices, which I loved, but if you need a lot of service and assistance, this is not the place for you. All the people working here are amazing and friendly though!

Breakfast was in a nice back room and onto the rear patio garden which was a lovely space. Everything you cd want from a self serve breakfast ( unless you are looking for a fry -up). Staff very friendly and relaxed and it's the best pub in Margate. The decor style was quirky - punk noir Victorian?! There is unsuited but we had a very spacious, stylish external bathroom which you may have to share. All recently done.

The warm reception, the tour of the place, the obvious enthusiasm of the staff for the building, and what has been created. The Sunday roast with one of the best gravies I have had and a melange of greens. The beer. The bathroom and rainfall shower, the wee nook of a bar upstairs for the six rooms. I liked it all. The room was small but very cosy and in keeping with the age of the building and more than compensated for by the wee nook.
That I didn't t honeymoon here many years ago to take full advantage of the deliciously squeaky cast iron bedframe.

The apartment was incredibly spacious and felt very decadent. Eclectically and tastefully furnished. Fabulous- 5 star accommodation, great service and delicious food
There was only one problem which we did mention to member of staff on check out. The apartment supplied two little glass bottles of milk in the fridge each cutely labelled by the hotel with a hand written tag; one, Cow and the other Oat. The problem was that they were incorrectly labeled ie. cow's milk was labelled 'oat' and vice versa. This is quite a serious mistake as one of our party is genuinely dairy-free due to a specific skin condition. She drank the cow's milk believing it was oat milk. We eventually noticed that something wasn't right but unfortunately too late. She has since had a skin breakout. This was really disappointing and we would suggest that the perhaps the oat milk is kept in its original container. Other than that we had an amazing experience.

Aaron the assistant manager was super friendly when checking us in and showing us around. All staff we encountered were really friendly. Added thoughtful touches like the earplugs and tote bag for use during the stay were cute. Reggie’s “mini bar” was a lovely little place to chill with a cuppa (or something stronger if you prefer). Breakfast was simple, basic but great quality - croissants were delicious!

Loved how quirky the building is and how much attention went into every detail - little hand written notes, a lounge room with tea, coffee and snacks. The staff are absolutely wonderful, so friendly. Breakfast included and was delicious, and the pub for dinner was also one of the best I’ve had in the uk. Highly recommend

The bedrooms were clean and quirky, beautifully decorated with lovely touches such as ear plugs. The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond, especially Ryan and Ben. I loved the little honesty bar. The whole of place felt like a home from home. It was gorgeous.
Nothing - everything was perfect.
