Great location. 10 minute walk from town and theatre.accessable car park. Hotel has a lovely vibe, modern decor in a old traditional building. My room was clean with all facilities.

It's a shame the water system hasn't been modernised. The shower had to be run for over 10 minutes to get the water hot-which is a little wasteful?! They also do the seem to have many staff? The lady who checked me in (who was very friendly) also ran the bar, was setting a wedding up, and also running breakfast-which was still being set up well after it was supposed to being served.. I ordered the poached eggs-as the menus weren't put on the tables until later ,so i didn't know what was available-but they were cooked to perfection!!

Lots of parking, staff were super friendly and accommodating. It's really well looked after and the room was perfect- quite big, comfy bed, lots of natural light and a large bathtub. Lovely touch of having the radio playing in the room when we arrived so it felt really homely. Ate at the restaurant, delicious food and good-sized portions!

The room was quite warm (it was -4 out so i understand why the heating was upped) so had to hunt round to turn off the radiator. Very very minor though! I would flag re accessibility, there were a lot of stairs up and down to our room because it's clearly an old building. It didn't bother us, but worth mentioning when booking.

Over generous breakfast . There was a great selection of cereal,, fruit, cooked breakfast essentials, etc. Cooked to order. The bedroom was spacious and well maintained. TV radio, WIFI(with easy password) tea/coffee etc. Ensuite very clean. Water pressure, especially the cold water some what low. Staff very helpful and friendly. The ambiance of the hotel is calm and stylish. Location is great for exploring Kent.

The evening meal selection was uninspiring. Expected some seasonal deserts (cherries, strawberries etc) The meals were no doubt excellent but we opted to visit local restaurants. (which were generally cheaper)

As soon as I walked in I was surrounded by comfort, luxury and friendly staff. Beautifully decorated with perfect little touches. We had a few stairs to climb before we got to our room however we could use the lift. Quirky corridors and steps to our room. The room was lovely and warm with a huge bed that was extremely comfortable with clean white covers . The bathroom had a huge bath, 2 sinks and lovely shower, white fluffy towels, gorgeous!

Very little I didn't like but if I was going to be pickey, there was a small leak coming from the bathroom window. I'm sure this could be easily fixed though.

Comfortable, up to date hotel with all the necessary facilities.

There seemed to be a shortage of dedicated staff in areas, with what seemed like security personnel carrying walkie talkies in areas such as the restaurant. Slightly off-putting during an evening meal. There was a venetian blind covering the window inside the shower. Thus should be replaced by a shower screen to cover the entire surface. It was stained and very unpleasant to look at, which is a shame considering everything else was lovely. The staff were friendly and the room and facilities first class.

Luxurious room, superking bed which was super comfortable. It was lovely and quiet in the room with lots of extra touches like a digital radio playing classical music when you arrive. Lovely bathroom with a full bath and bubble-bath. Room was huge.. but then it did cost £200 a night. Good TV and lots of extra facilities in room like a fan. Communal areas are lovely and the impressive looking hotel is right next to the town. Parking was also on-site and free! Excellent (and huge!) breakfast and lovely bar.

My partner and I were looking for stuff to criticise - but couldn't find anything.. and it actually got to the point where we were checking the underside of the soap tray to see if it had any rust on it haha! However.. booking.com let us down as they didn't submit our loyalty payments (we had £50 ish in our booking.com wallet and booking.com failed to honour it.. ). It meant we had to pay the full value on the room.

This is a 3 star hotel so expectations should be rated as such. The room was well above the standard I would expect for 3 star, lovely little note from Housekeeping on the pad and a roberts DAB radio playing Classic FM which we left on all night and set as an alarm in the morning. Considering we are both rock heavy biker types we still really enjoyed the change of pace. Plenty of parking Can't comment on the bar or breakfast as we used neither

Room 3 was pretty noisy in the morning and looked out on the midroof with lots of fans and machinery. It's also up and down some stairs in the old building - absolutely fine for us but something to be aware of. THere is a elevator but if you actually can't do any stairs you will need to specify this.

Lovely hotel with nice rooms and very very nice staff. They couldnt do enough to be helpful and would be happy to reccomend to anyone looking for a comfy place to stay un Tunbridge wells , Laurenne is particular went our f her way to make sure we had evrything we need

My Only ocmplaint is about the so called free wifi whic was more like a data collection form from teh goverment. I odnt see how pr why I shoudl havhe to put in all my detaikls to access free wifi in a hotel that alsready has ny information. So I didint use it but it was a bit frustrating.

Everything about this hotel is first class, from the welcome when you arrive at reception to the excellent service in the restaurant, we had dinner there both nights of our stay and the food was beautifully cooked and presented. The breakfast was also exceptionally good, cooked to order, not buffet style. Our rooms were very comfortable and clean. I cannot understand why this hotel has only 3 stars!

We stayed 29th and 30th July, hottest days of the year so far, and as no air-conditioning in the rooms it got very warm, fans are supplied which helped. But it would not put me off from staying there again, how many days do we get in UK over 30 degrees!

The hotel dates back to the reign of Queen Victoria who apparently stayed there on occasions. The decor is very clean, well presented and fitting for its age. The Library bar/lounge is very comfortable and a good place to relax after a day out. The hotel has a good location on edge of the Common just 5 minutes above the town. Staff friendly and welcoming. Food very good; we had dinner first night which was well presented and tasty. The breakfasts were excellent and very good selection to keep you satisfied for most of the day. We would recommend it as a good location for a visit to Tunbridge Wells.
