The Old Station is just outside of St. Andrews on a nice piece of property. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast very good, and we enjoyed the visit. Our room was comfortable and everything worked as it should.

Nothing with the Old Station itself, but being outside of town it wasn't easy for my wife to consider taking a run from there as the road is pretty busy. We solved the problem by going into St. Andrews and taking a long walk on the beach there which was probably more enjoyable anyway.

I loved the location and the gorgeous look of place, dry quaint. Outdoor furniture to sit and enjoy gardens. Dry well kept guest house really excellent . Family that own and run place stay onsite and nothing to much bother actually feel like extended family staying in house , amazing people. Breakfast great and breakfast room perfect size, I chatted to a few of guest including couple visiting from Australia. , Would stay again great location xx

If I had to nit pick? I would defo say better WiFi and upgraded tvs in rooms as ones just now are old one with no smart features that everybody looks for in a place to stay . I couldn’t get WiFi most of time to watch things on my phone and I think if we are paying £180 pn we at least expect smart tv,s and decent WiFi in these climates. Apart from those / gripes I can’t fault it , as I say expensive if not getting those facilities. My autistic son was supposed to. Be staying with me but didn’t, if I had arrived with no smart tv but especially not great WiFi we would have had melt down.

The cleanliness of the accommodation and facilities (including inside the house - living area for guests) were excellent, The hosts were extremely efficient and breakfast service was very professional.

The cooked breakfast menu was quite limited - being vegetarian, I would have loved a Scots porridge option. The mattress was very soft (not our personal preference) and two rather big window leaks, which I'm sure the owners are aware of in the coach (bedroom and bathroom). These couple of points did not detract from a great stay.

Fresh strawberries and blueberries were great. Hot breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty but limited menu (full Scottish). Toast was always cold, so probably cooked earlier and tea was only ever warm ( large tea pot probably not warmed)

Limited menu. I had requested a vegetarian breakfast when completing on- line registration but this was not available first morning, Dean did ensure they were available the following 3 mornings. Cold toast and only warm tea.

We stayed in the old converted railway carriage - a unique experience! It was extremely clean with lovely furnishings, lots of hot water and a very comfortable bed. Our hosts Dean and Ailsa were extremely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was beautifully cooked to order and the local strawberries were incredible! We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Lovely b&b in gorgeous grounds. Easily accessible to town by short taxi or drive. Hosts were lovely and breakfast was nice. Little games room to relax and have a drink and have a game of pool or board games. Would definitely return. We stayed in the carriage which was quirky and something different.

The proprietor and breakfast server were exceptionally helpful and kind to us, guiding us to tourist sites and available. The downstairs common area was so comfortable. There are things to do like ping pong, pool and a few other things that we didn't use but it's unusual and would have been fun. The setting is lovely, nice to be a short distance from town - quiet and beautiful grounds. I liked the candy they set out by the entry!

Our room was really small. We figured one of us needed to sit on the bed while the other move around. It's ok because it is an historical building and the good aspects made up for the cozy room and stairs. These old buildings have to add bathrooms to the rooms which makes them smaller!

We had a wonderful time! Our room was nicely done and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast options were everything we wanted in a lovely setting. We watched Luna bring him her breakfast and we enjoyed the reaction of another family’s children to seeing Luna with a mouse - they were so excited 😆. It was great to meet the owners - so friendly and welcoming. My wife Kate says that, if you ever need an assistant manager, she’s available! It’s a long commute from North Carolina but she’ll make it work.

Nothing! The right turn out of the entranceway takes a little practice when there’s traffic but I got the hang of it!

Location was perfect for a wedding nearby, the room was really comfy and the bathroom facilities were great. We were greeted as soon as we entered the guest home with a true friendly Scottish welcome. Breakfast at the property was brilliant, fresh coffee, fruit juices, fruit and pastries were available while the hot option was being prepared.

We stayed in the railway carriage. It was fun for one evening, but might have been a bit cramped for a longer visit. Its certainly comfortable, with sitting room, bedroom and en-suite shower. The garden is nice with furniture provided. It even has basic golf practice area for chipping etc. Breakfast was really great.

The interior of the railway carriage is perhaps becoming a little dated. But some would say it fits with the period of the railway carriage. It's a little way out of town, so driving to and from St Andrews is necessary.
