Friendly staff.

No A/C in first room although advertised with, once moved rooms fine. Standards in room 1 were far less than room 5 - chipped desk, mark on wardrobe door, bad marks on wall above mirror, one mirror missing from set of three above be, wrong toilet brush for toilet and no plug sockets at the desk!! Service & staff were great it was the standards and attention to detail letting down. Hopefully this will be seen as constructive feedback. Also needed urgently are fire signs completed properly around the hotel and on the back of the room doors and the Assembly Point must be moved. Thank you for the pleasant stay!!

As a party of four we had an excellent stay at the King Hotel at the weekend. The rooms were lovely and clean, the beds comfortable, and our breakfast Sunday morning was very good. We had our evening meal at the attached Raja of Kent Indian restaurant, and it was excellent. The menu provided a number of different meals to those we are used to here in the West Midlands, and while two of our party had tried and tested meals, myself and my Niece chose dishes we had not seen before, and both left us wishing they could be obtained locally. We all agreed the meals were delicious and it is great credit to the restaurant chefs for producing such lovely food. No matter how good hotel facilities are it is the staff who make the difference, and again we all agreed the staff at the King Hotel were the best. Friendly, helpful and ever ready to offer help or answer our questions, even giving my niece a tour of their vegetable garden, they were a credit to the hotel. I highly recommend the King Hotel.

My bedroom had 1 bedside cabinet which was unfortunately on the side where the ceiling drastically sloped. The bedside light switch was also on this side. I would have banged my head on the ceiling if I had slept that side and needed to get up in the night. It didn't help that the socket with the usb ports, for charging your phone, was on the other side, This meant I had to have my phone by the side of my pillow as I needed it for the morning alarm. Not very well thought out really. The hotel was in the middle of nowhere with nowhere nearby.

We have stayed at a few hotels in our time, but without doubt this far the best Hotel we have stayed in! The accommodation was 1st class, amazing staff and nothing was too much trouble, a lovely quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant was again 1st class and a real dinning experience. Yes we will definitely return when in the area without a shadow of a doubt. Thank you King’s hotel and their amazing staff,

Having to leave?

The rooms were a good size and the bedding was clean and comfy.

Rooms didn’t come with an iron or hair dryer - assume available on request - but would have been ideal if they were already in the room. Reception staff on arrival could have been a bit friendlier. Terrible trip hazard out the front that was not very visible. It was tripped over and driven over, needs better visibility. Walls are a bit thin could hear other guest tvs, luckily they turned them off as it got much later.

Breakfast is freshly cooked, it's linked to a Indian restaurant which does great food, we were only able to get a takeaway from the restaurant in the evening as the restaurant was fully booked for a live music night so they had no room for people staying in the hotel overnight and no mention of the event made on the booking confirmation, food was still good though.

Nice location, had air conditioning, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very polite and friendly.

The room we had was clean and comfortable but it did have sloping ceiling so kept bumping head. We were only staying one night so it was fine but if staying longer I would ask for a downstairs room.

Lovely little place quite near the Tenterden Railway area which we visited. Plenty of parking and the entrance area was very clean. The room was clean and the shower was good. The road nearby was busy but this was not an issue once inside the building.

Path to front entrance from the carpark had a raised edge which was clearly marked to indicate the raised area so you need to pay attention to that when you get nearer the front entrance.

Room was exceptionally clean and tidy. We literally only needed a bed for the night so it was ideal. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel and there are no extra facilities such as bar/lounge apart from the Indian Restaurant attached.

Needed taxis into Tenterden but we knew that when we booked so pre booked those.

We stayed on a room only basis as we were visiting Chapel Down vineyard nearby. Room was very clean and tidy. Friendly staff very accommodating. Would also recommend eating in their Indian restaurant on site. Very good evening meal. Would recommend pre booking taxis if planning to visit the vineyard.
