Cheap price for dog that why I booked here Hotel had carpark and plenty of spaces outside of hotel No dodgey people in this area as it's far from the rough horrible town
It's dated so will not suit the rich snobs. It has a bar and although not the hotels fault the stupid guests who think it's acceptable to talk loudly on their way to their room late at night Management will need to review the housekeeping arrangements. I don't believe there were any do not disturb hangers available so I noticed the housekeeping person knocking on a guests room door announcing housekeeping and then entering whilst not taking into account the guest might be having a lie in having a shower or on the toilet.

The staff are all really lovely and helpful. The rooms are clean and the bed is really comfortable. The location is fantastic and all over vibes are wonderful. The food look really good unfortunately We only stayed one night and checked out before breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
There wasn’t really much not to like. The rooms could do with a fridge. The only downfall for us is that we booked the place to rest. The live music that I’m sure is more than appropriate in this beautiful holiday destination. But not great if you need to sleep. As sweet Caroline and other classics blasting through the walls being sang by the locals is not the zen I was looking for.

Breakfast - Very good selection and good quality. Always room in dining hall. Drinks - Good choice of alcoholic drinks, plenty of cocktails on the menu. Staff - Every member of staff we encountered was always very pleasant and helpful. Location - Very good, walking distance to Babbacombe beach and also a nice walk into Torquay (30 Mins) Rooms - We had a small double and it had everything in the room you needed, shower was a bit small but apart from that all good. Parking - Loads of parking onsite and also on the road around hotel. Facilities - We used the spa for one day of our stay and really enjoyed it, nice pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.
The hotel just needs a bit of an update, small things like dirt around door handles, new carpet required and when we used the pool / spa the view of the hotel outside wall could be improved by maybe painting a nice mural on it (beach themed). Nothing really bad just some TLC in places.

Lovely welcoming staff, dinner evening meal was well organised and the even g entertainment was enjoyable. The rooms are a 3 star however I would stay again the down stairs bar and outdoor gardens with cafe was delightful . The outdoor pool and spa was very welcome int he sunshine with bar and restaurant service straight to the Sunlounger lounge. A 30 minute walk into Torquay itself with a few lovely restaurants nearby if you didn’t want to manage to walk. The staff of the hotel are super friendly and accommodating., this made this day for us
The bed room had everything you needed , a little dated but extremely comfortable.

Absolutely loved the property. We often spend 5 times more on a hotel room and are left underwhelmed. Our room was £50 including breakfast. What’s not to like? It’s about managing your expectations. Staff have been incredibly lovely, especially Daisy. A lovely pool, hot tub, sauna, steam. We saw a great act last night then sat out in the lovely gardens. O and genuinely had one of the best burgers we have ever had. When reading some of the reviews I would take them with a pinch of salt, because some people just want to moan about everything, there is one such couple here now. Can’t wait to go back. And can’t recommend it enough of you want a cheap get away.

The breakfast was nice, Location was adequate, Staff were friendly enough, Family room was nice and spacious.
Didn't like having to pay £10 cash only to staff for the use of a fan after requesting this on our booking. Didn't like having to wait over 2 hours extra to check in when told the check in time was 2pm all because the room was not ready. Staffing issue maybe? Found a hair in the breakfast however did not hinder our stay. At the bar I asked for a cruz campo beverage & was served this in a becks pint glass & was told the cruz campo glasses were all missing from the hotel.

Just wrapped up a short stay at this wonderful hotel, and I already miss it — and more importantly, the people who make it what it is! Huge shoutout to Trevor – the main man himself – who was incredibly accommodating and made everything feel effortlessly smooth. The receptionists were stars – super helpful, always cheerful, and somehow knew the answers to my questions before I even asked them. Special appreciation goes to the coffee wizard in the café — that machine was probably sent from heaven, but it takes a real pro to work magic with it. I’ve had less emotional relationships than the one I developed with my morning latte. And of course, hats off to the pool guy – the spa and pool were very well maintained. Every single member of staff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely lovely. I really enjoyed my short stay – wish it could have been longer! Thanks again!
Could do with an outside shower next to the pool or a sign for other guests to shower before and in between spa facilities, though there is a shower indoors.

Staff were excellent especially daisy, Aaron, Russell, and all the ladies in the restaurant and the internal coffee shop which was a surprise (great for working on laptop etc.). Bar was very good and the outside area is brilliant. Room has everything you need except little things like glass for water in bathroom but I didn’t ask and am sure staff would have found me one. One last thing it has a 24 hr bar which is not mentioned in booking.com so BONUS!!!
For the price you get what you pay for but I think you get more than you pay for here so nothing to complain about

Amazing value for money, location and facilities were more than expected for a small family hotel. The rooms were compact but functional and clean ( we had 2 standard twin rooms) The pool area was lovely, nice comfortable sun loungers and chairs and didn’t feel cramped. The Jacuzzi are was a lovely, being undercover made it more usable in the English weather! The front garden and bar area provided a lovely place to relax with the dog whilst having a nice glass of wine before and after dinner. Food and drinks all reasonably priced. Breakfast was amazing value at £7.50 for the buffet of pastries, fruit and yogurt, toast, cereal and hot food. Despite the negative reviews this breakfast was far better than I have had in many of the big chain hotels of a 3 star rating and served by staff who care and want to help - this is priceless and makes a good stay even better.
The rooms could do with some kind of air conditioning as they are on the compact side.

A great welcome from Daisy at reception and our concerns about the stairs for our dog to tackle were alleviated by her suggestion to use the disabled ramps for our dog. The room was in a quiet area of the hotel and was a good size with plenty of room to move around. The bed was a good size and very comfortable with quality pillows and bedding. The bathroom was adequate for a good wash or shower/bath and equipped with soaps and body wash etc. The towels were lovely and fluffy. Breakfast is exceptional and there's so much choice from porridge to croissants, fried eggs to green tea. You can gorge yourselves silly if you want to or just try something different than your usual taste. It's located in a popular area with a great dog walking park (Cary park) just along the road (2 minutes from the hotel back door) and access to the town centre or tourist areas is equally easy to do.
Nothing to dislike.
