Well….what a gem!! It has everything pool, hot tub, bar, snacks at lunch time, games, pool table, the owner was a DJ so excellent chilled 80’s music right through to current!! The rooms are just super clean the en-suite decorated to high level & great shower! Lots of tea, coffee and milk sachets with biscoff biscuits. We a had a small twin (12) but absolutely loved it!! Definitely having that room again!! The owners and their sons were just thee most delightful hosts and nothing was to difficult for them hugely obliging and just such a wonderful family!! The breakfasts are just lovely great ordering system and catered for those with food allergies. We sat around the pool all day this week and I felt I really was on holiday music playing sun blazing the pool glistening in the sunlight bar was open drinks brought to your table too just thee most memorable holiday at this hotel. The lodge is just well maintained and exceptionally clean bright and so very interesting decor and ornaments, you just want to keep looking around at it all, love the DVD cabinet if you’re up to watching a movie old style!! Such a great touch. The above is just a snapshot of the premises they have plenty of different sized rooms the gardens are green plush and maintained well. Plenty more to see & add…. But go see for yourself..we found it by chance sooo glad we did!! It’s our go to from now on. Highly recommend. 10/10.

Absolutely nothing. And we are hotel staying people from the grandest to the basic we know what we like and look for we have a keen eye… this place is just brilliant.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. Everywhere was impeccably clean; all of the staff were friendly, polite and courteous and the breakfast was really good. In particular, I would like to single out the attention given to my wife to ensure her dietary requirements were met; she is vegan, and at other places where we have stayed, the catering in this regard has not always been of a good standard. This was most certainly not the case here: the staff went out of their way to ensure that she was provided for every bit as well as the meat-eating guests. I would recommend this hotel without the slightest hesitation, and we certainly intend to make a return visit.

Found this hotel quite by accident and I fell lucky. The hotel is beautifully presented, spotless everywhere with great food a well stocked bar (with reasonable prices) a pool and a hot tub (Bookable at no additional charge). If you fancy a night in there's loads of free games all in a very nice lounge area. The two owners who run it are friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to make their guests stay an enjoyable experience. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough.

My husband and I had a lovely stay here at the Rivera Lodge Hotel. The owners and staff were incredibly helpful and very considerate of my disabilities. The hotel was very clean, tidy, and well-located—close to the town, railway station, and regular bus services. My husband was pleased to use his Freedom Pass with no issues. We also enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Would definitely return—highly recommended!

Some of the roads were very hilly. but it did keep me fit.

Relaxed, quiet atmosphere as soon as we walked in. Nicki and her team could not do enough for us, so accommodating. Delicious served breakfast (nice change from a buffet and individually cooked). Loved we could swim in the pool before breakfast and have sundowners before dinner! Adults only made a huge difference due to quiet atmosphere.

Nothing! We would just book a bigger bed next time (room sizes absolutely fine, we just needed a queen/king bed)

A wonderful relaxed and welcoming perfect hotel 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟,we had a week's stay here.The owners Nicky and John were amazing👏👏💕and also lovely Ellie who served our beautiful breakfast and cleaned our room,all so efficient,welcoming and friendly,We really couldn't have wished for any better ❤️Thankyou all for making our holiday a special one 🥰,will deffinatly be returningxx

What's not to like!!

The pictures make everything looks a lot bigger than real life. It is a little lodge with an absolutely amazing character. I believe it is run by the owners, who certainly go the extra mile to make your visit the most friendly, welcoming and charming. A lot of attention has been paid to the details inside the rooms and around the whole place. Everything is so functional, delicate, elegant and sweet. You can't help but feel "Aaaaahhhh". Breakfast choices are not many, but all food is freshly and nicely prepared. They give you all the local knowledge as well about where to eat, where to go and so on. Very good location to the sea, city centre and other attraction, but no sea view.

The room was too small, but we did not mind very much as we were out most of the day and the bar and pool area was very comfortable to use in the evening.

Hotel is exceptionally clean, our room appeared to have refurbished with some nice touches like a small sofa and a coffee machine. Pool was lovely and clean and welcoming bar with a good selection of drinks. Breakfast was efficient with an ordering system to select your meal and beautifully cooked with a great selection of fruit and pastries.staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Would definitely stay again. Good location short walk to promenade with some nice restaurants nearby

Parking was available but not enough for all guests and spaces were a little tight, some guests had to park on road.

Everything! The hotel is located in the perfect place for getting to the beach or having a wander into the centre. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They couldn’t do enough for you. The facilities at Riviera lodge were wonderful, especially the outdoor pool. We was fortunate to get the sun so enjoyed cocktails by the pool. They also have a hot tub which you can book a time slot for per couple which makes it more private. We booked this after a 10mile walk so it was well needed! Our room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. We had breakfast every morning which we enjoyed- top quality ingredients, full of flavour and service with a smile.

The only negative that we have was the bed! It was either the springs in the mattress or the wooden bed frame but every time we moved, it was very creaky which didn’t make for a good nights sleep. It would not put us off staying again though as this is something that could easily be resolved.

My friend and I arrived earlier then the stated check-in time and they let us in very quickly. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and we booked the hot tub twice - without any waiting - at all. The room was clean, we went for breakfast twice in the morning and the service was efficient and quite quick. Breakfast was excellent. The location of the hotel is near the beach/town centre yet it's in a quiet area. There was a bar was inside the hotel and they were playing nice music all the time. If you wanted to stay outside on the patio at night you could - they had blankets ready by the door nearby. Facilities were amazing (hot tub, swimming pool, chess, pool) We recommend staying at this particular hotel.

There was a spider inside our room behind a picture that was on the wall. The room smelled moldy and had a strange smell.
