Really welcoming staff on arrival. Very happy with location, refreshments and comfort of room. Night porter was really helpful and pleasant.

Receptionist on Saturday afternoon was really rude and sarcastic with colleague when I asked about the evening dining options on the way to pool. Towels had run out and when she got some more gave me the towel and no instructions on the lockers use. Thought it was very unprofessional, although she was better tempered in the evening. Both mornings for breakfast a table had to be found and laid up. Buffet was not refreshed and on both occasions I was standing waiting and finally had to find staff and request juice and yogurt. Asked for my pot of tea twice on the Sunday.

The staff were very welcoming, and the hotel was clean in all areas. It is popular with coach trips and copes well even when fully booked. We booked the signature room which was bigger than a standard room and had a sea view, bed was very comfortable and the bathroom enormous, about half the size of the bedroom. Reception were able to answer all our questions, the dining room staff were all cheery and appeared happy to work there. Free parking on site, swimming pool and spa area.

With the size of room, it would have been nice to have a sofa or easy chair to sit on as the chairs were uncomfortable for longer periods. Harsh chemicals were used when cleaning the bathroom, and effected both of us, we requested that they not be used in the room while we stayed and this was accommodated. The lounge could have had more comfy seats, as the sofas and comfy chairs were quickly occupied.

Lovely hotel, beautifully decorated and I have to give a special mention to Alicia in the dining room and Chloe on reception as they were both happy, smiley and helpful. It is always nice to feel as welcome as couples and parties, as I'm a lone traveller and this is not always the case. Food was very good, although I did feel that that the supplements for the food on top of the £38 set menu were a bit steep, ie £9 extra for 3 tiny scallops and £15 extra for the steak. Both evenings had good entertainment, fitting for this type of hotel.

The only issue I really had was the amount of stairs, both up and down, that it took to get to my room (130). I am registered partially sighted and have mobility issues, so it made it a bit difficult for me. That wasn't really the fault of the hotel as I hadn't mentioned this as the time of booking.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very nice - I really liked the mini-fridge being equipped with a bottle of fresh milk and water jug. I liked the choice of soap for the bathroom (orange and cedar). The choice of teas was also more than I'd usually see at other places, and it was all presented quite neatly in its own little box. I had breakfast and the hot food was quite nice, the selection of pastries and cereals etc was also nice to see.

I was a bit startled by the TV turning on on its own at 8am. At this price point I think air conditioning would be good to see, but my room didn't have any.

A very warm welcome. Friendly & helpful staff without exception , nothing too much trouble. Food was amazing, imaginative, well presented and delicious, Room was spacious with newly fitted bathroom. Free parking. If you read this & think my praise is exaggerated please believe me it's not !

Difficult to find a negative comment. Perhaps the fact that our room was at the front and was quite light overnight from exterior lights but it was not really a problem.

Great location...lovely staff...the cleaners (housekeepers) do an excellent job. The chef is A1. Excellent food...i could go on & on. This hotel dont do things in half. Father Christmas 6 course dinner Pianist Live music (well done to the lady) & Disco

The entrance into the gym/spa area can be demacated/partitioned...for privacy....coming out to the dining area (restaurant) is not pleasant

The bedroom was above the kitchen and the kitchen fan was a constant drone in the room and a total vibration in the bathroom. I extractor went off around. 2200 in the evening but back on at around. 0615. In the morning which woke me up and kept me awake. I told reception that it was a problem , but there seemed little interest. This was room 126 .

The hotel offered a restaurant and pool facilities

the room we had was small for two people and we could hear the band playing at night the night we stayed the hotel felt like a retirement village. the average age of the other guests would have been 75+

I thought it was a very relaxing stay. Nice to have the swimming pool and spa.

We just thought it would be to have m byore varied entertainment which you could not see if you were not in the restaurant.

Breakfast was delicious although a small serving, just a shame it wasn't a buffet style/ all you can eat like the cereals and other breakfast items were.

The bed wasn't very comfortable, and the cooked breakfast could of been bigger.
