Top notch Boutique B&B, amazing rooms cannot praise this place enough. We had room 5 which was huge. The decor and attention to detail through out the property and especially our room was 10/10. Gary welcomed us warmly on arrival and we remained on first name terms with him for the whole weekend. Nothing was ever too much trouble, the breakfast was spot on. Gary helped us no end to ensure we planned our day and booked us last night minute to a wonderful fish restaurant in town. The front garden is very tropical and the terrace very comfy. Spent a few hours chilling there in the evening and enjoying the fantastic honesty bar provided. The Torquay weather was gorgeous, we could easily have been abroad sipping our drinks on the terrace. .

We had an exceptional stay truly one of the best we’ve experienced. The hosts and staff consistently went above and beyond our expectations, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The building itself is stunning beautifully maintained with a perfect blend of charm and contemporary comfort. Every space, from the guest rooms to the communal areas, was thoughtfully designed and aesthetically pleasing, creating a relaxing and luxurious environment. The breakfast was a standout: beautifully presented, incredibly generous, and served with attentive table service. It was clear a lot of care and thought went into every detail. Gary and Phil were fantastic personable, engaging, and always happy to share their local knowledge. Their recommendations for day excursions really elevated our trip, helping us make the most of our time and discover some hidden gems. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made our stay not just comfortable, but memorable. Highly recommended, thanks Gary and Phil.

Very spacious property with lovely garden and terrace. Benefits from having a private car park which was perfect for exploring Torquay. Both Gary and Philip were amazing hosts , attentive and polite. Breakfast was exceptional, freshly cooked hot breakfast and an array of cereals, fruits and yogurts available.

Not much to dislike, however next time I would opt for one of the bigger rooms. None were available for us at the time of booking. As a result it was a little too hot and cramped. However it was warm weather and we do travel with loads of luggage.

Upon arrival we were met by Gary who instantly made us both feel very welcome and at home. When he found out it was my son's wedding he offered to iron our clothes if needed. The hotel is without a doubt the best we have ever stayed in. The decor is out of this world and our room instantly felt like home. 5 star rating is simply not enough for this gem of a place. Then after the most amazing sleep we had the best breakfast. The produce was local and obviously cooked with love. We can't wait to come back and stay again.

The only thing we didn't like was having to leave such a beautiful place run by beautiful people.

Both hosts were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of local knowledge, which was very useful. Breakfast was superb, they obviously use good quality ingredients. My partner, unfortunately was unwell at the start of our break, and what could have been a stressful time for us, was made so much easier because Gary and Philip were so caring and helpful. Lovely location and garden was a beautiful heaven to sit in and relax. One more plus, the best beds we have slept in while holidaying, ever.

Easy to find , safe parking, beautiful house inside and out and a personal greeting on arrival by a wonderful host! The hotel is a thoughtfully designed perfect blend of quintessentially British architecture with a subtle Thai twist, hard to picture but I assure you it’s a delight :) Gary and Philip are both born hoteliers, their passion for providing a warm and welcoming environment is a breath of fresh air. Immaculate rooms, very comfortable, warm and extremely well equipped. Breakfast cooked to order, high standard of ingredients and I can highly recommend Philips perfect scrambled eggs 10/10

Loved everything

The B&B was superb. The welcome from Philip and Gary was genuine and they made us both feel comfortable and welcome immediately. The room was well appointed with a great sized bathroom and good quality handwash and shower gels. Proper milk was available rather than UHT milk which was a real bonus for me. The B&B has a beautiful garden and the honesty bar was a great idea and made our stay all the more pleasant. Thank you Philip and Gary for making our stay that little bit extra special.

A warm welcome from Gary and Philip, amazing hosts! Anything we needed, they were there at the ring of a bell or a phone call. They are both very passionate about their b&b (actually I'd describe it more as a boutique hotel rather than a b&b) and this is clear to see in the way they treat their guests and how they maintain their property. The Torcroft is stunning! The decor is absolutely beautiful with so many lovely finishing touches, and they keep it spotlessly clean. We were originally supposed to be staying at a travelodge with a large group of family and friends but we left it a little late to book and the price had gone up so I decided to look for something else. As soon as I found the Torcroft, I booked it as it was amazing value for money with breakfast included, a free parking space and a short walk to the town centre. We had a freshly cooked hot breakfast each morning with the option of extra cereals, toast and jams, yogurts etc. Breakfast was delicious! Can't recommend this place enough and will definitely stay here again if we visit Torquay in the future or we will enquire about Gary and Philips apartments if we bring our children and dog next time. Thank you so much Gary and Philip for looking after us, we had a lovely weekend at the Torcroft.

There was nothing we didn't like! Everything was perfect!

Everything about our stay at the Torcroft was great, starting with the location which was great, getting to the marina was a short walk down the hill and along the coast path or alternatively along the rock walk. The room was lovely with a comfy bed and the bar area and breakfast room were both beautifully decorated. The breakfast was fabulous, we stayed long enough to try a lot of the options on their menu and everything was delicious. Gary and Philip were also very lovely hosts and extremely helpful. They made lots of good suggestions for places to visit nearby and thanks to those tips we visited lots of lovely places near Torquay we wouldn't have otherwise thought to visit. We didn't quite manage to visit everywhere they recommended so will definitely be returning in the future!

The Torcroft was up a short incline which was great as many of the hotels/guesthouses are a lot higher up in this quite hilly resort. It was about ten minutes walk on the flat to the town and most of the restaurants although there are a few quite near the hotel. The breakfast was plentiful with a few different choices. There was a lovely honesty bar in the lounge with a fantastic variety of beers, wines and spirits. The owners are a lovely couple of guys who made us feel really welcome.

The room was lovely and comfortable but a bit smaller than we had anticipated for a standard room. Plenty of tea & coffee with fresh milk in the fridge downstairs to help yourself to…although no biccies to have with an afternoon cuppa. The “buffet” part of the breakfast was in fact table service. I personally would have preferred to choose my own buffet food so that I could control how much cereal, etc., I wanted…the portions were quite large. Please note that these are not criticisms, merely my observations and personal choice. This is a fabulous, friendly small hotel and we would definitely visit again.
