I'm autistic as well as a couple of other diagnoses, as well as being highly distressed due to what's transpired and I went the wrong way when I arrived and the gentleman came after me to show me again where to go. The single rooms had also been fully booked despite me booking one, so was upgraded to a double at no extra cost. A very comfortable room. Warm and clean. Quiet. No WiFi which sucks, so maybe some repeaters along the hallways to bring WiFi from the reception to the rooms? I'd happily book again, which I might have too, due to being homeless through no fault of my own, as well as human rights abuses and neglect committed by Torbay Council, TSDFT, DPNHST and D&CP. I wish the owners the best.

We were moved to a ground floor room when the kind gentleman noticed I was on crutches which was above and beyond. We were able to come and go when we pleased and added bonus was that the parking was free although when I called and got through to I believe was a sakes rep or booking staff they saod I would have to pay.

The floors were uneven but to be honest it wasn't a huge deal. When I called I belive I got through to the chain call centre and they lied to me and pushed very hard for me to book with them instead of booking.com claiming she was cheaper (which she wasn't at all) I only called to discus disabled parking and instead of answering the question (which she could not) she pushed far to hard it was uncomfortable.

The staff was very helpful I turned up very early wanting to check in they was not only able to check me in but for a small fee of £10 I could have my room upgraded from a single to a double

Some of the wallpaper in the room was coming away from the walls. And the building was old and dated but I think this added to its charm.

100 m to beach with price cheap there is nothing more you could ask for. price related to location is 10/10 had great weekend for very reasonable price

maybe the smell of carpet in the reception , but for the price you pay you should not worry about that

Such great value for money, staying in the 6 weeks holiday as a family. although this hotel does not have any facilities, this does not impact your stay, quite the opposite, we slept in a comfortable bed, clean bedroom and our room had its own shower room, with a lovely power shower. That’s all we needed for our stay, we have explored all the wonderful sites Torbay has to offer, including going to the attractions, made wonderful memories as a family together, this was all made possible by the hotel not having any facilities. The price paid for our stay here plus all of our activities is much lower than staying in a hotel which has facilities. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the owner is a very lovely lady. The reviews on this website are very unfair. Decor might not be to your own taste, but you are not living in the hotel or purchasing it. This hotel will now be the hotel which we return to several times a year, as I am that satisfied for value for money. If you are looking for a hotel that offers you more than a comfortable bed to sleep and a nice shower to clean yourself, then this hotel is not for you. If however you are only wanting a base and want to explore Torbay, this hotel is the one for you.

The man who checked me in moved me to a better room which was very comfortable. He was very kind.

The lounge area is old and not so nice. But as the room was so nice, it didn't bother me.

Display is close Sherwood I book for one night weekend but hotel close and charge me app booking Still I waiting for my money back

Rubbish place

The lady who owns the property is very friendly and helpful, location is close to everything 5 minutes walk to the beach.

General manager was the best I’ve personally ever dealt with. Totally understandable of 6 lads enjoying a weekend away. Anything we needed he helped. Top bloke, and great value for money.

Squeaky floor

I stayed at the hotel with my 2 year old daughter and partner as we staying just the one night for a family birthday party nearby. The two staff members were so kind and welcoming, even gave my daughter chocolate. It was nice to be shown to our room too. The beds were comfy and facilities were good and for £54 a night it was great value for money. So close to the sea front and for half the price of Premier Inn!
