Lovely property overall but we were in the Harry Potter themed room which was extra special with lots of added touches! Dining room and other guest areas very clean and welcoming. The property is in a great location just a short walk from Cassiobury Park, centre of Watford and both train and tube lines. When we arrived we were greeted by Marek the Manager who couldn’t have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful providing us with all we may need to know on arrival and going the extra mile to help. (We’d had car trouble on our long journey and he recommended someone at a local garage we could try.) We would definitely stay again and happily recommend Ricky Road to friends & family.

Marek who manages the hotel was very helpful and kind and made us feel at home. The guesthouse was easy to locate. We drove but some of the party came on the train from Manchester. Great location to reach harry potter studios. The free shuttle bus is handy if youre happy to wallk a mile. to the pick up point. We were in the car so could drive and park for free at the studio. Back to the rooms, we had superior suite and there was plenty of room for 2 parents and 2 children to sleep. There was an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, coffee machine with bottles of water left for us and coffee capsules. Beds were very comfy. Lovely shower, inc shampoo, shower gel, plenty of towels. Breakfast was basic (croissants, cereal, bread, fruit, yoghurts, hot and cold drinks, but quality and plenty of it. The only downsides were the floors.are thin and so we heard footsteps in the night that were loud enough to wake us. Also the B&B is situated near a road and the windows aren't well insulated enough to exclude the road noise. That said we still.slept relatively well. There's a nice park about 100m down the road which was handy especially with kids and there are loads of restaurants in the area. Sam the owner was as helpful as marek and sent us loads of suggestions before our stay so we could spend our time wisely enjoying rather than wondering where to go. St albans is reachable on train or car and is a gorgeous place. London is also nearby and best reached by train from Watford, we didn't go but would have if we had stayed more than 3 nights All in all we had a lovely time

Great apartments. Our room had everything we could possibly need. The interior was thought out to the smallest detail. The host Marek is very caring, answered all our questions. He also made sure that our room was decorated for daughter's 16th birthday and even left a small surprise for all family members. The location is ideal for visiting Warner Bros. Studio. 15-20 minutes away from Wadford Junction, there is a free bus that also takes you there and back. Thank you, Marek, for your care, I recommend visiting and you definitely won't be disappointed.🙂

Just came back from a WONDERFUL stay at Ricky Road Guest House. Our lovely suite was beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable. A great use of the space and equipped with everything you might need. Marek took great care of us upon arrival and during our stay. If you need restaurant recommendations he is definitely your guy! Sam was readily available through whatsapp to answer any questions or requests we had. A 10 out of 10 for customer service! There is a Tesco supermarket at a 6 minute easy walk for any essentials you might need. My son and I had an amazing time visiting Warner Bros Studios "The Making of Harry Potter" and all the wonders Central London has to offer. Both (and Luton airport) can be easily reached by public transportation and/or Uber.

Marek was so friendly upon arrival, explained everything and we were lucky enough to get a free upgrade due to a cancellation so ended up with a gorgeous studio room. The room was lovely, breakfast was simple but effective (& they had GF granola which I was not expecting but was grateful for!), parking was safe and off road and the location is perfect both for Harry Potter studios and travelling into London on the train. We could not have asked for a better stay and will definitely return in the future & recommend 110%!

What’s not to like? It was clean, easy to find, room was spacious and well laid out. The tea / coffee / kitchenette facilities were all brilliant too. We stayed for my partners birthday, so I messaged when I booked with them back in February to ask if they would be willing to decorate the room. They went above and beyond just the requested banner and balloons 🎈 providing a little cake and harry potter keychain at no additional cost to myself! Marek, who showed us around the place & explained how breakfast works was super friendly, sent us some information about recommended places to eat in the town centre. Sam who saw us coming in with all our bags offered to help us up to the room with them. We were able to leave the car in the designated parking and walk into the town centre (took us maybe 15-20 minutes to get to the top of the high street, and I’m a slow walker).

There is, genuinely, nothing that we did not like about the property. Cannot fault them on the room, customer service, breakfast options! All of it is awesome.

We have travelled all around Europe (as a family) but we never encountered such level of professionalism, kindness, attention to detail and client orientation as we encountered at Ricky's. We stayed for one week (7 nights) and we cannot recommend it enough. Marek (the manager) went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything that we need. Thank you so much, Marek! During our stay it was my son's birthday and when we got back from Harry Potter studios, we found the room decorated for a birthday party, with a cake, sweets and presents. Needles to say that we were speechless. The Wizard Room was very big, very clean with absolutely everything that you would need for a short/longer stay. The matresses were very comfy, the kitchen was fully equiped and the room. was cleaned up every day. It is much more than in the photos:) I recommend Ricky's with all my heart as it was an amazing experience.

We stayed here for a couple of nights with a visit to Warner Brothers studio after the 1st night. The 1st night they offered us the themed room which was amazing, so many little details nodding to various Harry Potter moments which made the stay more special. The 2nd night we stayed in the Deluxe Studio (not themed). This room was really nice, cosy and bright. Both rooms were clean and had great facilities and the place itself is just round the corner from a Tescos which is very convenient.

Upstairs room temperature was very warm (as the weather was very hot) which they couldn't control, but provided fans in the room.

It was a nice little place, room was clean and smell free, wasn't as noisy as you expect with it being on a main road. Right outside a bus stop which only took a couple of minutes to get to and from the train station! Breakfast was nice a simple with plenty of choices. The little contact we had with the staff they were very polite and helpful.

The only thing we didn't like much were the beds, they were 2 beds pushed together and the headboards banging agasint the wall with the slight movements and also weren't very comfortable but they did the job!

Small cozy hotel with responsive stuff. A room has everything for a good rest: fridge, microwave oven, kettle, etc. Inside the fridge, we found two bottles of still water which was a pleasing surprise for us. Within walking distance, the Tesco Express, 15 minutes and you are in the city center with different shops and coffees. Special thanks to a guy who recommended us to use the WB Studio shuttle bus instead of a car and we had a chance to see the city while were walking to the train station.
