Free car parking, tea/coffee facilities, good shower

I was aware that breakfast was not included in the price, but I was not aware that they only did breakfast at week-ends, ''No demand '' I was told. If I was aware of this I would have gone else where.

Our first evening meal(Thai or traditional pub grub) was of a very good standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our Thai choices. As we were finishing our meal an open mic began and, that too was of a very good standard. A complete bonus. We spent a day away from the hotel so can’t comment on that. However, our Sunday morning breakfast was very well presented and of a very high quality, again a very good surprise. We were made to feel very welcome. The location was ideal and the parking easy. We would recommend without hesitation.

The bathroom was perhaps a little tired - shower fitting, that said it worked well and the toiletries provided were very thoughtful.

A comfortable and clean room in a quite residential area. The accomodation is in a building opposite the pub. Plenty of tea and coffee rather than just a few sachets as you get in some places.

Not a dislike but a slight disappointment. We were hoping to go to the pub in the evening but it closes at 9 on Saturdays. It would be helpful to mention this or put a sign in the room as there is one outside the pub during the day but we got back just after 9 and didn't know why it was closed. However, there is another pub (The Dog and Duck) within a 5 Minute walk and another in the opposite direction on the main road. Mattress was very soft but comfortable enough.

The staff were all lovely. Check in was quick and easy. We had a fantastic Thai meal there and a lovely breakfast the next morning. There were 10 of us staying and we all enjoyed the food alot. We watched the rugby on a nice big screen there too. I would have liked non alcohol wine but everyone else was drinking and were perfectly happy. Food and drink pricing was good with some non alcohol beer, cider, gin & vodka options. The shower was fantastic. The bed had a lovely thick mattress but was on a sprung base and was therefore much to soft, because my husband is heavier than me it made the mattress dip alot and I rolled into the middle. If they changed the base to a solid slatted one that would resolve the issue.

We were travelling back from Vancouver on the way back to Cornwall, having been awake for over a day (can’t sleep on a plane), so used the Pub/Hotel as stop over on the way from Heathrow. Half an hour ish from Heathrow, ten minutes from M3, ideal for us to have a good nights sleep. Pub was easy to find, parking available, friendly staff and locals in pub. Room was basic but clean with everything you need,kettle, iron,TV, comfortable bed in quiet surroundings. Vert powerful shower in bathroom, not what you expect in the UK,but certainly woke me up and refreshed me in the morning ! Big bonus was Pub food, Thai and English menu, Red Thai Curry was really good and just right spicing, nice pint or two to help wash it down, wife had the Cottage pie,which was good as she completely finished it without problem, which is high recommendation from her ! Don’t expect the Ritz, but good English small pub standard.

Tiny comment, maybe the room could do with deep clean, some dust and bits in places, but that is really being picky,overall happy with standards and stay.

Group of 8 staying here to go royal ascot. Great location , food was really nice and decent size portions too. We had breakfast and evening meal. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms good size , bed comfy , bedding clean , smart tv in room. Towels and small selection of toiletries provided. Pub was good , great atmosphere with live music on the Friday night. Beer garden to front and rear of property. The accommodation is next to the pub. Don’t be put off by People giving this place bad reviews they clearly want 5* hospitality at 3* prices , absolutely lovely place for a great price

The pub with the separate annex for the rooms was good for reducing the noise.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating.

Nice clean and comfortable room. Food was good in the pub.

Nothing to complain about

What was not to like. It was great. The lady behind the bar was Czech as it turned out and my kid speaks Polish so they chatted it up for a while. Was great. She was super nice and helpful. What really sells the place is the locals coming in. Frequent repeat visitors that know the other patrons and everyone just has a great time. The room was so we could lay our heads and sleep. Everything around it made it great

That we couldn't stay longer and visit with the people running the place. It was great.

So much better vfm than the Premier Inn. Excellent landlord/owner. Quiet room. Lots of free coffee, sugar etc...never had to ask for refill once over 2 nights stay (Premier has enough for one cup). Free bottled water in room. FREE PARKING - Enjoy your fines at the Council car park opposite the Premier. Fantastic shower. Windows you can open. An associated pub next door with great clientele (except for Tara lol). Open mic on Friday eve's.
