Reception good. Very polite, ideal for breaking a long journey Germany - West Wales

The lack of restaurant facilities. All meals apparently served from a neighbouring Gastro Pub and principally the menu reflected the majority of Indian origin. The Grill Room apparently was not open in the evening, breakfast - yes and very good. Payments were made direct for the hotel via the internet, but payment for food and drink could not be put on the room bill and had to be paid by credit card, as presumably this was a separate operation. Food was average as was to be expected being sourced from a Gastro Pub!

Room and bathroom both clean and comfortable and reasonable size. Lady on reception was very friendly and helpful.

The outside of the hotel was best described as a tip! Old carpets, broken furniture, bins on show. Car parks were over grown with several pot holes. Gave the impression of having been vacated for some time. Wasn’t sure if we had arrived at the correct destination!. Internally, whilst our room and bathroom were good and clean the public areas were run down, carpets fraying, metal carpet fittings looked very dirty and old. Doors into rooms were all damaged where I presume fitting were replaced. Lift was out of order and looked like it had been for a while. However, for the price we paid for the night, it was good value.

The rooms beautifully decorated with style and furnishings. In a secluded spot with river running underneath the building and The Poachers Gastro pub attached which serves delicious Indian cuisine in both the hotel and gastro pub…also with a room/takeaway service.

I can honestly say there was nothing I didn’t like, we had a perfect stay.

Reception and bar staff excellent in terms of politeness, helpfulness and customer satisfaction focused. We only had one night, arrived late so not really able to test out full set of amenities, ie evening meal. Very pleased re the ability to book, price, car parking and location

Amazing friendly and helpful staff. Very well kept hotel with superior furnishings and decor that of much more expensive hotels, when you walk in you'd think with what youmpaid you'd got the wrong place, feels very premium.

Absolutely nothing, a great nights sleep in a very nice hotel, I'm staying here again for sure.

Managed to book in on same day as a half way stop bk to Cornwall. Great friendly staff. Great size room for money. Comfortable bed.

The whole place smelt of cigarettes, thought it might just be reception but after keeping our window open all night I could still smell it throughout the night and morning in our room too.

The location . Fresh and clean very good reception staff.

Breakfast was very pricey as my husband and I have a small light Breakfast. Around the hotel area was really dirty and looked like a fly tip. Didn't know if you offered rooms on disabled ground floors. As our room was on 3rd floor

The reception and bar area were exceptional, along with all the staff interactions. The bedroom was a little tired and dated although perfectly functional.

I would have preferred a proper double bed rather than two singles pushed together.

Room was very clean and had all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was lovely and very well run. Reception team were very informative in the evening and the morning.

Decor was a little bit worn in terms of paint but it didn't detract from our experience

Location and price

No net curtains or blinds at window facing towards main entrance and car park. Only one mug provided in the room on arrival and it seemed to take several minutes for reception to track down a cup.
