we came grom liverpool as a family to move our daughter to reading uni, it was an absolute perfect location 9 minute walk away from my daughters halls of residence, the hotel was spotless and the staff couldn't have been more helpful! either way out of the hotel a 6 min walk was food establishments so we where well fed! we couldn't have asked for a better hotel in a perfect location! room was spot on for 4 people double bed for me and wife and both daughter had a single bed each! none of the rubbish pull out beds you get at high end hotels or couch beds! we really enjoyed our 2 night stay and will be back when visiting our daughter for the next 4 years! highly recommended to all parents who have children at Reading uni! 👏

1. Well we was on the 2nd floor and the heat was on another level yes I know heat rises but it was sweltering, good point though there was a big fan on the wall that circulated through our room but it was still too warm in there, room 302 needs the right hand side window looking at as it does not stay open[old style sash slide up windows] nothing a deodorant bottle didn't fix lol.. 2. we asked the night staff for a iron and board to borrow and it never arrived at room I had to ask again in the morning but was given straight away. other than these it was perfect!

The Staff were very welcoming, friendly and super helpful. The Room was clean, fresh, modern and really well equipped: double bed, TV, wardrobe with hangers, fan, safe for valuables, fridge & freezer, microwave, plates, cutlery, kettle, cups, hairdryer, desk, chair. Great value for money. They also have an ice machine in the lobby. Located in an idyllic conservation area, the hotel was easy to get to from the Station via public transport and location was great for getting to and from work. There is also a carpark. There are lots of options for food and small supermarkets nearby. Looking forward to staying again in future!

As there were 3 of us staying we were upgraded to the club room for no extra cost , this was unexpected and a lovely gesture from the hotel lady at reception. the room was superb. Well stocked kitchenette and bathroom. good sized room, comfy beds, quiet. good hot showers with great water pressure. Lots of on site parking which was a real bonus. well located for access to the town , food sources and motorways.The reception team were very friendly and a male team member very kindly carried our luggage and showed us to our room.

The two doors into the building closed in the wind, there were no door handles on to pull them open. we were able to access the building after finding another door entrance.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The tv and hair dryer were both working but were fixed after I reported the problems. The room was very well equipped - more so than expected (cooker, microwave and large fridge along with saucepans etc). The room was warm and comfortable with plenty of storage space. Breakfast was excellent with the choice of continental or cooked. We really appreciated the home made yogurt and the coffee was good. There was a very friendly and fully attentive member of staff looking after everyone in the dining room. It was reasonably priced. We would definitely stay again.

The only thing that we didn’t appreciate was the cleaner knocking on our door well before check out time to ask when we were leaving. It felt a little inappropriate. But this was a small matter.

Location was good and ample parking. And lovely helpful staff Found fact had fridge and microwave in was amazing but didn't know if this was advertised as would have brought more food/drink ( but I may have not noticed) but deffo should be a key feature you promote in pictures etc. Price was great and very competitive and size of the family room was huge (three beds one double and 2 single)

Main issue was heating was on felt like all night and I'm a cold person always freezing and I woke up few times too hot even though wasn't a warm day so understand why this may been on should have the option to turn off or turn the towel rail in bathroom off Which was boiling . ( Fan didnt seem to cool us down either) Was rather dated in areas but doesn't effect the stay at all but imagine would cost a lot to do as so many rooms .

The girls on reception were lovely. The young man with blonde curly hair was also great. Exceptional service and welcome. Beds were comfy and facilities were really practical and helpful.

Young man working late on Monday evening (1030pm), when I told him I was blocking in cars because there was no room to park but to come and let me know if someone needed out. He offered to give me a space round the corner at a different building. When I said I wouldn't be parking away from the hotel, as a woman on my own at night in a town I do not know, he laughed. Thankfully the young girl on reception agreed with me that she wouldn't be doing that either but it felt extremely rude being laughed at.

Every member of staff I spoke to was so friendly and happy to help. The rooms although a very small single was comfortable and practical, I actually had the best sleep I'd had in ages. I enjoyed the walk into the centre of Reading and it was in a quiet and calm area. There was a microwave, kettle and fridge in the room which I didn't need as it was a short stay but was impressed by. The room I was staying in was clean and modern.

The rooms were very hot, however the fan in the room meant it was manageable.

Traveling from Yorkshire on a budget to meet my teenage son, I had a warm welcome on check in and was offered a more spacious room with two comfortable beds PLUS … Two opening windows … Microwave, so my son was able to heat a ready meal at 9pm after arriving by train from Wales … and a Fridge! The free parking in this central location was essential for me, and for under £40 this is a rare occasion when all my expectations were met and exceeded. Thank you.

The peach coloured bathroom suite was clean and well maintained, so my initial impression of dated facilities was proved unfounded.

The price was definitely welcome as were the staff from the minute we arrived they were extremely pleasant, to the extent of offering to take a photograph when we were all dressed up and ready to go out. The accommodation was well equipped while at the same time being basic. The kitchenette had fridge microwave crockery etc which is more than you would normally be provided with. It wasn’t palacios but had everything you need for a short stay and at £38.50 a night what more could you want.

Unfortunately the bed was a little bit small as was the bathroom.

Amazing value for money. Huge free car park, very comfortable beds, fantastic hot, powerful shower, room came with tea & coffee making facilities and a fridge and microwave! Staff were extremely helpful, amenable to our needs and friendly. Would definitely recommend as a comfortable place to rest your head.

Nothing for our needs. Room was small but still had a desk and wardrobe, TV, fridge, kettle and microwave. May be small for a longer stay but it was more than adequate for a place to sleep!
