It was clean and airy and really fun and not outdated. Located in the middle of the city and was quiet. Shower was great and the pressure beautiful!!!!

I noticed a lot of dust under the bed as I dropped an earring and had to look under the bed to retrieve it. Also it was a wooden floor in my room and missed the presence of a rug. Given its wooden doors the bed was “mobile” at times if not careful. There is quite a big potential that you could easily miss the bed if you don’t sit on it carefully.

Excellent staff and very hard working cleaning team who ensured the room was in immaculate condition. Super comfy bed. Lovely room. Very bright and white bathroom suite which has a lovely feel, along with freshly folded towels. Nice.

A little tight for space but that is throughout most accommodation in the area. Still, a lovely nicely decorated space.

Great location of hotel with helpful staff. Near town centre but still quiet. Hotel has been refurbished & is modern, clean & understated. Room was big & packed with facilities. Very comfortable bed too.

The bed and the room were very comfortable and everything very clean. The location is great and the restaurant excellent!

There is no elevator, a slight minus when travelling with baggage

My booking was for a single room, with a TV that was not mounted too high on the wall, so I was given a room on the first floor, which had an older flat screen tv on a bracket(not connected at all, but sadly not removed from the room) and a large Freeview Tv on the desk on its feet, which gave full channels including Dave and Quest. The hotel provides fresh towels and top's up the coffee, tea and little pots of milk daily, plus there is a kettle in the room. Breakfast is now been served, on the ground floor, in the dining room, which doubles as the Indian Restaurant in the evening.

The room was quite compact, and had a traditional window which opened for ventilation and cooling (and a fan which was essential, in the hot 2022 summer), but some rooms in the hotel have air conditioning. The shower in the en-suite shower room, seemed to date from the 1970's and the control was difficult to turn, see photo. There is no lift in the hotel! At Breakfast, some guests in some rooms commented that the TVs in their room had reception issues and some channels were missing.

New refurbished building. Everything was clean and it smelled nice. The location is excellent, very central and 5 minutes away from station

There are no lifts. The duvet was too warm.

The properties location was great for city centre and Reading Festival (a 5 minute walk to the festival buses). The room was clean and well presented. The bed was comfy, having AC was a fantastic bonus and the bathroom was huge. The car parking facilities were great, although somewhat expensive. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, they could not do enough for you!

We had to change rooms as ours was not turned over nearly two hours after check in time, this was resolved really quickly though! Our second room although great, did have quite a sizeable hole in the bathroom floor that was quite dangerous, we had to cover it to avoid getting a foot stuck, but we’d read past reviews and expected this. The bath drain was also clogged, but we didn’t report this, just something that could be done after we’re gone. The last thing, we were staying directly above reception and the music they play from early and throughout the day is just a touch too loud.

The room was a decent size though rather oddly shaped. The bed as stated is a queen so some will find small. The bathroom was huge. And had a bath with a shower.the water pressure was amazing. Not all rooms have ac so if this is important make sure you ask for aroom that hass it. The breakfast was fine. Croissants and choices of bread. Coffee from a macine and fruit juice.

Windy corridors and no lift would have made it very difficult iifwe had had more luggage.

Friendly and helpful staff - provided me with a bigger room which was pretty and cosy. The hotel has character and nice theme with some beautiful decor. Excellent location.

Expected more choice at breakfast. Vegan options, cooked food. No plant based milk in the room. Couple old little stains on the duvet cover - like burns or something like that.

The location is very central, very good, excellent bed, satisfactory cleanliness, welcoming staff.

I didn't like that the breakfast was takeaway, even though all the covid restrictions were removed a long time ago. Then I didn't like the smell in the room, a strong and strange smell of spices, it smelled like a kitchen. A hair dryer would be needed.
