Location was perfect, very central to train station, buses, shops etc. Felt secure. Our room was to the back of the building so we had no street noise issues as some previous reviews have mentioned. I would happily stay here again if back in Reading.

Having made the booking at late notice only the day before our stay the confirmation email received stated that a valid ID (Passport or UK Driving Licence only) is required before proceeding with the booking. As in my sister's case not everyone has either of these documents and although they did "allow the stay on this occasion" it was quite stressful considering the time frame and whether we would have to find another apartment. It is the first time in all my years with Booking.com that I have come accross this.

Great location, good sized property, access instructions were very clear

Property was advertised as having aircon, this is why we picked it - we visited in the middle of the heatwave, no AC on so the flat was around 35 degrees when we first arrived. The AC limited the lowest temperature available (19) but the flat never actually reached this point. The lowest it managed to get down to was 23 and that was overnight, not ideal for when you’re trying to work from there during the day

Everything! Easy check in, its location is central, and it is very clean. There is a fan for the summer and everything is provided: snacks, coffee ans tea kitchenware, bath soaps and shampoo, an iron, a hand vaccuum cleaner, a heated towel rack, bin liners, washing machine, liquid soup and sponge, and dishwasher tablets in case you want to use; very well thought through. Thank you really. I will definitely come again.

The curtains let too much light in; makes it difficult to sleep after sunrise.

I recently stayed at City Wall House for more than 3 weeks and had a very good experience. This service apartment is perfectly located right in the town center, making it incredibly convenient for accessing all amenities. One of the highlights for long-term stays is the weekly cleaning service. It ensured that the apartment remained neat and tidy, which was a great relief and added to the overall convenience and comfort. While the location is fantastic, it's worth noting that there can be some noise during the weekends due to the central location. However, this is a small trade-off for being so close to all the town center's attractions and conveniences. Overall, City Wall House is an excellent choice for anyone looking to stay in the town center with easy access to all amenities. I would highly recommend it for both short and long-term stays.

Long story short : There is a restaurant named house of flavors which provides discount to people who stay at HoF. I was denied the discount , below is the excerpt of email I sent to the restaurant management and hotel : I asked the gentlemen at reception of House of Flavors for the discount as I was staying at HOF (As per mail from Reservation i should have a 15% discount) but was asked to prove my stay with some "card". I was informed that House of Fisher did not provide any sort of access/discount card. The untrusting gentleman asked how do I get into the apartment? -Next, I was informed through PIN and keys and clearly stated my check-in date. But he was not convinced and denied any discount.

I really enjoyed my stay in House of Fisher - City Wall House. It was clean and comfortable. There was a welcome pack with healthy cereals for breakfast, some pretzels, biscuits, water, tea and coffee, which was really nice. The kitchen had everything you need in order to prepare and serve food. My room wasn't on the street and was quite. The bed was comfortable with 2 different sizes of pillows you could choose from. The location is perfect, 1 min from the main pedestrian shopping street. Downstairs there is a well stocked supermarket. I also received an email with information about the refund of the deposit a few hours after I checked out and received the money in a few days.

There was no stand for shower gel and shampoo in the shower.

The location is great, it is clean, the entrance and enrering is safe, the kitchen is well equipped

the shower box is small, the Windows shutters are not enough to keep it dark at 5 am. there should be a way to give the place 8.5 review

Cosy apartment with excellent location at the heart of Reading town centre. Comfortable space with sofas, hangers at convenient positions, and a large wardrobe in the bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a washing machine and dishwasher included. The staff provided us with some goodies and special great discounts to restaurants nearby, as well as with a guide with clear and detailed instructions to appliances and places around one could visit and enjoy.

The bedroom does not get dark, even at night with lights turned off. A blackout could improve it. I wore and recommend wearing a sleeping mask. Also, it was a bit noisy sometimes, especially during the late hours. However nothing that would totally your night of sleep.

Lack of car park, extra costs, no card for doors, so you need a key( card would be easier to keep in the wallet). Noisy from the main street. But it is a central location, so maybe if I get an apartment on the opposite side of the building, then....well next time. Check out 10am, extra hour £16

The room was excellent for the price and the extra touches with milk, cereal etc were fab. The location is excellent, we were day visitors to Reading Festival which was a short 20min walk and there are high street shops, restaurants, fast food, pubs and clubs in very close proximity

Spacious and bright, good view from windows, quiet on the opposite side of street, fancy and stylish furniture, 10 minutes walk from station, 20 meters from Nero's coffee and city center, lively area, one free bottle of milk, free detergents
