Good in general, pleasant staff and easy to find. Fresh linens, a good shower in my room. Offered upgrade while fixing a problem.
Outside appearance needs more attention, especially something for the fish in pond to shelter under. Also, below the top, clean linen, mattress covers were less so.

Secure free car park and secure entry. Felt safe there staff have made efforts to stop any antisocial stuff from happening. Room was clean and had a sink which I did not expect so that was a bonus. Decent heating and there was no noise.
Lot of doors on the stairways, which are a bit heavy and awkward - are they all needed maybe remove some of them? Otherwise fine no issues.

I arrived way earlier than expected and really didn’t know what to do - I was welcomed in regardless and the gentleman who served me (I think possibly the owner or manager) was so helpful and I was able to get into my room anyway. The rooms are basic but definitely very comfortable and stocked for tea and coffee making.
There was some minor aesthetic damage to the walls in the room - nothing too serious but could just use a touch up. Regardless this wouldn’t stop me recommending the hotel.
