the hotel staff were very accommodating (as we had our dog with us) the room was a lovely size and we had no trouble in finding a place to put the dog bed, their was plenty of wardrobe space and places to put your cloths, the full English breakfast was lovely and the staff were all friendly and polite.

I found the bed uncomfortable (we have memory foam mattress at home) and there was a group of guests that came in late and was very noisy when they were going to their rooms as they kept banging the doors and talking loudly.(but that is not the hotels fault)

first of all the staff were all so friendly and helpful we really could not fault them, the cooked breakfast was lovely and cooked perfectly. the room was lovely and large which was perfect since we had our dog with us so there was plenty of space for his bed to go. the bedding and towels ware nice and clean. the bathroom was a nice size and the sink was a good size with room around it to put all our stuff (toothbrushes contact lense cleaner and the usual bits and bobs)

it was a shame that they did not serve evening meals at the weekends which meant we had to search for takeaways or other places to eat. there was no toilet brush in the bathroom and the fan in the bathroom was very noisy. I thought that there was not enough milk and teabags (4 milk pods which is only 2 cups of tea each) but I did ask at reception if I could have some more and the person on reception did not hesitate to give me some more milk and tea bags as I said before the staff really were very friendly and helpful.

The staff are fantastic and not in your face, the breakfast is amazing, the poached eggs are the best I've ever had, a great portion of baked beans, no silly ramekin in site. Our 2 dogs are always welcome. We have spent at least 9 days in total here this month, split between 2 visits. This is close to town, close th Prospect Park to walk our dogs and close to my family. I will be booking in again when we have to come to Reading for family occasions. Thank you to the staff.

There is nothing to dislike.

The place is wonderful, the staff are lovely. The breakfast was fantastic, the poach egg was perfect, the fried mushrooms were done properly. The tomatoes were not out of a can. The baked beans were a proper portion, no silly ramekins insite. The place is located to where I needed to be, we extended our stay for 2 extra nights.

Nothing at all. It was perfect for our needs and we will be back next month for a family funeral.

Breakfast was fantastic, I only had bacon, eggs, toast but it was cooked to perfection and was good quality.

Notification before arrival that check in was next door. This may have been communicated but I don't remember reading it.

We booked The Lawn Hotel but actually stayed next in the hotel next door Parkside International that I have stayed in a few years ago. It was clean and smart and the front desk team were lovely and helpful. It was a hot, muggy day in Reading and a chap on the front desk found us a fan which made us much more comfortable. Thank you..

In the morning I asked my Mum to get us a table in the restaurant. She was given menus with prices on she was told we had to pay for breakfast. I understood that I had paid for Bed and Breakfast in the price but rather than make a fuss we left. In hindsight of course, I should have shown my booking confirmation to the restaurant staff.

The lady on reception was very polite and efficient, the gentleman who served us breakfast was very polite nothing too much trouble, good basic breakfast The hotel was very good value for money, close to city centre 40 minute walk, plenty of parking

Nice sized room, close to the bus stop into centre. Very quiet, lovely breakfast next door at the parkside. Would definately stay again.

Tv would be better on the wall. To plug the bed side lamp in had to stretch the lead across the room.

Booking in and out. Breakfast. Clean, tidy, modern building. Location. Cost.

Finding the hotel. Parking. The usual bath and basin plug problems in bathroom. No adequate places for suitcases to park and open (there was no need for the large round table or the fan in the bedroom). No firm edge to mattress.

Great location with free parking. We walked to Reading festival and back but could have also got buses there. Room was good and bed was very comfortable. Lots of towels, toiletries, coffee and tea bags which was great. Breakfast was fantastic, just what we needed after the festival!

Shower door needed repairing and shower head needed cleaning. A few cobwebs by the windows too. Only had one teacup and spoon in the room.
