Clean , reasonable room at reasonable cost.

In the bathroom sink was shallow , only a few inches deep. Could not turn on the hot tap lever above sink fully as liquid soaps positioned to limit its use to a trickle . Unable to use extending hinged shaving mirror as fixing screws unable to secure it in one position to shave . Had afternoon tea which was excellent value for money . Had evening meal where food was overpriced especially the Balsamic & thyme shallot tarte tatin which was priced at £19 & was 85% mixed salad leaves ! Very plain desserts starting at £8.50 , nothing really exciting , nothing out of the ordinary & poor value for money .

Great location, comfortable room, leisure facilities, nice food, abundant parking. The new spa lounging area is lovely and a great addition. Very nice friendly staff.

I have stayed a number of times over many years and this time I was surprised and did not like the fact that food purchased in the bar is now the same price, same menu as the main restaurant with waiter service. It is fairly expensive and whereas previously one could purchase a meal from the cheaper bar menu this is no longer an option. It must be therefore rather expensive say for families. I think they should be separate as this would be more fair. Also the seating around the pool is sparse. The four loungers available are very uncomfortable and in need of a good clean. Also the patio area outside the restaurant is looking rather unloved and needs some attention.

The room was comfortable. The bed was excellent and other facilities described in the listing were good. The pool and hot tub were very good which really lifted the hotel above an average place to stay. The spa and gym also looked good, though we didn't use them. Breakfast was a buffet affair. We arrived towards the end of the service and due to the number of people still arriving the staff were struggling to keep things going (I don't think they were taking close notice of which rooms had yet to arrive) but the food was good. If we have cause to come back to the area (I hope so) then we will book again.

Loved loved loved the location! I had low expectations as I always stay in small boutique hotels. This is my first big chain hotel stay and it was fabulous. The room was large, clean and tidy, plus it had a balcony overlooking the green with lots of trees. Stunning view! The staff, wow your staff deserve recognition. They are lovely, friendly and helpful, really lovely. The food, we loved it and it exceeded my expectations by a mile! Your kitchen staff are really very very good! I would say it’s even better than some posh restaurants we’ve been to. Honestly, super duper compliments to you all! We will return soon. Love, Gail & her bestie Beverley xox

The mattresses have seen lots of action I think😉, in need of replacing with perhaps superior memory foam instead? I believe the mattresses are due to be replaced soon so that is good news indeed.

Several types of cereal with a choice of different milk , plus loads of fruit & yogurt. Cooked breakfast was outstanding, all self service & hot.the bacon was some of the best we have had in many years , there are also some breakfast specials to order as well at a nominal charge. Evening meal is a large menu with absolutely something for everyone, it’s not fast food, it’s fine dining & beautifully presented. Our room was very clean with a comfy bed, kettle & choice of tea’s & coffee, we also had a fridge & good tv, we also had a small balcony with terrific views over golf course. The room is warm & you control the heating.The staff are really good & it shows that they have been trained well.

Breakfast was excellent, the spa facilities and staff very helpful, our room with balcony was excellent.

Often the reception desk wasn’t staffed. Someone was waiting 10 minutes to check in. Unacceptable. Especially as there were plenty of staff in other areas. Two lifeguards at the pool every day? One would be sufficient. Our safe batteries had been removed and it took 3 days for them to fix it. The table on our balcony was broken. Eventually they took it away but didn’t replace it so we didn’t have on on our last night. I therefore think the maintenance staff were not customer focused.

Lovely resort with friendly helpful staff. Really enjoyed the food and the breakfast. Stayed for 2 nights. Comfortable bed, and nice room with a view over the resort. Nice touch was the small fridge in the room 🙂. The pool and spa were enjoyable too.

The room was very hot with no AC. We had to sleep with the balcony doors open. Although the room had a fan, it didn’t work well and was very squeaky so it had to be turned off. It’s a small thing, but not when you’re trying to sleep.

We liked that breakfast was included. Having the option for room service was also appreciated. I liked that I was able to book a massage and Emily, the therapist was so kind. We liked that we can opt to book for dinner at Waterside and they had a kids menu. Servings were more than enough too. We liked how we were served by a young lad (we did not get to ask his name), who was very accommodating to our orders and requests. Having an iron and an ironing board was good because we were able to have ironed clothes for an event. Overall, we had a good stay.

We actually thought every room had a fridge but ours did not. It was a shame because we needed it for our child's milk and sometimes food. The bathroom sink was also just slowly draining so there would be almost a full sink as we brushed and washed. There was a day that we asked to have our room cleaned and when we came back, it was clean but upon checking, the teaspoon we used for hot chocolate the other night was not replaced and was put back on the tea and coffee tray. We knew because it still had the chocolate mark on the body.

As we have coeliac in the family, we were dubious about the practice of placing pastries above open fruit bowls on the breakfast bar. Could be a risk of contamination.

Paid for "superior double" because no cheaper rooms available through Booking.com on our dates. However, room was spacious and with a balcony and lovely view over golf course. Good breakfast. Did not eat dinner at hotel as too expensive for us. Quiet carpeted corridors. Generally - at least for our stay - a quiet and relaxing place.

The lighting in the room was not good enough to sit and read in the seating area. Also the chairs were uncomfortable for sitting in to read or watch tv. They had to be moved round to face the TV. That part of the bedroom let it down. For reading in bed there were good spotlights on flexible arms but they could only be used if the wall lamps above them were switched on.
