Super close to the airport but not TOO close to the airport. No outdoor noise when windows were closed. kitchen was well appointed and they were quick to bring up items if needed. Bathroom set up was good (yay no barn door.) AC worked well.

Cruise Ships and Tour Groups are priority number one. The loading area for the buses/Motor coaches were parked idling RIGHT UNDER our balcony (also very close to the restaurant patio.) If you have coaches, have them idle at the end, and bring them up to the front when ready, or turn them off until ready. The diesel smell and noise was not pleasant when trying to have fresh air or dine outside.

We had traveled to Fairbanks to see the Aurora (and saw it). Traveling with a group of 4 and booked for 4 nights at Sophie Station. We chose two the double queen suites. It was very comfortable. A stocked kitchen (full size appliances) and a living room. This extra space was so nice not to be crowded. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Most of tour companies will pick up and drop off at Sophies which was wonderful. We did rent a car. Fairbanks is very drivable. There is a large store within walking distance for things you may need. Sophie's is a good choice at a reasonable price. Recommend.

There was a time i had asked a question of the front desk clerk recommendation of area restaurants. Normal question to ask a front desk, right? She recommend the hotel restaurant, which wasn't open at the time, and said she didn't eat out. No listing, no suggestions, no smile! Maybe not a good position for this person in my opinion. On a brighter note, we found the night staff very pleasant and helpful.

Helpful front desk staff who allowed us to check in early since a room was available when we arrived (we always really appreciate that). Friendly service in the restaurant, though the food was not great. Loved having the full kitchen in the room so we could walk to one of the two nearby grocery stores and cook food. Also really liked the free airport shuttle so we didn't have to worry about transport.

Rooms could definitely use some updating, especially the carpet and mattresses. But overall it was fine. We had a pretty loud group in the next-door room, which was annoying one evening as they yelled up and down the hallways, but that's not the hotel's fault. Sound definitely carries, so if you're a light sleeper, ask for a quiet room.

Our room was really more apartment sized. A whole kitchen, sitting area, separate bedroom, huge closet! The restaurant in the hotel was great, the sweet cream pancakes and hot chocolate hit the spot while we were waiting for our room. Appreciated the airport shuttle.

It didn’t seem like any things to see or do in walking distance. We had different experiences with the staff at the front desk, one not very nice, and one was super helpful and friendly.

Location, Friendly staff, The room is large and quite. Kitchen was well stocked and even had salt and pepper. Restaurant in hotel had excellent food and prices. easy access to most stores and places in Fairbanks.

My wife found the bed a little to firm but otherwise she liked it, The decor of the rooms and the entire hotel is "nostalgic" but it was clean and not worn out.

Although the hotel was a bit dated, it was very clean and had everything I needed. It’s also one of the several hotels the tour guides would come pick you up for tours. Safeway is 2 buildings away, so it was convenient for me to just walk over to pick up water, snacks, etc. I appreciated the free shuttle pick up and drop off.

The location is great. The rooms are spacious. The staff is friendly. There is a printer available to use for guests. It is comfortable and meets my traveling needs for work and leisure.

I don’t like how the bathroom door closes/locks. The sink is on the outside and I can’t help but think how dirty hands need to maneuver the door lock to open the sliding door.

The suites were spacious and clean. The bar and restaurant were very good the first night but overwhelmed on second night.

Because we were there after Sep 15th the restaurant did not serve breakfast and were very understaffed for dinner. The decor is getting old and needs to be updated and brightened.

Appreciated your knowledgeable, helpful staff. Unfortunately I do not remember the name of your very helpful, considerate front desk person but so appreciated her patience and friendly attitude to an older woman.

We ordered a traditional breakfast from the menu, since the buffet was not available on the morning we were there. It was tasty, and the staff was very friendly.

One of the dryers accepted my laundry token, but the dryer didn’t start when I pressed the button. As a result, I combined two loads of clothes into one dryer, and then I put all the clothes through two dryer cycles. I later reported the issue to the front desk.
