We loved the historic architecture and decoration of the facility. A friend and I met there, and booked a suite. We brought with us 20 years of cards and letters that we had accumulated. We used the living space in the suite to re-read all of them, keeping only a few cherished ones. We placed a small box of the treasures on top of a large bag of correspondence to discard. On checkout, the staff offered to discard that bag--it was not until I arrived home, that I realized the small box had inadvertently been included! I called Hassayampa, and Dillon went to the dumpster, and recovered that box and sent it back to us. We are very grateful! All the staff there were genuinely friendly and helpful.

I have not one word of complaint

From the moment I arrived at the historic Hassayampa Inn, I felt like I’d stepped into a beautifully preserved piece of Arizona history. The exterior is stunning—charming brick architecture, patriotic decor, and glowing lights that set the tone for a warm and welcoming stay. My room was cozy, clean, and full of vintage character. The decor perfectly balances old-world elegance with modern comfort—plush pillows, a comfy bed, and charming furnishings made it feel like home. Every detail, from the antique-style dresser to the classic light fixtures, added to the inn’s unique charm. The staff was friendly and attentive, and you can feel the pride they take in keeping this historic treasure alive and thriving. The location is ideal—just a short stroll from downtown Prescott and Whiskey Row, with plenty to explore nearby. Whether you’re here for a romantic getaway or just a relaxing escape, the Hassayampa Inn is a true Prescott treasure that I’d return to again and again!

All positive

The staff is very friendly and helpful. As a historic property it was beautiful, the lobby had a lot of charm +was clean and inviting. The rooms are (as one might expect for a historic property a little small and perhaps a bit outdated) clean and comfortable. The elevator is from the original timeframe of when the property was built so you have to have an employee run it for you which is fine when there's more than one person at the front desk, otherwise you will have to wait. Since we have no mobility concerns and were only on the 4th floor, it wasn't so cumbersome to take our carry-on bags down the stairs to check out.

The windows didn't open and there's a slight musty smell in the carpet.

This property is a great value for money. Great location; 2 minute walk to the Whiskey Row and restaurants. Love the history and how well it’s maintained. Plenty of street parking available as well as a dedicated parking across the street. Room is pristine and bed is comfortable. The bathroom is a little small but didn’t not bother me. What makes this property a stand out is their staff, from the front desk to the crew at their bar and restaurant, they are all so friendly and accomodating and treated our pet like their own. Handing out treats and providing water bowl when needed.

Location, location, location. It was like taking a taking a trip back in time. Very quaint hotels. Loved the old-fashioned elevator. The staff granted all of my requests. They should be recognized. Men & women reward these people because they deserve all the credit for a thanks job. Remember, you are only good because of your staff. I was in law enforcement for 33 yrs. I was an Exective Lieutenant in charge of Sergeants & officers for three shifts. Total personnel over two hundred. Always be engaged with your staff.

Not enough electrical outlets & no safe.

A little piece of Southwestern History! Beautiful building in a beautiful & characterful town. Loved the Hotel from an architectural (and historical perspective), staff could not have been friendlier and prouder of the astonishing building. Great Lounge Bar (arrived just in time for Happy Hour & a local musician for background music) & the Bar Staff really do know their way around a cocktail shaker. Wonderful old elevator and the whole building just screams 'heritage'...but do be aware that as a heritage property, rooms can be small (and bathrooms can be very small!). If visit with your expectations set to the 1920's, then you won't be disappointed. The rooms ooze character, but it's character from a bygone age. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, loved the building, the history and the staff, could have done with a little bit more space in the bathroom!

Nothing inasmuch as this is a Heritage Hotel - what you get is a deep dive into a bit of American history, just don't go expecting the bedrooms to match more modern hotel rooms/suites in terms of technology or size. Embrace the history and all will be well!

The location of the hotel is excellent. Just a few minutes to the square, as well as all the shops and bars on whiskey row. All of the staff are very friendly and try to assist you if you need it. I really love the history of this hotel. It will be 100 years old in 3 more years.

We decided to due room service from the restaurant. Which unfortunately was up to the standards I'm use to from eating here in the past. The food was bland and some was salty no real flavor like I've remember from the past. There are a few areas that need some refreshing, such as the banister needs to be painted and some of the painted wall paper is starting to peel.

I loved the antique furniture throughout the hotel. The hotel was clean (except the stair banister) and had a pleasant smell. Taking a ride in the oldest working elevator was an exciting experience. Outdoor cocktails and live band was a bonus. The location of the hotel was the cherry on top! Within walking distance of everything I wanted to see.

The shower and toilet space was a little bit too small for my tall legs, but I made it work.

The staff is lovely. They make one feel as if they are entering another era when people still had manners. The hotel is different from a run-of-the-mill hotel. It's a very convenient location, the walkability is great. Floors are creaky, but hey, I'd be creaky at 97 years old too.

Maybe charge a little less for the lattes. Be the one destination on the block that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for java. :)

Location is great. Just a short 2 blocks from Whiskey Row. Staff was great, very nice people. Historical/architecture was beautiful. Nice linens.

Pillows were terrible. Cramped space in the room. Lots of stairs, an elevator available but must be operated by staff. Room still had dog kibble on the carpet from previous tenant and baseboards in the bathroom could use a good scrub.
