It’s very convenient to the freeway, the restaurants and market across the street are very accessible. This is important because we come and stay there when we are competing at the Horse Park in Del Mar. I had a very bad experience there a few years ago but out of convenience, I decided to give it another try. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Something I had had trouble with previously.

I forgot to ask for a first floor room and actually the second floor was OK but because we’re traveling with a lot of writing equipment it’s just hard to go up and down the stairs and our room was the absolute furthest possible point from the elevator.

The motel was great value for money and the location was super central. Probably the best value for a motel in this price range. Ended up also extending my stay a couple of nights and came back through town the following week and chose to stay here again. Would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a no frills but good quality motel.

We got some take out one night but had no cutlery so asked the front desk and all they had was plastic cutlery and paper plates. Not a huge worry at all, but would be nice if they offered real cutlery/plates. Note- this is the only constructive feedback I can think of, which shows it's a pretty good place to stay.

The location is excellent. Freeway entrance in either direction (north or south) is half a block away, a mall with a market, restaurant, and gas station is right across the street. Other malls with more stores and restaurants is less than 2 blocks away. And downtown Encinitas is like 3 blocks walking distance. The beach barely a block further. With so many things close, mostly walked and left me car behind (saving alot of expensive gas).

The breakfast, such as it is, is very minimal, but luckily the nearby restaurants make up for it. Carpet and A/C unit needs a bit of updating, and they stand out as obviously past their prime.

room was fine. bathroom was worn but serviceable. When I opened a drawer, a small cockroach ran out. Not a good first impression. Needless to say, my stuff stayed in my bag instead. Price was right, and the little pool was nice. Breakfast was very limited, but at least there were microwaveable breakfast sandwiches.

Would be awesome if there was a hot tub by the pool. More selection for breakfast would be great too.

Clean and quiet. The location is perfect! Close to the beach. Excellent value for the price, considering the location. Friendly staff.

The property has not been updated and is a bit patched and worn. The rooms are small. Breakfast is extremely minimal. Maintenance was somewhat lacking.

The location was perfect, I was there for a wedding and reception and they were both only minutes away from the hotel

I didn't like that I had no choice in my breakfast sack. There was just lunch sacks in a small frig but I didn't know what I was getting so me and my guest were disappointed, I wish we could of chosen. Also the shower in our room didn't work and parking was a nightmare coming in late at night

The location is good. Staff was very nice. It would be nice to have some rooms with 3 beds, but I guess the building is standard The little coffee machine is convenient. Fridge worked well.

The bathtub drains are ridiculous and work very poorly. The shower knob is very hard to close such that it doesn't leak. I am in top shape and had to push it with all my strength. In two rooms (stayed at the same Days Inn for 2 separate days)

Access to area attractions. Had a stoplight at the entrance which helped with the heavy traffic in the area. Room was clean. We were given an accessible room which only had a full bed because the bathroom was so big. Staff was polite and friendly. Moonlight Beach is about a 10 minute walk.

Ice machine was inoperative. We didn’t go for the breakfast so it wasn’t an issue for us. If breakfast is your thing, go elsewhere. Breakfast was a paper bag with 2 small protein bars, a small carton of tepid orange juice(un drinkable) and an individual wrapped iced pastry which was warmish.

Location close to various restaurants, shopping centers, and next to the freeway. Alot of times left the car behind, so really saved on gas since easier to walk than drive.

Thought the amenities (tv, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker) have been updated, the carpeting and A/C / Heating unit has seen better days, kinda dates the room. No laundry room, so had to use laundromat in the shopping center across the street.

Easy walk to beach or into town. Staff was exceptionally friendly—they really made a difference for us! Was great value for the price.

Rooms are pretty standard “old school” motel style and not large, and the property itself is essentially a building on a parking lot (so no pretty grounds to stroll through) but all was clean, comfortable and with newer art and fixtures. If you’re looking for a clean, safe place to sleep after spending the day out and about, this would fit the bill nicely.
