The hotel is placed in Little Tokio - japanese part of the city, close to restaurants and shops with an area safe for walking - as far as we saw. It includes a bakery so eating fresh breakfast was not an issue. Staff is friendly and helpfull (e.g we requested an additional bed which was solved on the spot) Rooms are clean, towels are changed whenever is needed. If you do not wish to use the hotel parking, it can be used the LittleTokio public parking which is in the nearby building (during our stay was 30eur/day)

The payment for our stay was taken twice: blocked when we arrived and taken a second time when we left. I had to make a request to my bank to return one of the payments. Either clarify this from arrival or be sure to have the amount available twice.

The hotel location; the welcoming and very helpful check in staff. My room was cleaned very nice every day and the bottles of water were very welcome. Did not have to go far to a number of restaurants, bakeries, supermarket and gift stores. There is also a cafe, and restaurants on site. The cafe while only having a small selection of food, was very good and again, the staff were very pleasant.

This is not a criticism, just a comment only. It would have been nice to have had breakfast included in the room rate. Similar hotels in close proximity to major cities I stayed in throughout California and Canada this trip all included it in their (comparable price) room rate.

I always stay here when I need to overnight in DTLA after a late night event. It is super clean, quiet, the staff welcoming, has overnight valet parking and a coffee shop on the premises. Little Tokyo is at your doorstep for great eats and the new subway line extension is down the block. A gem.

Overnight parking rates have gone up - somewhat pricey...

The check-in procedure was seamless. The temperature control was convenient. The hotel décor felt modern. The downstairs cafe was surprisingly affordable and great quality in comparison to other hotels' restaurants. Overall, the entire stay felt true to a 3-star hotel experience; it felt as though the staff were offering the best possible experience with the existing hotel facilities.

Some of the light fixtures in the room didn't work. There were very minor stains on some of the beddings. The need to pay for in-room amenities like water bottles seemed to contradict the fact that the downstairs convenience store offered free temperature-controlled water. The wifi connection was hit-or-miss. The need to use the neighboring parking structure when valet parking is full leads to uncertainty when estimating how much parking will cost for the duration of the stay.

It is located right by the Japanese Village plaza about a min walk there. Also right by the Little Tokyo Shopping mall. There is a vending machine there with drinks, with Mac and cheese for kids and cup of noddles! Win for us with kids. Had two microwaves and toiletries you can buy. They have a coffee and pastry shop there that had a full line so I’m sure it was delicious. We got to have parking literally right outside the hotel doors. The room had a great view of the street. It is super clean and comfy. Had a mini fridge, safe and nice bathroom with a bidet. I also loved the safety it has there with valet parking, security inside and you need hotel room key to go up the elevators or use the ground floor bathrooms.

The only down fall is if the parking is full you have to park in the little Tokyo public parking right beside them but it honestly didn’t look bad at all. The extra $50 for valet parking was definitely worth it.

Hotel is very newly renovated, luxurious looking and tucked into a very quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. Hotel is very popular among the Japanese and Asian tourists which makes it very comfortable for us as fellow Asians visiting the city. Hotel is also very well connected to the bus and metro system with the station being just one traffic light away and the bus stop also one traffic light away in the other direction. Staff was also very friendly and they had already prepared all the paper work prior to our arrival allowing us to check in within less than 5 mins, which helped to make it a very seamless experience especially since we were coming from a long day in Disneyland. Rooms were spacious with enough amenities around for use. The air conditioning was strong and comfortable as well.

The hotel has a matcha Cafe available for hotel guests to patronise if they so wish, (however, it seems like the Cafe is only open in the mornings? Tried to come back earlier to probably buy something back to the room at 5 pm but the cafe was already closed by then) So I assume that the Cafe is more of a breakfast thing if you do not wish to pay the USD20+ for the breakfast at the 2nd floor of the hotel. At other times, there is a convenience store available in the hotel (accessible only via room key cards). Variety of items is nothing to be complained about but the prices are on the higher side but I guess that's a last resort if you happen to have some late night cravings and you don't want to go too far from the hotel.

Miyako is our must-stay hotel in downtown LA. The hotel sits right in Little Tokyo (so a good location) and is in walking distance of SO many great downtown LA things to do. The hotel is always clean and neat. And staff is always so friendly and welcoming! Check in is quick and easy as well. There is a bakery/coffee shop Okayama Kobo down in the lobby - it’s amazing and a must every time we stay! There is also a sushi restaurant on the 2nd floor that is just okay. The rooms are nice and big, and the bathrooms (toilets) all have a bidet. There are also many toiletries available in the bathrooms, from mouthwash to wet wipe towels to shoe covers to bar soap. The walls must be pretty thick because we never hear neighbor noise. Although you will prob hear downtown LA noise (noisy cars and sirens!).

I had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Miyako. The shower had a strong, steady water flow, making it incredibly relaxing. The bed and bedding were super cozy, ensuring a great night’s sleep. While the room was a bit dated, it was impeccably clean—kudos to the housekeeping team for their excellent work! The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Japanese Village, with plenty of great dining options nearby. Public parking is available next to the building, requiring a short walk. It costs $30 per day, but reentry incurs an additional $30 charge each time. For more convenience, the hotel offers unlimited reentry valet parking for $50 per day.

The hotel is so clean and it smells amazing. It’s our first to visit LA so we were a little bit stressed and nervous. Once we got to the hotel and entered to the lobby, we felt so relaxing. The parking cost $45 but you can go in and out which is good. The staffs are friendly. They have a store and a bakery. It is good to have some snacks whenever you need and they also prepare the hot water if you want to have a instant noodles. The coffee in the bakery was very good! I had it every day during my stay. I love this hotel and definitely will go back again!

The hotel has a long history, so the pipe is a little bit old, and the water flow in the bathroom was slow. But I didn't feel bothered. Even the hotel is old, it was very clean! I can feel they are doing a lot of effort to keep the hotel clean.

Really good location, with parking available. Loved the lobby with the cafe - great staff and amazing coffee and teas. Very nice front desk group. Felt very safe - lots of staff around and available.

I tried to book a room for a future date, but the hotel for some reason had that weekend blocked off. Then just one very expensive room was available for the time frame. Eventually the hotel released the blocked rooms but by that time I was committed to another hotel.
