My partner and I were blown away by the location and comfort of room 207. If you stay in a room, as a couple, please stay in 207. Its a corner unit, and is spacious, quiet, with a relaxing view. Dallas, the property manager, is a rockstar! There are no early check-ins (we arrived early), or lobby to store bags, but Dallas helped us store our luggage in a unused space, that so we didn't have to keep our luggage in the car at Yosemite. Leland, his son, is awesome, as well. Super friendly, and explained to us that the Inn is a family business. This is very apparent, because there are a lot of small touches that made us feel at home. Unit 207 has an equipped kitchen, fireplace, balcony, and good sized bathroom. The property is within walking distance to all of Mariposa. The hidden gem is a dive bar called THE HIDEOUT! If you like cheap drinks, and aren't weary of the "dive bar" energy, then definitely go here after dinner at Savoury's (chat with Nicole, the bartender), or Mike (the chef). Also, before or after Yosemite, check out the Yosemite Bug for a cheap spa day. And, while in Yosemite, do yourself a favor and grab a cocktail at the Ahwanee Hotel, and sit near their huge fireplaces in the lobby... It's giving goals ;) lastly, def walk across the street to Chocolate Soup, and support the local artisans.

Mariposa is about 70 minutes from The Village in Yosemite, via the 140. Keep that in mind when making plans. The drive along the Merced river is really wonderful, though. Even though it's a quiet mountain town, do not expect low prices when eating out. Prices are comparable to larger cities.

I had a wonderful stay at the 5th Street Inn in Mariposa! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The inn is perfectly located right in the heart of town, so everything was within easy walking distance — shops, restaurants, and local attractions. What really stood out were the rooms: they were absolutely enormous, clean, and very comfortable. It felt more like a spacious suite than a typical hotel room. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Honestly, there wasn’t anything I didn’t like. Everything met or exceeded my expectations. It’s rare to stay somewhere and not have even a small complaint, but 5th Street Inn really delivered. I had a great experience from start to finish.

5th Street Inn is an older style hotel in the centre of Mariposa, just off the main street. My room was clean and gave easy access to the street.

I was informed over the phone when I arrived that my room had been swapped. As I recall I had booked an upstairs room with a balcony, but I was given a larger ground floor room instead. I would have preferred the balcony, but it was not a big deal. As I was travelling alone a larger room was not an advantage. There were no staff on-site during my stay.

The room we had was great. Kitchen, eating table/area, living room, fireplace, 4 post king bed. Really well furnished, very clean.

My only slightly negative feedback is that it our stay was completely done without any human interaction. Door code was sent via text and no one was onsite at check-in or during our stay. It would have been helpful to get some local information we needed (i.e. laundromat, grocery store, restaurants, etc.) and any other local insights.

This hotel is located right in downtown Mariposa, which is a 1 hour drive to Yosemite. The town is small and quaint. The hotel fits right in perfectly. Our room was clean and very comfortable. I appreciate the ability to pull a curtain over the door since there is a window in the door. As someone who is very sensitive to light when I sleep, this was really appreciated. The staff were all super helpful and kind.

I wish there was some way to do laundry on site. The town laundromat closed pretty early and I was never able to get to it. But this was really minor and nit picky. Everything was really great and I am very happy with our stay.

The room was quaint. There were so many really nice touches in the room.It was imaculately clean! The neighborhood is perfect. It is part of the historic town. We would stay there again. The room we had was small. But the vibe was worth having a small room. They have larger rooms, too.

Nothing...and I tend to be picky.

We stayed in a spacious room with two queen beds, a good-sized area with couch/chairs for watching TV, and a half-kitchen: dining table, small refrigerator, toaster. We appreciated being able to eat breakfast in comfortably and to watch sports on TV. All in all, place exceeded our expectations as we underestimated size of "room." Clean, comfortable lodging in a good location, very good for a group of 3-4 staying in one room.

Better than expected! I usually don’t leave reviews, but after staying here I just had to! My family and I have stayed at many properties in Mariposa for our annual Yosemite trip and we all agreed that this was by far the best stay yet! Even though the property is outdated, we still enjoyed the amenities they had to offer! We stayed in the Family Room 208 and we were surprised how large the room actually was! It even has its own private patio! Overall, we will definitely be booking here every time we are in town from now on!

Nothing!

Clean, modern room with all amenities and attention to detail, comfortable bed. Liked nearby restaurants as well, walking distance.

Parking orientation was a bit difficult to figure out due to hillside construction. For no-step access the upper level uses parking lot behind in common with businesses on next street, had to figure out how to get there using next street entrance. Worked ok once oriented. Back gate for upper level should have self-closing feature for guests handling luggage.

The Old Town area in which the inn is located is calm and offers many spots to grab a bite to eat. The room was tidy with most amenities provided.

We checked-in in the evening and I didn’t connect to the inn’s complimentary Wi-Fi until later that night, which all staffers have left for the night. The router wasn’t connected to the Internet so I couldn’t use it.
