The first impression of the property was clean. The koi pond as you walk in is very welcoming. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. Our room (a King) was so nice. The bed was one of the very best I have ever experienced at a hotel. The best thing was the water pressure. I know it sounds like a dumb thing to mention but it was so nice to take that nice shower after driving all day I think it was a definite "selling point" - we had a great stay!

The location of the hotel on the main road, however, I did not encounter any traffic jams and problems with both exit and entry. At the Venetian, the staff serves guests quickly and efficiently, and you have to wait only 2 minutes for special requests to be fulfilled. The room was large and spacious. Breakfast exceeded even my expectations - hot machine making Pancake and delicious coffee.

The room was a bit cold at night, and we could not find a switch to turn on the room heater. At night it was 41 deg F. The entrance from the parking lot to the hotel should be unlocked on the intercom, not on the card, because guests with a lot of luggage have to go around or again a second time to the car, and after the fatigue of a long trip there is not always the desire and time.

Room was spacious, nice and clean. Breakfast was pretty good compared to similar inns we stayed in during our trip. Very close to Monterey downtown and best viewpoints, but also to stores, etc.

The only draw back is that the room was VERY noisy, with heavy traffic from the street (that is pretty close) and also planes landing/taking off very early EACH morning from the airport nearby.

The rooms are not bad, the bed is comfortable, the room has a microwave and a coffee machine. It is convenient that you can take a pet with you, for it there is an additional charge of $ 30, it is worth the money. Nearby is a bowling alley, open until midnight. The staff is pleasant and responsive.

Breakfast was bad, cheap coffee, the same cheap sandwich, apples and oranges, several types of buns, jam and instant porridge. In general, there is no point in going to breakfast, I rate breakfasts no more than 3 on the 5th scale, or even less. In general.

The hotel is right next to a Denny's and a BBQ type resturant. In addition, there is a CVS across the street. Overall, the hotel is your average hotel, but the staff are GREAT!!! The customer services was one of the best I have ever received from a hotel.

The place is a little older and there was no AC in our rooms. However, Monterey rarely gets crazy hot.

I like the fact that my room was spotless and my glass tables did not have any dust or fingerprints on them. The mirror in the bathroom was spotless. The sink was clean and the shower was immaculate.

The breakfast menu was good, but it could’ve been a little better maybe have oatmeal or hot cereal when it’s cold outside

The location was great to explore the area. They have a pool and a hot tub. So even in cold temperatures you can use the hot tub outside. The breakfast had a great variety and was plenty. The room was spacious and quiet. The staff members were very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.

There isn’t much to complain about. If you really want to find something, a heated pool would have been excellent.

The room was large, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was included and satisfactory. The location was excellent for access to Highway 1 to Carmel, Santa Cruz, or Salinas. It was a quiet and pleasant hotel with a pretty koi pond in the lobby.

The bathtub could be used for a shower only. For 3 days the touted "Breakfast Sandwich" was "going to be delivered today." I'm thinking there never is a Breakfast Sandwich! Service for clean towels and room cleanup is apparently no longer provided at all.

Room was great. The staff that we were in contact with was friendly and helpful.

The parking seemed to be crowded and not convenient to room location. If you wanted a good parking spot you would need to have your car in place before 5:00 pm and keep the car in the stall until the next morning. Parking behind the building was dark and hidden. it seems unsafe. It should be patrolled by security.

Everything was clean and staff very friendly. Breakfast was nice not having to leave the hotel. It Heald us over til lunch. room was clean but it did not look like the pictures shown on the web site. It was an L shape room. Hard to watch TV>

To be truthful about the room we got. When advertising this room, show the shape of the room.
