The room was excellent. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the tub was nice and roomy, and the fireplace was a nice additional touch. We enjoyed hearing about the history of the building and could really feel the character, especially when in the common areas. The breakfast was nice, and the additional self-service options available overnight were perfect. I think the brownie is one of the best I've had. They also offer a variety of wine options to order to your room, which we definitely took advantage of. I wouldn't mind coming back when it is a bit warmer to take advantage of their lovely heated pool and outdoor areas.

When we checked in, we signed the "house rules" and saw that there were quiet hours between 8am and 8pm, with a strict 10pm cutoff time to use the in-room tubs. We ended up coming back earlier than I had originally thought when booking the room, so it wasn't an issue, but I would have been disappointed to not be able to use it after returning from a night downtown. These rules are not listed on their website or Booking. The only other sore spot was that we received a text that we could order things to our room via, and when we didn't receive a text back or our order, the woman working the lobby simply said, "Oh, I don't really check those."

Our stay was absolutely exceptional! We stayed in the Majestic Room, which lived up to its name with direct access to the outdoor pool, adding an extra layer of luxury to our experience. The room had a wonderfully romantic atmosphere, complete with a cozy fireplace and a relaxing jacuzzi, making it the perfect setting for a memorable getaway. Every morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast, with a different menu each day that kept things fresh and delightful. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring that all our needs were met. The entire property was spotlessly clean, and we enjoyed peaceful, quiet nights in an extremely comfortable bed. A special touch was the delicious wine we received upon check-in, which made us feel welcomed right from the start. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic and relaxing stay in the Majestic Room!

The property is absolutely gorgeous and so well maintained. I felt like I was on a film set. The rooms are all unique and come with a lot of character. The staff was so helpful and friendly, we felt like we were staying with more friends. The icing on the cake, however, is the chef. We picked this place because it was one of the only B&Bs that included breakfast but what I thought would be a continental option was actually a served, 3 course, Michelin star-level experience. I'm not usually someone to go back to places I've already been (out of principle to experience it all) but I will definitely be staying here again.

The quiet hours were a little difficult to manage as a group of 12 people drinking all day but I understand the need for rules...

Much thanks to our new friend, Dulce, who was not only most helpful, but she was pleasant and kind and generous with her time and attentiveness. We had to leave for a 6 AM flight so we were going to miss breakfast. What Dulce did is pack us breakfast bags with muffins, juices and treats and kept them in the refrigerator for us to pick up and take with us. She did not need to do that and it was something I will not forget. Highly recommend Candlelight Inn. A little old-fashioned but clean and lovely with a fire in the fireplace and cookies and brownies every evening. 10/10.

The pool is heated to 80 degrees! With the beautiful landscape, swimming was such a relaxing pleasure. The linens and towels were high quality and the bed very comfortable; firm and supportive without being hard. The architecture inside is gorgeous and the rooms spacious. Breakfast was delectable and included mimosas. Coffee was tasty and smooth. I am completely looking forward to my return.

The staff, location, the accommodations and its serenity. Sam and Maria were wonderful, friendly, helpful and just lovely people. The chef, who's been there for more than 2 decades, is fabulous. Her meals were delicious. We highly recommend staying here. We took a special afternoon just to relax by the pool because the pool and surroundings were so nice.

Beautiful inn and courteous, friendly staff. 3-course gourmet breakfast and snacks in reception area were included in room price. I loved that there was a gourmet coffee maker in each room, too.

Shower head water pressure needs improvement as it was really weak in my room, and had problems working TV which included a Philips software system.

Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfast and a variety of free amenities were a big plus. The place is very charming and relaxing.

Rooms were comfortable but could do with a refresh, particularly of paints and bedding. Cleanliness of the rooms was okay but could be more thorough (curtains, under the bed…)

Absolutely beautiful gardens and home. Reminded me of my grandparents home built about the same time on the Sacramento River delta town of Clarksburg❤️

Usually hotels have several different bed pillows but our room bed pillows were large, round and hard which made our nights sleep not so great. Finally I slept without pillows. The beds were get and we’ll be back but we’ll bring our own pillows.

Quaint, friendly place with well appointed and spacious rooms. It’s exactly as you see in the photos

Could have done with some thinner pillows, if I was really trying to find a negative when there really aren’t any. Its best to have a car when staying here as it’s a few minutes out of downtown Napa but really not a big deal.
