This is a cute little cottage experience in a great location center of town. I got the hot tub room, it was much bigger than most hotel rooms with a little vineyard right outside the door. The room was spotless and the hot tub worked great. The staff was amazing and very nice. I noticed many bad reviews online - this is a boutique experience, not a 5-star resort. It has old Napa vibes, back when this WAS the only place to get a room in town. The owners did an amazing job keeping it up. It is a roadside getaway, with style. wake up and enjoy a coffee in the little vineyard while you watch the hot air balloons take off. Walk left you hit a Starbucks, walk right you hit a Dutch bro's. The river is right down the way with all the amazing restaurants you can desire and the wine trolly picks up a few blocks away. Or spend 3x for an average room in a nicer building if that is your thing.

I have no complaints :)

I was expecting it to be in gardens and next to the vineyard. It was nothing like that - website pictures gave false impression

For a 2-Star hotel (as mentioned on the websites), this is a very convenient location, with on-site free parking right outside your room. the room itself was great. good size room with bed, lounge area, a jacuzzi and attached bathroom. Overall we didnt expect much from the place, but it was a wonderful surprise. We reached pretty late, and had called ahead about the late check-in; someone was available to assist us and the process was seamless.

Toiletries could be improved, but overall no complaints.

The bed was absolutely the most comfortable lodge/hotel/motel bed I've ever had. Better than Marriot, Hilton, or any other major chain. The sheets, blankets and pillows were comfortable and homey, not super starched and scratchy like other places I've been. I like that the location was near Asian markets and restaurants. It was easy to find, and the staff were amazing. When I didn't arrive when I planned, the staffed called (which I missed) to make sure I was alright (I had prepaid, so there was no other reason to call). When I called back, they knew who I was, and left me the key in a basket so I could get straight to bed (in at 3:00am, conference beginning at 7:00am). When I did check in, the son-in-law of the owner was very friendly in a non schtick kind of way. Very affordable. I paid less for three great and comfortable nights at Chardonnay Lodge than my fellow conference goers did for one night at the conference rate at the resort our conference was held at, and I don't believe they rested any better than I did.

The room was clean, but to nitpick and not make this review seem ingenuously optimistic, the bathtub had one longish hair by the drain, and the upper edge of the tile, just at eye level of the shower was a pretty dusty.

Every staff member we encountered were very helpful, polite, genuinely nice. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable. I slept better than I had in days. The décor was pleasant. There are lovely plants everywhere and they are very well taken care of.

This property is not a "lodge". Webster describes a "Lodge" as "a house set apart for a residence in a special season or by an employee on an estate." Chardonnay "Lodge" is a standard motel. I was disappointed in Bookings description of the facility. My husband and I were both surprised as we drove into the driveway of this "motel-like" facility. However, we were quite pleased when we registered because the employees at the front desk were extremely pleasant and welcoming. I think $207 for one night is not warranted. The room was comfortable and clean, but not a $200 room.

Double queen room was great, more spacious than i expected so that was a plus.

Walls were a bit thin so you could hear your neighbors arriving and in their rooms as well. Bathtub in my room was somewhat clogged so it got full while i took a shower which was a bit gross.

Its a beautiful Tuscany styhotel. Has beautiful garden areas with seating and pillows. Very quaint. Woman who owns it is very nice. Place is clean. They even provide a nice linen robe

Road a little noisy next to hotel. Had window open and a few times heard cars blowing by hotel during the night

Very nice remodel. Clerk at check in was very friendly. I went back and requested another pillow. She went to get it and told me she would bring it to the room. She came back with 2 because she didn't know if I would want down pillow or not so she brought both.

We were in room 21, a king with jacuzzi tub. Door opened to the street so it was a little loud.

The room was very clean and big we enjoyed it even though this place is across the street from the Highschool you don't hear any noise. It was very comfortable.

This is not only for this place it is for every place I have stayed in they never give enough towels.

Lovely grounds, very clean rooms, well lit with comfortable bed. Boutique feel to the rooms, plenty of parking. Easy 30 minutes walk to Wine Train.

Some instructions on how to use the bath/shower taps would have been appreciated!
