We had a wonderful one night stay in a Zen garden suite, which had a private entrance from a walkway near the main house. The bed was so comfy and faced the fireplace and TV. We loved the luxurious bathroom and having our own small zen garden! The setting is beautifully landscaped and very serene. Breakfast was served buffet style in the main house dining area. Not lavish, but plentry of tasty offerings and good coffee.

GH is a wonderful place to detox and relax, and Glen Ellen is a picturesque and quiet place to recharge. The staff were very friendly and touches like the wine hour were nice. The pool is really nice and open late, the vibe is very easygoing and the suite we stayed in was nicely appointed. The breakfast is modest in scale but of a high standard. The sun terrace is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a wine or breakfast (or both). The bed was.very comfortable and the bathroom was nice and spacious. The staff are friendly and attentive. Parking is really close to the rooms but not intrusive on your stay. It's a short trip in a car to Sonoma town.

It was a little pricey for the standard of the room. The metal two-seater bathtub looked nice but was less usable than it appeared. The private patio area felt a bit cheap. The staff gave us taxi numbers to try instead of offering to book a taxi for us (which is fine, but would have been nice to have the help) - as they're a short trip from Sonoma and Uber/Lyft is a little unreliable we thought they would have had a go-to solution for transport.

Very beautiful house. The additional Zen rooms were lovely. The finish and attention to detail was amazing. Extra complementary items were very appreciated.

Some small style over substance elements. Hot water tap (no kettle) meant that the water wasn’t really boiling for tea/coffee. The Japanese style cups in the room were beautiful but very small.

A very unique experience. We got a suite that was in Japanese style, which we didn’t expect but absolutely loved it.

By the pool there’re two things (chairs) covered up and it doesn’t look good. Also by the pool there some kind of structure like add on stuff room and the whole structure looks like it’s out of place. The entire place is so serene and beautiful and then there is that structure.

Utterly peaceful, elegant, unpretentious. The sense of relaxation comes over you the minute you enter. It made us want to visit Japan. The staff was lovely and welcoming. The amenities were thoughtful and the breakfast was different and delicious each day. We will go back.

The room was spacious and clean, we absolutely loved the cheese and wine happy hour which was high quality and generous.

The breakfast had very little selection which was disappointing. The pool and hot-tub were not clean- we did come after a storm but this level of hotel should make sure to clean before guests arrive. Generally this is a great hotel but for that price I expected more.

The atmosphere of the hotel is very quiet and relax. We came to the hotel close to 5:00 PM and they had a welcome reception with wines and charcuterie very nice. Then we met other guests and share experiences about wine tasting and restaurants recommendations. We are from Puerto Rico, and we recommend this hotel.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Rooms were beautiful and very spacious. Pool area was beautiful. Wine hour and fresh cookies was a lovely touch. Staff went above and beyond. Lovely location with close restaurants and cafes close by alongside lovely walking trails. Breakfast in the hotel was delicious. Such a relaxing stay for a weekend!

I really loved this place. The excellent taste of the building and the room. It was the perfect stay for our anniversary. They even give us an upgrade since they have the availability. Great pool, beautiful gardening and perfect location, next to good restaurants. The complimentary cheese & wine in the afternoon was a plus.

Breakfast was good quality but there were only a few options. You really need your car to move around, the restaurants are 3 mins away but you cannot walk since there are no sidewalks.
