I've stayed at Sky Ranch Inn many many times over the years when I visit Palo Alto. I can always count on them to provide clean comfortable accommodations. The location is good for the places I visit when I'm in town The first thing I do when I check into a motel is check for bedbugs and they have never had them. I feel safe there and the innkeepers are always nice.

I did notice that the place is starting to look a little worn so they could use some sprucing up like new paint and bedding. The window curtain was ill fitting. The DirecTV choices are pretty terrible, just news and maybe one old movie channel. 99% of it is stuff no one would want to watch.

Very service minded and friendly front desk and no problem to check-in around midnight. Easy to find, in an area that felt perfectly safe, with several hotels/motels nearby. Parking directly outside our room. Nice toiletries for free (schampoo/conditioner/body lotion). Some drinks for free on arrival (found in the room). Worth to be mentioned: we only stayed for one night and arrived late and left early.

The room was very hot on arrival at midnight. We started the AC, but shut it down again because it was so load. Instead we opened a window to get a natural breeze. But then were disturbed by all cars passing by, since our room was the closest to the main street. If you want it be quiet, ask for the most quiet room. One curtain was broken, which gave the room a worn impression.

Absolutely immaculate, both the room, the office and the parking area. Comfortable bed, pillows, good sized room, new carpet, refrigerator, coffee maker, free water and drinks plus pastry in room, good quality soap, enough towels. Quiet location, 15 minutes from Stanford Hospital, which is reached via backroads rather than busy El Camino. Great restaurants nearby including a Steak and Seafood one, Hobbes and a Japanese restaurant serving udon, sushi, sashimi etc. Kevin, the front office attendant was friendly, helpful and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

Our Room AC/Heater is extreme loud with fan or off, the unit needs replaced, we could not use it at night due to the extreme noise...the hair dryer on the wall was down, new one laying in wall holder on counter to use.. The toilet had a drain leaky tank...after use always on...the TV did not work till we got manager/owner to come over...Room 112 is behind huge foliage needs trimmed...all in all just basic needs done new toilet, new AC/Heater..another light fixture is also needed on the desk...get back to them to fix..

OOPS...read like vs typed in wrong space...is what we did not like...all like was intro to unit by gal, beds were good... try to upgrade small issues..

Good location (3 bus stops from transit center, most supermarkets ~1 km away, grocery, pharmacy). Room very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean, room also clean. Staff was always there, extremely helpful and polite. Fast internet connection. Price was probably the best compared to other hotels in the area.

Room carpet and furniture a bit old. A/C was on some occasions noisy. Stayed for weeks. My only complaint was having 2-3 times towels fresh-washed, still with old stains. Had an issue with wi-fi for 1 day although I stayed very long, so this was rather the exception .

There was no breakfast except for in-room coffee, and ONE pastry (there were two of us). Who knows how fresh the pastry was? We did not eat it. This was my first ever stay at an ABVI, although I've seen them all across the country. I have always been a bit leery of them because generally they don't look very inviting from the exterior. I have to travel to Palo Alto a number of times per year for medical treatment at Stanford. We generally have to stay one night due to the distance we have to travel. We've stayed in almost every budget hotel from South San Francisco to San Jose to the East Bay, and have never found one we would return to, until now. I was quite surprised. Our room had been entirely remodeled (not piecemeal like some places do.) Although the room is small, it was very clean, and so nice to have a new, clean bathroom. My only complaint is that the pillows were not very comfy, although the bed was. I got a great rate for the room, and it is literally just minutes from Stanford, so we'll be coming back for my next visit.

The check-in clerk was very young and not all that friendly, but we had no issues with check-in.

My stay was excellent. I was travelling alone and the front desk attender was really friendly which makes me feel comfortable, He even helped me to check in early as my flight landed early in the day. This was really nice. When I came back at late night he was also there which makes me feel safe. The coffee and the pastry for the breakfast was also good. Room was clean. I usually come to PaloAlto every few months and I hope to stay in this place in future too.

The motel is in a beautiful location and everything is convenient. We asked the management for help and always received a kind and helpful attitude. Thank you very much, Kevin. I can recommend the motel as dtstudenny for its price. We liked everything and will definitely stay again if we are in that area.
