Hidden fees $45 to park- did not see that when we were booking , very disappointing- they tell you once you are there, by then it was too late. Couldn’t park across the street - it would get ticketed between 2-4 am - then the isles were too narrow. Tough to get in and park. Need to keep track of number parking tickets sold- on a Friday night, there was a wedding, we watched 7 cars circling around to find a spot- we stayed in that night afraid to leave and not get a spot. For paying $45 a day, I should not have to drive around looking for a spot. Will anything change - no. Why because they can and they will- very disappointing !!!! Everything cost money No ice machines

Friendly staff, near the beach. Restaurant on property. Pool is heated. Jacuzzi. Spa/ massage was 10/10

Through Booking.com there is a lot of fees that I was not aware of. The room deposit is $89 a night parking is $50 a night and the resort fee is $49 a night. None of that is included and your daily rate.

The location was great. The meals were delicious. The staff was extremely friendly. The view of the marina and to see the seals was nice and eventful.

The hot water was not hot. I understand the water heater may serve several guests, but I would have to wait until after 11:00 pm or wake up at 5:30 am to take a shower to get hot water. There were two times during my stay that the wait for the elevator was more than 5 minutes. I could hear it pass the third floor, up and down. The elevator button had been selected to stop on the 3rd floor.

We upgraded our room to a suite with a marina view. The bed was very comfortable. The suite was large which was fabulous as we brought our grandson. We had room to spread out, we could watch tv or hang out in separate room while he slept, we could watch the flight, boat and bird traffic from our window and deck. The staff at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool was fun with the slides although the Santa Ana winds prevented us from using it much. There is access to kayaking nearby and a little marina shop for coffee and breakfast sandwiches (expensive), and a nice walk along the water.

The room is a little tired, but it was ok. Parking is expensive but very easy and convenient.

The staff (especially shoutout to online special requests- booking staff and onsite John, Revi, and Caitlyn) who went above and beyond especially for making a birthday weekend filled of fun surprises. The corner suite high floor rooms are the best rooms and highly recommended. The pool was tons of fun especially the water slides, the good music, and ping pong play area.

The showers when running hot water for it to not have a super loud noise that sounds like a boat horn. Not only our room but you can hear it from other rooms as well. Also the seals can be very loud if youre a light sleeper. The spa had limited or no appointments (especially disappointed it was closed on mondays).

One of, if not, the best hotel check in experiences I have ever had. As a tired family of four who had travelled from Australia, it was amazing to see the smiling and welcoming faces of the concierge and front desk staff. They were thorough, quick and efficient. The hotel itself was immaculate, I don't know what the other reviews are talking about saying it's not up to scratch. As a normal, middle class family, who doesn't regularly stay in hotels like this we were absolutely blown away by how amazing everything was - the pool area, the rooms, the restaurants, I cannot speak highly enough. We stayed in a sea view room, the sunset views were incredible and the beds and sheets were super comfortable. My wife mentioned she hadn't slept that well in years. The pool was the absolute highlight of the trip and my kids utilised the waterslide from the minute it opened till closed. The fire pit for marshmallows and S'mores were just another finishing touch during winter to make our stay amazing. I could not recommend this hotel more highly for families and I dream one day we'll get to come back here.

The only 'downside' is that the hotel was so amazing, that my kids did not want to leave. So we didn't get to explore as much of San Diego as we would have liked. But we had an incredible few days by the pool and waterslides of this amazing hotel.

Our 1st floor room was beautiful and we loved our private secluded patio (room 1986). There is no view but the room opens up to the patio and makes the living area very spacious. Super comfy bed and couch, too. The pool area is so fun! My son had a great time on the slides and I enjoyed the food and drink options from both the onsite restaurants.

Parking is very pricey and there really isn't any viable street parking. You'll need a car to get around. No room service the days we were there. You can order and pick up from the onsite restaurants, though.

The welcome from arriving and being upgraded at no extra cost from floor 1 to 15 with a wonderful view over the marina. The room was very spacious, comfortable with a beautiful bathroom and small balcony to enjoy the marina view and mountains on the distance. The staff are an asset to the hotel, on the front desk Pierre and Tyler were brilliant, on the concierge team Monique had a smile to make anyones day and Hunter and john so kind and helpful. Wonderful service.

Nothing I could add as we had a wonderful stay and couldnt improve on anything we were aware of.

The Hyatt is very family friendly. We loved the waterslides, pools and hot tub. It was really fun playing lawn games on the property as well. Our room was spacious, clean, well decorated and had amazing views of San Diego, especially of Sea World Fireworks at night. Each morning we enjoyed walking down to the Hyatt market and had breakfast on the pier. We especially enjoyed the Pelican (poolside restaurant & bar.) The staff was excellent, from Melanie at the front desk, to the lifeguards, hotel security and the restaurant staff. The grounds were beautifully kept, it reminded us of HI. The location of the Hyatt is great. A short walk to mission beach and a 5 minute drive to sea world.

Overall positive experience at this hotel. We enjoyed the resort amenities, including great meals and cocktails at their restaurants.

Be aware that you will be paying $40-50 a day for parking whether you valet or not. Cleanliness of bathroom in our room could have been better.
