We loved our stay here and our dog had a blast! This is such a neat little dog friendly gem located right on dog beach. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. Before hitting the beach, grab some adult beverages and delicious sub sandwiches from Lu's just two blocks away. As two older females, we felt safe here at all times on and off the property. Excellent 3 night stay and we hope our dog brings us back here soon! :)

Everything was wonderful - just wish the airstream diner on property was open on Mondays and Tuesdays, we had it Wednesday morning and it was THAT GOOD!!! While no one wants to pay $15.00 a day for parking, we found it to be very reasonable considering the great hotel rate we received and for how safe we felt our vehicle was parked there. Thank you for a great stay!

The parking fees for a day I think is stealing because the don't say it .When I ask about it the answer was you have to read the papers.That is going down to minus 30%

The staff was friendly. The lobby was closed when we arrived so we were greeted through a window. The clerk was very friendly. Our room was close but the parking available was not due to the late arrival. I did not see an elevator but the stairs are not too bad. Our room was clean and spacious. The fridge was larger than I expected. The amenities are very basic. I immediately checked out the ocean view. Yes you can see the ocean from the room, but dog park view may have been a more accurate description. It was a short walk to the beach so I think the location is amazing! Now, that I have seen the accommodations and location, we will definitely be staying again next time with the pups!!

The place was very clean, but they could use some fresh paint on the walls and new sheets. It was apparent they were washed, but it was unsettling that they had stains. I read the reviews prior to booking, so I was still very pleasantly surprised at how nice it was in spite of that. Honestly, the price and value can't be beat, so I didn't mind.

They have a perfect California beach-town property. It was nicely located and the staff was kind and professional. The owners have a little outdoor area set up as a breakfast place, and it seemed to be good, as many people were eating there each day. They also have a path that cuts through to a walking path near a beach not for swimming. The pool was not operational due to repairs and or the time of year.

Our only trouble was that the rooms had no built in heaters and not enough space heaters by the time we arrived. We bought one and a bath rug, since the tile floor was also freezing. I wish they would upgrade their towels and linens and have comfortable arm chairs for sitting in the room. Ours came with a wooden bench and wooden picnic table for furniture, not the best for older folks. As mentioned, we had no heat and it was literally freezing weather. I could not take a shower it was so cold. There was no outlet that worked in the bathroom, either. Was offered extra blankets, but by that time, we had purchased a heater. Also there was no compensation offered for the lack of heat.

the price, the quality, the comfort... the EXCEPTIONAL service! I lost my wallet somewhere, and let the manager know. turns out it was in my room all along and I couldn't find it, and had to leave to catch my flight. she called me and said housekeeping had found it, and she MAILED my wallet to me back home! and the most incredible part; my money was still in my wallet. I don't normally see that level of integrity, and this place, and the manager and staff, are exceptional individuals and I couldn't imagine a better stay, especially for the price. Plus, they're definitely pet-friendly. Definitely coming back next time I'm out there.

It's a pet-friendly area with a dog-walking beach, so there's lots of other people with their dogs, but I didn't have any problems.

Proximity to the beach for our fur babies was amazing. The hotel includes metal tubs to clean your animals outside of the hotel room with free towels service for the animals, which was amazing. Walking distance to many restaurants and has a wonderful little breakfast coffee joint on the hotel grounds.

Only dislike was our shower was either scolding hot or ice cold no matter what manipulation of the hot and cold water knobs. We ended up taking cold showers with a splash of hot water in between rinses. We are not upset, just a point to note.

Upon arriving it took a moment to appreciate the Uniqueness of your surroundings. Pet friendly was an understatement. My pet met and sniffed everything and everyone. Nothing but wonderful reactions from the staff and local vendors. Everyone had a great time. The location is perfect to be away yet close to everything. We will be back:)

A few back of the bathroom doors would be nice. A hanger or two for the closet and to have screen slider door on each room on the dog run side.

The location is fantastic! Beach is close by & many shops, restaurants & bars within walking distance! We did stay during the week, so the room cost was amazing. The staff here is absolutely amazing! We always try to stay here when visiting as we like to walk to the beach & surrounding areas. Just be sure to bring good walking shoes. View from the room we're amazing. Highly recommend staying here!

It's still a great value for location, though & we look forward to our next stay! This place won't disappoint if you are looking for a simple, not fancy hotel but with a great location. Highly recommend!

The closeness to the beach was great as well as dog friendly. Shower was nice, room was clean. Staff was helpful.

Parking was tricky to maneuver...could be free considering the awkwardness of it.

So close to the dog beach! Walking trails around the property, are great too . Luv the back patios with the dog runs and the ocean air coming in the back door!

Would prefer some nicer, sturdier tables and chairs for dining on the patios. Current tables and chairs are dated and others are cheap wood and flimsy chairs. A jacuzzi would be a plus!
