It's across the street from the beach! I'm mobility impaired but I was able to easily visit the beach. There are lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and shops within easy walking distance, even for me. The staff at the hotel is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is an older property but very clean & well maintained. There's a large, walled in patio that my room opened out to. It has a fountain and tables to enjoy. The beach side walls are glass so you can enjoy the ocean from the patio. The hotel is very dog friendly and there were several rooms that had doggy guests. The area is very dog friendly. The beach across the street allows leashed dogs and there's a dog beach just minutes away that allows off-leash dogs. Overall, I felt welcome, comfortable, and safe during my stay. I'll definitely stay here again!

The hotel is quaint. If you're looking for a luxury spa, look elsewhere. I enjoyed the relaxed vibe and the boho area. My room was small but I didn't feel cramped because of the patio and ocean access. There are planes flying over during the day but I didn't notice any at night. There's an in-room refrigerator & coffee maker, but no microwave (guests are welcome to use the microwave in the office).

Had to add an extra night. They were very accommodating. View was spectacular - waves and pier. We had very heavy rain, they provided extra towels to help with keeping the mess down on the floors (hard surface, no rugs). They allowed us to bring in the table and chairs from the porch so that the 4 people in the room had a place to sit down other than the beds. Parking was provided for one car, always had a place to park our car, even on the heavy traffic beach days. Location was perfect for access to Sea World and Belmont Park. Exterior access doors to the courtyard were locked at night with card key access. The courtyard and outside ocean-facing seating areas were lovely. Amenities available - laundry and a well-stocked lobby store. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We were able to walk to restaurants and stores (Target is nearby). I was delighted to have the three sliding glass doors facing the ocean and pier that could be opened to allow the air and sound of the surf (railing provided for safety). I would love to come back when the weather is warmer.

This is an older facility on the beach which means no elevator service to the second and third floors. This is also a beach town and there are transients wandering around, bars open late, street vendors, and the location is on the main street with cars, motorcycles, and daily garbage pickups across the street, all contributing to a lot of general noise. I am an older person and although I didn't have any problems with the local color, others might. A nightlight in the bathroom would be nice.

Charming old beach-side hotel. Nicely updated, Friendly/helpful staff. Selection of snacks, beverages and other miscellaneous items for sale and nicely displayed in the lobby. Clean rooms, Fluffy towels and comfortable beds. Balcony looking right onto the beach.

The bathroom was very small. It is a busy corner but especially Wednesday nights are "party" nights in the park/beach. Music until after 11:00 so be warned if you need to sleep early!

Cleanliness, our room was serviced every day (probably because our stay was >3 days). Location closed to everything beach, restaurants, target/convenient store. Parking is free and accessible - available space all the time. Has a decent coffee maker and free bottled water 8 oz good enough to make coffee upon waking up, which was stocked every day. Has fridge and tv.

The room was a bit smaller from what I expected, the bed was queen but it seems smaller than a queen size bed. Have to replace the hotel room key card couple of times because it was not working. No microwave to reheat left overs from eating out. The area by the hotel looks more like for single people because of the vibe. The beach front is more for surfers.

My family had such a wonderful stay at Ocean Beach Hotel. This was our first time there and we absolutely loved it! The staff were all very friendly, and our accommodations were very safe, clean and comfortable. Family-friendly and dog-friendly, too. The amazing Ocean Beach views/vibes and the hotel's convenient location were the icing on the cake! There was so much to see and do (beach, food, music, people-watching) and all within walking distance! Plus the hotel has a beautiful and relaxing courtyard and fountain to enjoy. All in all my family had a safe and wonderful stay at Ocean Beach Hotel and we can't wait to return for another family vacation.

The hotel has three floors and didn't have an elevator. The stairs aren't bad but the climb up may be inconvenient for some.

paid an extra 20 dollars for extra parking, cancelled it a few hours later but could not get money back. Thought that was a little rediculous, but other than that, nice place great location and fair price/.

The location is great, very central to all the restaurants and the main street in Ocean beach and right across the street from the beach. The beds are soo comfortable and the first floor patio room was really spacious and has a nice open seating area to relax outside and look out on the beach and ocean. I really enjoyed that and would definitely stay in that room again. We also tried the regular room which was decent enough but not as good as the patio room. Love that it has free parking in a lot right at the side of the hotel, very convenient.

The regular room on the lower floor doesn't have a ceiling fan and it seemed a bit more dated than the patio room. The lights in the outdoor patio area weren't working, or maybe they were turned off because it was raining, not sure. Prices are a bit high in my opinion but it's likely due to the location.

We got the family beach room in a 2nd floor and it was AMAZING! The views were to die for and the amount of things to do RIGHT outside the hotel were crazy! We have now marked this our best family vacation so far!

It hit a little loud at night from the street drummers drumming the same beat outside of our window for 6+ hours but over time we didn’t mind and were able to just fall asleep!

The staff was friendly, kept the entire property very clean, and we really enjoyed the 2 resident cats! The courtyard was beautiful and the 3-level patio overlooking the beach was wonderful--when it was chilly we could be on the top level in the sun, and if it got too warm, we could be on a lower level in the shade.

There were no screens on the windows so flies got into the room

Beds were super comfortable and the room was very nice and clean .loved the easy access to the beach

Floors were like greasy feeling and no plug in close to the sink for curling irons ,straighteners etc...
