Our family had asked for two rooms close together and the hotel put our rooms right next door to each other which made us very happy! Rooms were very clean and very spacious! Location was excellent! Walking distance to Balboa Park, Gaslamp District, Little Italy, and more. Beds were super comfortable.

Our adult son slept on the pullout couch. He didn't find it to be very comfortable but when we told the front desk, three thick comforters were sent up to our room. Using the comforters for extra padding made it more comfortable for him. Great service from the front desk! Our granddaughter used the pullout couch in the other room and because she is much smaller, it was very comfortable for her.

The location of the Pulse is close to the trolley and the bus lines and the Gaslamp District. We walked and used public transportation (to the zoo, Balboa Park, Old Town, taking a ferry to Coronado Landing), so no rental car was needed or having to pay for parking. Our breakfast was delicious—scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, sourdough toast and Starbucks coffee. We enjoyed a Happy Hour and had wine and a tasty meat eaters flatbread. Our king suite was very spacious, big bathroom, clean, lovely, comfortable, and complete with dishes, silverware, microwave, and fridge and freezer, dishwasher. Plenty of dresser drawers for our stuff. We loved it and plan to return next year!

We wish the restaurant on-site, Shake Bar and Lounge, would have been less expensive.

Spacious, contemporary, lots of drawers/storage, the kitchenette with real dishes & mini dishwasher and the helpful-friendly staff. Also the little touches like the alcohol wipes, Starbucks coffee single cup trays, complementary packs of eye masks with earplugs & daily water bottles.

Bed was too firm. If you have issues with heights, be advised.

the bed was really comfortable, the property was clean. our room was spacious.

the location. there was nothing close by. we needed to walk 15 minutes to find restaurants or stores. also parking was expensive.

we loved the guest laundry on our floor and the free supplies. Keep that going please. We also thought the parking at this location worked out very well although we hated the spiral cement entrance.

The showers need to be updated. I have to come to expect a rain shower or a fancy glass door shower when I travel. The shower head in my room was mediocre at best.

The hotel staff was great. Whatever we needed they were very prompt in getting it to us. Omg the bed was so comfortable. The room was nice. Our room was on the same floor as everything absolutely love that! I like the decor, just a shower in it! How it has a door that separates the bedroom from the living room. It’s 2 ways to get in the bathroom. The room was Beautiful

I didn’t like that the comforter or the pillow cases were clean. So look closely before laying in the bed. Once we told them they did correct it! I still recommend this hotel.

Everything was fine. I like the setup and the clerks that were working the front desk. Housekeeping always took care of our requests.

We had a family reunion but I don’t feel the criteria of the contract was fully understood, so there were charges made to account that set the reunion team backwards. I don’t think we will use this hotel again for hosting purposes.

Lovely room. Kitchenette and lounge room. Staff gave us. Tip to access the building on the opposite side to the entrance and saved a trudge one block up the hill. Lovely bathroom and shower pressure, big windows. Great decor, bed and linens. Very comfy room.

Homeless people around the block but that doesn't seem to be unusual for san diego city. No one bothered us.

Great location with very reasonable price. And there are local attractives and must-eat restaurants near by. Walking distance to some popular sightseeings.

The hotel parking is not so flexible. Sure it's in downtown area. Each time drive up to 7th floor parking entrance, the spiral road is so narrow. Then from 7th floor to 11th floor hotel paryking area, the road of design is also very confusing so easy to lost.

Our room was a fantastic size with great facilities. I was really impressed by the bed and the bathroom in particular! The staff at the hotel were brilliant and they have daily activities at the hotel like live music and mimosas (they put up a little schedule each week around the hotel)

The location felt a little unsafe but it's downtown San Diego so it comes with the territory.
