The views were probably the best part, the rooms were very nice, and I liked that you needed a room key to use the elevator, which felt secure. Staff was also very welcoming and helpful!

It was surprisingly loud, on the 12th floor, you could hear people shouting, sirens, and dogs barking on the streets late into the night. However that’s not uncommon for older buildings, and didn’t change my overall positive opinion of this hotel.

beautiful hotel; attractive rooms; historic building located in gaslamp section of town.

gaslamp area of town has a rather seedy edge to it. rather expensive. i was also a bit unclear about wi-fi. was it included if you're not a "bonvoy" member or was it extra? the staff said included, but the link to wifi suggests otherwise, and i had trouble connecting, so i just used my own roaming data which will be expensive! all seemed needlessly complcated compared to any other hotel where i have stayed.

The rooms were very comfy.

Our whole stay for 5 days we didn't get any room service. I had to walk to the room service lady just to give all our trash/recycles and get some toilet papers. We didn't receive any new towels as well I ask the front desk for room service three days into our stay and they said that the room service will stop by which didn't happen so I have to hunt them down to take our trash and get some toilet papers. Other than that, our stay was great.

The room was very comfortable. The view for the fireworks was spot on! The location was in easy driving distance to Disneyland

Housekeeping forgot to bring us towels after we called. They never showed up with the requested towels. We went to the front desk and told them and they stated they would make sure the towels would be delivered. Valet service could have been better. We pulled up our last evening and there were 4 valets standing and talking. A few looked right at us and didn't come to our car. 2 other cars pulled up a bit after us (a Mercedes and a Land Rover) and the valets were quick to attend to those 2 cars. I had to get out of my car before the valet came to me. This has never happened before.

location on broadway au,1 block from gaslamp district[a must do for evening meals and crowd watching]Trolley to access waterfront behind hotel,buses out the front.Uber was so convenient and cheap to use.No parking but didn,t have or need a car.Eateries everywhere with lots of variety.

Homeless around the hotel but no threat,just sad.Early morning rubbish pickup noisy but necessary.

Clean room and bathroom, comfortable & clean bed, silent floor. Wi-Fi working OK. The "Market" was very helpful in the Lobby with a large variety of food & beverages. Desk staff was helpful and polite. Check-in and out was very fast and efficient.

Neighborhood is not really the safest place I have ever been to, but the hotel has a strong security deployment at the entrance. Please, do something for your breakfast. It was not at all at the right level. 2 blocks away (Breakfast Republic) you could find cheaper and way, way better!

Only stayed one night for a concert next door to the hotel. It was a very pleasant experience at this hotel. The room was clean and quiet. The front desk staff were nice and friendly. I wish I was able to stay for longer. The lobby was really cool. Next time I come to San Diego, I will definitely stay here again.

So I have a bad knee and the bed was a little high and I had to do a hop and roll to get in it. It was a comfortable bed though.

Location - plus and minus : Located right in the watershed of several great areas- such as Gaslamp and Little Italy. Walked to Seaport Village and Midway Museum as well. Perfect location for us due to proximity to daughter’s apartment. Close proximity to great neighborhoods, but not actually IN a great neighborhood, not a place to walk alone, especially at night.

The location of the hotel is great ...very near 5th and on Broadway which are both streets you can walk down to the harbour. The rooms are really clean and comfortable and the beds are very comfortable.

Maybe the price could have been a bit better...otherwise everything was great.

Large sized room, nice tv with top channels and streaming services, comfortable bed and pillows, bathroom decor is nice and clean. I didn't ask for room service, but they do it every day if needed.

The only complaint I have is price. It's way too high during the summer.
