The location was fantastic and was the main reason I booked this hotel. The rooftop pool was amazing and I spent 2 days relaxing on the cushioned pool chairs. The decor was beautiful in the hotel - Fancy chandeliers and beautiful French style furniture.

The parking garage attendants weren't very helpful. We had money ready to tip but they didn't have a cart for our luggage and he didn't seem very eager to help us get things out of our trunks. Not the best first impression for a place I am spending $450 a night on. Also, the communication between the front desk and the garage related to parking fees wasn't the best. I paid for my daughter's parking fees and they gave her a hard time when she was trying to leave the parking garage. Seems like they need to get a better system so the front desk and garage can communicate more efficiently.

The staff at this hotel was SO INCREDIBLE from the moment you check in (actually even before check in) you are met with the kindest friendliest people! Special shoutouts to Al from Valet, John Mark at the doors Madison our bartender at the Westgate room Remi our pool bartender and maybe a manager(?) and Sarah who sent us complimentary Evian for our anniversary! Plus the kindest front desk agents who were there for us at every point in our stay! And you know it’s not just us because everyone who walked into the Westgate was not only greeted by name but greeted the staff by name which is how you KNOW they’ve made a lasting impression. Come for the beautiful French art and decor and the stellar rooftop pool and fitness center but STAY For the heart of the Westgate hotel- the people who make it happen!

A water fountain on the floors would be lovely but that you to Andrea(?) at the front desk for loading us up with mini water bottles to keep us going!

I chose the Westgate because it was close to the airport and Balboa Park. The staff were very helpful. We arrived early and were able to store our luggage so that we do some sightseeing before checking in. The room had comfortable beds and was attractively decorated. We enjoyed the live music at dinner.

The bed and bathtub! Very comfortable and large room!

The train/MTS TROLLEY blows every 10 mins even at night and the property is a little dated but overall I’d stay there again.

The personnel is great, very kind and nice. This is the third time I stay in the Westgate and all my expectations were met, thanks!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The valet service made getting in and out of the hotel parking lot so easy. The hotel bar was fantastic, they even had live music. The hotel pool was really nice and relaxed, not crowded at all.

The elevators are a bit small so if you have a lot of luggage it might be hard to fit in them. Getting to the pool area is slightly confusing if you don’t know where you’re going. They do not have 24 hour room service so keep that in mind if you want food late.

The king bed really comfortable. A/C heater VERY outdated. Room was dated!

Clean, well appointed. Rooms were roomy and clean. Beds comfortable.

We didn’t stay long so we didn’t experience much.

Fancy! Huge room - loved the shower/small bath. Fridge in room. central location- we walked everywhere & didn’t take the car out of the parking once!

Rubber mattress protector made the bed very noisy & made me sweat - awful sleep for 3 of our 4 nights (til I discovered the protector!). Not good sound proofing - could hear traffic & yelling neighbours!

Fabulous location, on bus and trolley lines with stops just across the road!
