Great staff!! (Check in, restaurant and at the bar). Outside lounge area on the second floor was cool. It had the feel of being in Italy 🇮🇹.

1. TV was difficult to navigate, and there were no local channels. Everything was through a streaming service but couldn't log in to any of the apps, and the Wi-Fi didn't wouldn't hook to the TV, even while using the provided hotel Wi-Fi access. 2. The bathroom had a weird, musty smell to it. 3. The outside street noise is ridiculously loud and can go on into the early morning hours!! No guest parking!! It's around the corner and very expensive. 4. Sneaky bedtime. 5. The room (219) had a slight lean, which causes the door to stick in the doorframe and on the floor. Making it difficult to open.

The young guy on reception was absolutely brilliant. I’m annoyed I didn’t catch his name but he’s the one who helped us move rooms as our TV was broken. He was so helpful and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. All the other staff were super friendly too but he went above and beyond for us. Free tea and coffee was such a bonus loved that touch and the restaurant downstairs (and the voucher for it) is also brilliant.

Weird smell like wet dog (in both of the rooms we had). Second room we got moved to also had a huge gap in the window where the air con unit had not been fitted properly so we could hear the street all night. Door also had gaps above and below. So we could hear our neighbours slamming their door shut.

I had a wonderful stay at the Beau Hotel in San Diego during 1 week. The service was absolutely impeccable, and the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. Communication around the booking was excellent — everything was smooth and easy. The setting is truly enchanting, with a charming manor-style atmosphere that adds so much character. The breakfast was also excellent — varied, fresh, and satisfying. On top of that, the value for money is excellent. I highly recommend this place and would happily stay here again!

Great hotel, the restaurant is delicious and they give you a guest discount. Thanks! The outdoor sitting area was really nice, and the ice/tea/water lounge that was free to use on every floor was a nice perk. The room was nice and clean, plain. The windows were then, I did hear some noise on arrival and was worried but then the nights I was there were quiet. I weekend might be louder, but they did have ear plugs on the desk. Guess they know. The bathroom was nice and big, the room was a good size and had a desk. It had a portable AC with the hose out the window, which is why you couldn't close the window completely to keep more noise out. Luckily not a lot of bugs in the area, at least in summer. Easy walk to gaslamp. Cool look if you like historical looking buildings, which I do.

Fabulous historic building renovated to shine as a boutique hotel in 2025. Energetic and upbeat staff ready to do anything and everything. The coffee bar/cafe at the end of the hall and outside on the first floor was excellent. Breakfast in the lobby bar worked well for me—banana bread with honey butter and fruit plate set me up for the day.

There was a lot to love about the Beau but I’d say I didn’t love the pillows- that’s probably the economics of a pre-opening that will be improved. When all is up and running, I’d like a bath mat.

The Beau is a charming hotel in a restored 1880’s building. The rooms are a nice size and very nicely decorated. There is complementary brewed Starbucks coffee in a small alcove on the second floor that leads to a cute little patio. The Beau is centrally located within walking distance of great restaurants in Little Italy.

They do not have hotel parking you have to park in a parking structure about a half a block away.

Hotel was especially inviting and staff were very helpful. Location was close to some very good restaurants with walking distance.

There was no place to sit down in the room. Would have been more comfortable if the room had a chair or two. Also, there was not counter space in the bathroom so no place to put toiletries.

The hotel is very beautiful, and the room was clean and comfortable for the price I paid for a night. The location was excellent as well! I had breakfast at the restaurant in the lobby, and the food was delicious! I would definitely stay at this hotel again whenever I visit San Diego again!

The tv in our room was not usable. My husband and I enjoy watching movies, and unfortunately we were unable to do so.

Very cozy room in a nice area with plenty to eat/drink! The staff was really nice and the vibe was cute. And the bathroom was great-- with a good shower and mango-scented soaps!!

The room had a weird litter smell that didn't really go away :( and the deposit was basically the same price as the room, which was a bit excessive. ?

The team at Beau is delightful. I enjoyed the free tea/ coffee station and the delicious meals at the restaurant/bar. I loved my room, too, especially the comfy bed. I also love their cutlery choice, very up to the theme: vintage and classy. The hotel is a beautiful time capsule.
