We were met by a very pleasant chap who very generously upgraded our rooms FOC. The rooms were excellent, our room was a somewhat quirky with an unusual shower set up. The top floor bar and pool was very nice and the location was also nice for the adults. We were very close to the Gaslamp quarter which was very cool, our kids were a bit on edge there though. I'm not sure it is a perfect family hotel (for location, not facilities) but for hipsters I reckon it ticks every box!

Nothing - the hotel was very good.

I loved how comfortable the bed was. I felt like it was hugging me to sleep. I loved the air conditioning, the plasma screen tv, the fact that the snacks in the room were complimentary, as well as the waters in the mini fridge. I loved that the elevators and door to your room are activated only from your room key. I loved being able to see the view from the rroftop l, and that there was a comfortable sitting area and pool to enjoy. The bath tub we had was huge which was nice to soothe in. And we had a nice view. Overall, it was a nice experience especially since it was our first time in San Diego.

The parking was the only thing I didn't really like. You have to stop and pull over to the side of the sidewalk, but it is amongst oncoming traffic and the cars are parked all around the building making it difficult to pull over to check in. There is also no self-parking for guests who are checked in, only valet. Tye valet were noce folks, and I didn't mind the option to valet, but it was difficult since you had to stop in the middle of traffic for them to notice you. Also I felt that the price you have to pay to keep your car there overnight for each night you stay as a guest was way to pricey.

It was a very comfortable room. It's a great location for bar hopping and has some nice food places around to either grab something quick or even sit down. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful!

The room was smaller than expected but not a big deal. Also when using the shower for some reason when getting in or out the water poured out onto the floor idk if it was slow leaking out during the shower I would just notice it when coming in or out. The seal on the bottom just might need the be redone and the draining during/after the shower was really loud. One last thing is I notice what look like little blood spatter on the bottom window underneath the one that opens. I was also thinking it could be rust but didn't sound logical with it being on the window. I've been in housekeeping so I understand how it could have been missed due to that specific area being mainly cover by the pillar inside the room.

I loved the room we actually upgraded to the suit and it was perfect for us

If there was anything I didn't like it would have been not having proper instructions on how to use the cell phone to call for services. Really a small inconvenience to the overall stay.

Bryan was nice and helpful at the front desk. Staff was friendly and restocked our room well.

It is expensive for the location and the "market" was crazy expensive. Private event prevented us from having breakfast or time at the pool on our last day, and we had time to spare before we left the city for the day.

Toilet still had previous occupants marks under the seat. I try to make sure the hotel I select does not have a bath shower as I'm not a fan of. But somehow, I ended up with one even though the original selection didn't, and the photos showed a shower.

The location in downtown San Diego was great. It is central to everything (freeways, Petco Park, the Gaslamp District, Seaport Village). The staff was very nice and attentive. And the room was clean. The rooftop bar, pool and atmosphere were top notch. The food was great.

I stayed in a room with two double beds. The room was on the second floor (room 231) and it had no view of anything. It looked out at some makeshift rock garden and the side of a building. This room was not commensurate with the 5-star designation that I thought I was getting. Additionally, the hotel is very close to the Salvation Army and there were many homeless people sitting on the sidewalk on the side of the hotel smoking various things. Not really 5 stars if you are afraid to walk on a street right next to the hotel.

they were very friendly and accommodating and by far the quietest hotel I’ve ever stayed in and there was a huge convention in town

it was dark in the lobby and although the rooms have been updated the double occupancy rooms could use more bathroom space and privacy.

Great location, the pool was awesome and the rooms were very comfortable and stylish.

The only thing would be the bums outside but other than that no complaints!
