Great location for exploring San Fran. Good sized room. We paid a $30 destination fee on top of our booking per night (pretty standard in the US) but this was the only place we stayed where you got that money as credit - which could then be spent on either breakfast or at the restaurant or bar so it felt like you got food for free. It also included a free cable car ride for 2 which was such a good perk, saving us $16. There was one member of staff in particular at the front desk who was perhaps the most joyful person I have ever met and he really went above and beyond with our interaction - thank you. Also great toiletries provided and replenished daily.

Location - close to all transport, bus-tram-cable car. The luxury shopping center is right at the corner and next building is a 4 storey Ross shop! A lot of shops around the hotel for everyday use/need. Staffs - the man at the reception named Ray, was very polite and I felt the warm welcome. He explained everything to me and informed about the 30$ fee per day where you can redeem on food on their restaurants plus you get free cable car tickets and free room internet. He also made suggestions where to go as it was my first time in SFO. Check in and check out was smooth. All questions were answered. Room is being cleaned everyday as well and replenish whats needed for the room like coffee and changing towels.

Shower doesn’t have a strong pressure, not a big deal but overall, it was very good stay.

Roms were quiet, beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and towels were fresh. Staff was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Christopher the bellhop, very knowledgeable and helpful. The full length mirror in the hall way of the room was nice,not many hotels have that. Location is perfect. Hotel is clean inside and outside. The Pantry store in the lobby has tons of food and drink options. I'm not a fan of vallet of bellhop service, I like to do things myself so this hotel though me off.i may stay here again but the valet situation will be the reason I don't return

The hotel is very overpriced in my opinion, would I stay here again, definitely. Valet is overpriced, we called two day in a row in advance to get our vehicle and no one picked up the phone, if I am paying 91 dollars for vallet I expect to get real service, the restaurant inside has limited menu options so we orders out the whole weekend. The family had breakfast buffet and the family liked that they had many options to choose from. Steep hotel stay but no room service. Mini fridge was not clean, soda or something was spilled in the fridge when we opened it, we didn't need it, so I did not complain about it. There is a parking garage across the street for $45 if you feel like risking it.

Bed was great, room was great, location was great.

The hidden daily $30 fee for food. Apparently I had already paid for it when I purchased through booking.com. When I checked in I was told I would receive an additional $60 fee. So I bought $44 worth of food to use up some of the additional charges. When I checked out, I was told I had already paid for it. Bottomline? I bought food I didn't need or want to receive some value from this daily fee, that I had to pay additionally to my bill. This really bothered me. I felt cheated.

I only got latte. Staff being very helpful. Emmelia a maid on 6th floor. She remembered me from the day before. I was list and couldn't find my room. I had forgotten the rm number. She knew which was mine! Ernesto, at the desk went over and above!

Card didn't work on all elevators. I had a 6th floor room and had difficulty to go to 7th. Way too confusing to find elevators and rooms. Very unusual. Very frustrating.

We've stayed here many times. It is a classic. They've remodeled and updated which gives it a fresher feel now. It's just really comfortable and well appointed. Staff is super friendly and helpful. It's easy to get to any place in SF from this location via Uber.

The valet was a little hard to find via google maps. Also the Uber driver picked us up way around the other side of the block for some reason. I'm not sure if the hotel has a designated area for Uber typically.

Marriott at its best. Close to everything and high quality breakfast, super nice room and first class beds View of China town. Separate elevators for the higher floors. Several 24 hour possibilities to buy food.

There was an obligatory service charge which could be used within the hotel. I felt this was an indirect "room price increase" and did not appreciate being forced to buy for that money overpriced snacks.

The hotel was lovely and well situated for our site seeing. The staff we dealt with was very nice, although we were not initially assigned the rooms we asked for, nor we were told about the amenities we were entitled to.

I requested 3 rooms on the same high floor. I called several days before our stay and was told the rooms were scattered on several floors. At check in we were all on the 15th floor of a 39 floor building. Not a high floor. We were not informed about benefits of our Elite Marriott status so we missed out on breakfast being included.

Excellent location. Walked most places that we needed. Room was spacious and had everything we needed. No noise at all and at times wondered if we were the only people on our floor! All staff were very friendly and helpful. The little bakery/pantry was awesome and the staff in there were so lovely and cheerful. We will definitely be back and highly recommend the hotel.

Didn’t dislike anything.
