An affordable accommodation in San Francisco which includes a simple breakfast (available between 7 and 9 a.m.).

Unfortunately, a lot of homeless and drug addicted people are around in this area (e.g. they build up a tent on the sidewalk directly to the hotel door). This ist for sure not the hotel's fault but you should be aware of.

Clean room.

We were 3 persons in a double queen bed room. When we stayed on the 3rd floor the queen bed was ok. But on the 4 th floor it was very soft and my friend was not able to sleep on her side, she kept rolling down and needed to sleep on my side of the bed, more to the middle of the bed. On the 4th floor the automatic light in the bathroom kept going on and off the whole day, even when nobody was using it...Union square is near, but the street is quite noisy, not good for light sleepers. Expect quite basic breakfast: bagels/toast, yoghurt, cereal, butter and Philadelphia spread with coffee and juice.

The toilet was so big.

All the staff we encountered were exceptional, especially the lady at the front desk. Hotel was in a decent location for access to transport and shopping, we even walked to fisherman’s wharf from there, it took about 40 mins. Our room was small but very clean and comfortable. We had a freakishly large bathroom, possibly the shape of the building had something to do with that, it was so large we stored our luggage in there.

The wardrobe was too short to hang anything, even a t-shirt didn’t hang freely, it crumpled at the bottom. There was an unpleasant smell in the building, we noticed it as soon as we entered, it was like the smell in an aged care facility.

Continental breakfast was included which was good. Beds were very comfy. Easily walk to Union Square. It’s very close to the Tenderloins but we didn’t have any problems. They also have a washing machine & dryer available for use which was great as we’d been travelling for a week before we got there.

Would be good to have a bedside table on both sides of the beds - we had to use our cases. There is 1 small bedside table but the phone takes up all the room. When you have a cpap machine it’s very difficult to fit that on there. Hence I used my case. And the beds are very high. But they are very comfortable.

Location is very convenient, turn right after come out the hotel, union square just few blocks away. From there you can easily access cable car, hop on and hop off bus etc. 8 mins walk from Powell BART station. The building was renovated a year ago, everything looks fresh and modern. My room is at 6th floor, king bed with sofa bed, it has 2 separate bedrooms, The sofa bed is in other room. 2 TVs.

It will be great If they offer hot breakfast. The breakfast is ok, only cereal, bread and bagels, no eggs or bacon. They don’t have kitchen to cook stuff. No microwave in room. But the front desk offered me the microwave in the breakfast room.

I like the rooms where we stayed. We are a family of three so room 406 is perfect. There were two twin beds and a sofa bed. We are only here for a night so this is a nice room for us. The staff is very welcoming, especially the Front Desk lady who is very friendly.

The only thing I found strange is the bathroom between the bedroom and the other room with the sofa bed. Not sure how this was configured but it was ok for us. There is enough room. Also I hope there were more choices for breakfast. This is our second time in this hotel and the breakfast is all the same. Maybe there are other choices, maybe hot meals if possible.

Good location within walking distance of Union Square, cable cars and buses. Liquor store next door was very convenient for milk and snacks during our stay. Breakfast was a mix of coffee, tea, apple and orange juice along with bread (toast), jams, butter and yoghurts. Breakfast was available 7 - 9am. The bed was large and comfy and our room was exceptionally quiet. A large TV was mounted on the wall opposite the bed. We had hangers and a fridge in the room too. There are also laundry facilities at the hotel so we stopped at a laundrette close by to buy detergent and softener and then used the washers and dryers in the hotel. It was handy to do this in the evening and go back to our room and watch TV whilst waiting for the cycle to finish.

The only thing to say is it would be nice if breakfast was served until 10am, but not a problem with the number of diners and cafes close by.

Had a short stay of one night, so accessibility from BART station was the top priority. Good location with lots of bus/tram/train stations nearby. Friendly staff, acceptable breakfast quality(which was over my expectation for a continental breakfast by 2 star inn). It may not be the place for honeymoon, but if you are looking for good value for money it will not let you down.

Cheap and great location close to union square, tram line start and on Waymo routes. Lots of bars, dinners and shops around, Simple breakfast included, staff very helpful and polite, room was clean. Great shower and aircon ( was very hot weather during our stay, glad these were good ).

Close to the tenderloin, always head towards union square as other end of block is a little rough. Single room and beds a little small, but the price is cheap for San Francisco.
