The "good" -- convenient to airport, a low cost gas station is nearby to refill your rental car, breakfast, comfortable bed, quick check-in, and a pleasant staff.

Could have been better: hot room (80 deg F / 27 deg C) at evening check-in; anemic air conditioner kept the room at a toasty 75 deg F; leaking flapper in water closet causing regular refills; no hot water in the morning (faulty shower valve); free parking, but with a "surprise" mandatory $15 charge for parking lot security.

Didn't like the fact hotel restaurant was close because of being Sunday, not the most inviting neighborhood to walk? Also didn't like the fact we had to pay for parking, they already have a parking lot? Also pricing is very deceptive, still not sure what they charged my sister for the room? The price they first billed her on arrival was different then what was on the invoice they slipped under our door in the middle of the night? Other then that, it was fine.

I love the Staff they are so friendly, and the Manager the Filipino Lady is very kind and really acres about the customers.

Parking 15 dollars a night ridiculous, and the 50-dollar deposit needed each night you stay. That makes no sense it should be 50 dollars once for all three nights or two nights and if nothing charged to room then return the money to the card. I pay 400.00 for three nights and then 150.00 deposit each night and 15 dollars for parking each night totaling.45 dollars for parking, 150.00 room deposit and 400.00 room stay. Too MUCH!!

Good instalations.

I got in the hotel, and they said I was not booked there. They could not find my reservation. I was told to go to another Holiday Inn in San Jose. I got to the other Holiday Inn, and the clerk told me that I was not booked there and that I was not the first person that day with that problem. When I got back to the hotel, they said that the booking had just arrived. While waiting for the room in the lounge, there was a party extremely noisy. After a long flight and all the trouble of going up and down in San Jose, I was exposed to a session of torture!

Clean and quiet. Very comfortable beds. Average room amenities with one suggestion. There might be more than one tea drinker in a room. The coffee service was set up for 2 cups of both decaf and regular. Our room had one tea bag. Best employee encountered over 2 stays is definitely "Lili" the bar tender, food server and hotel's best PR.

Breakfast options could be better. Hotel buffet breakfast - in comparison to a Choice Hotel or similar - hot breakfast- offers the same food items of comparable quality and quantity- for $18 plus taxes. At other 3 star hotels the breakfasts are complimentary and included in the rate. Being handicapped and car-less, we could not wander the neighborhood looking for a diner or fast food.

The breakfast is well priced and is much better than a standard hotel continental breakfast. We also enjoyed a dinner. We fly from Hawaii to Chicago and break the flight into two segments. This hotel is convenient to the airport and the shuttle service was excellent. The shuttle is a separate service from the hotel.

I am not generally a negative person so I don't look for items to ruin my day. The staff is responsive. The room was ready before check-in time. This is our second yearly visit here and we plan to return next year.

It was clean, comfortable and nice. The room was easy to access too, would probably stay again.

Didn't like paying for overnight parking, and the bathtub didn't plug. The breakfast was a bit expensive. Next time would just get breakfast some place else.

Only drawback was I asked for a 4:15 AM wake up call to catch my flight. The person receiving the call repeated it back to me. Of course I set my own alarm as well. I had only been asleep for about two hours when the wake up call arrived at 1:15 AM. Then it took me a while to fall back to sleep. So I ended up with only about five hours of sleep before my flight. And of course at 4:15 I called and come through.

I really liked the front desk, i don’t remember the guys name but he was super nice and helping with absolutely everything. As well for the night shift the woman who worked that night she was super helpful and super sweet. The hotel was super clean, the room was super clean and i didn’t have an issue with anything. Definitely would stay here on any trip. Quite pricey, but worth it.

Room was large and the bed very comfortable. All staff were very kind and helpful. Onsite restaurant/bar is also a nice amenity as well as the 24 hr self checkout market that had a variety of necessities, snacks, beer & wine available for purchase. Would stay again if in the area!

Hallways appear to be a bit dated but the rest of the hotel certainly is not.
