At first they put us in a room in the back so it wouldn't be so noisy. Unfortunately, it was right next to the laundry room, so it was quite noisy. But then another room was given and it was lovely. Location was good ten minutes from the restaurants and stores on State Street. And near the ocean. Parking was available if you looked on the streets in from State. There is a lovely coffee/sandwich shop right next door. A 7/11 that was open late and a Mobil gas right on the same block. It is a typical motel. The only thing I missed was a fridge. And my safe wasn't working. But the room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. And the bathroom updated. Wifi is sketchy. It kept going in and out. But all in all a lovely stay. The staff is super friendly and accomodating.

The location was excellent, a nice walk downtown - State Street and a good base to explore the town on foot. Free parking and allowing us to leave car after checkout was fab. Lovely helpful staff. Coffee in room and free at reception. A few drinks also for sale. 7 eleven right next door.. eco friendly toiletries were appreciated and good hot shower which appeared to be recently refitted. Clean and comfortable and great value. Would go back x

Walls maybe a little bit thin between rooms but hotel is very quiet at night. We slept well but could hear neighbours in the morning- didn’t bother us at all. A long mirror in the room would be great.

Before renting a room from here, I read the reviews. Most of them were satisfactory, not great. However I also read bad reviews about this place. Not only did I think this place was good…I thought it was EXCELLENT, with just two downfalls & not very big ones either. The staff was very friendly & very attentive. The rooms were very clean. We stayed two nights & on the second night, the rooms were cleaned, towels were replaced & amenities were replaced as well. I’ve been to hotels were that was not the case & I’d have to call the front desk because our trash cans were still full & they never replaced towels. The only two downfalls I can say is that for one thing, they don’t have a dresser to store your things in. They do have a closet with one shelf & rod underneath it to hang your clothes, however, I prefer drawers to put my clothes in, instead of just one long, open shelf. The second thing is they don’t offer continental breakfast….but for the value on what you pay….this is an EXCELLENT hotel. I definitely recommend this place to any traveler.

The location was great. We could walk everywhere around State St. And Orlando, the manager, was very helpful. We will definitely stay here again. The price was great and the pool was a nice touch!

The king size bed was great, but the mattress sat on a metal frame that made an annoying sound every time you accidently kicked it. Also, a few hangers would be nice. There were zero hangers in 106

The parking lot is quite big, well-lit and under video surveilance. The room was quite big as well. The staff was very friendly and super helpful. The pool looked nice, even though we did not have enough time to try it out. Would definitely stay there again next time.

The room reeked of some cleaning chemicals when we came in and we had to keep windows open during the entire stay. Perhaps the cleaning staff could have left the windows open in advance. It is just a minor thing anyway.

The location is great, the room was clean, and the staff were very helpful. They also offer free parking and even let us leave our car there after check-out, which was very nice.

The base of the bed had metallic sides that made odd noises every time we moved during the night. The room was clean overall, though the bathroom mat was dirty and the window glass could have been cleaner

very good clean spacious room, as we had two double king beds, which were comfortable. Selection of coffees and tea, fridge, iron and board, which was very handy. Also pool to enjoy stay. Hotel in a very good location, free parking, easy to find, next to filling station and the shop. Definitely would be back if will travel to Santa Barbara again.

Very clean and spacious room and the location is perfect. It's a very quiet area and not much street noise during the night. I plan on staying at the Orange Tree more often since I travel frequently to Santa Barbara to visit family.

Parking can be difficult to find if you arrive later in the night if the hotel is full for the night.

The staff were excellent. Very accommodating, friendly, and efficient. I needed to check in early to make it to a wedding in time, and they managed to make that happen with no hiccups. I made use of the ironing board, so it was really nice that that was provided.

This is a tiny thing, and not a reflection on the inn at all, but the powdered creamer provided curled in my coffee. It might be wise to replace those.

Great location. Close to everything. Property is currently being renovated. I got to stay in one of the renovated rooms. It was so nice to stay in a room with all new flooring and curtains. The bathroom had also been renovated and had all brand new fixtures. Clean and comfortable. I stayed one night for an event in town. Wish I’d had a little more time to spend in Santa Barbara.

When they’re finished renovating the property, it would be nice if management would include complementary donuts and coffee, or a variety of bakery goods and coffee, in the morning for guests to enjoy.
