The management and staff are exemplary. The grounds are beautiful and the swimming pool during the warmer months can’t be beat. And while this is more of a value stay and location, that’s to your advantage because if you pay twice the amount you won’t get this level of comfort. Plus the complementary breakfast is one of the best breakfasts in Santa Rosa. When there was an issue with a smoke alarm battery the wonderful manager comped our last night. Highly recommended!

Almost nothing. Floors on some units still have carpet but they appear to be upgrading gradually.

Everything is great except they put us in a room next to the laundry It seemed to be where the staff hung out and partied when they weren’t working so even though we had, it did not disturb sign. They still got loud and I had to ask some you know, don’t you have something to do? My husband had a sinus headache and was trying to sleep. I got a very rude response from the woman on the weekend that was working behind the desk on Saturday.

The staff are friendly and the landscaping is wonderful - like an oasis (at least for the rooms surrounding the garden/pool area). It is a little gem. Obviously many folks keep coming back (there seemed to be lots of folks who had stayed before and said they kept coming back because it was so nice - we could see why). Breakfast cafe onsite is lovely (not included, but reasonably priced) - variety of tasty offerings, efficient and friendly.

Only one of the pool gates work which is fine, but a sign would have been helpful as I tried for a while to get in through the non-working one. Outside Lights could be timed to come on a bit earlier. It was dark before they came in (may have been an end of daylight savings time issue?)

As A single woman my room #139 was far in the rear of the property. At 1am my door handle was being messed with and woke me up! At 1:30am the property exterior lights went out!! It was recommended by my Daughter and Son in law have stayed before and it was very convenient for my appointments and finding the 101 back home. I was surprised that you’re not using mattress covers or pillow covers?? There is a program based in England called the Hotel Inspector( on YouTube) you should watch!

Clean, quiet and comfortable! I enjoyed the sliding door and sliding screen access to small covered patio. I liked the walk in shower, which I thought an upgrade over the typical tub/shower/curtain set up. I typically do not use provided amenities, but they were all there.

I had a bit of a fight to secure sliding door/screen. I was not ever completely convinced it was secured. I sensed the mechanism had been used/abused and appeared worn. I arrived at 3 pm (check in time), but had to wait about 30 minutes until the room was ready (not a major inconvenience).

Size and equipment of the apartment (including chairs for 2). Super clean bathroom. Very nice staff, in particular the lady at the reception who could also help me out with a toothbrush since my suitcase didn’t make it on the same flight as we did. Nice garden outside between buildings and parking, instead of just the regular dull parking lot. Café serving decent à la carte breakfast on the premises.

There wasn’t a good spot for wet towels.

As a frequent traveler worldwide, rarely am I positively surprised by accommodation. You never get more than what you pay for and usually there is something that could be better. This was perfect. Clean and quiet and with lovely grounds. Didn't feel at all like we were in the middle of strip mall road near the freeway. Didn't use the pool or jacuzzi but it certainly is an added bonus for those who want it. I was happy to have a room where I wasn't afraid to go barefoot. Super clean. Thank you well done

Maybe real coffee creamers not powder. (Had to struggle here to find a complaint)

Location was great, it was right next to the freeway. We stayed in the apt w/ the full kitchen. 95% of Everything had been updated. Will stay again next time we come into town.

The only minor thing was the the couch was dated and stained. But everything was new/ newer.

As we stayed nine days, then moved to a larger room for last night. My previous review encompasses more of our stay and observations. This is a fantastic place to stay in Santa Rosa and it’s a mid century gem. The garden and heated pool, etc. I want to fall in the staff is excellent. The free breakfast available for booking.com is well worth it don’t miss out. Within two minutes you’re on the freeway on the way to the ocean and you’re close to everything. I lived in Santa Rosa for over a decade, so I was happy to see friends as well as go to Bodega Bay, Jenner, the Sonoma County fair, which was awesome and so so much more. August really is a spectacular month for Santa Rosa with so much going on! We were very fortunate to get such a good rate with an excellent top quality breakfast included. Do not miss out on that option if you book.

I cover that my other review, but they should replace the laminate flooring with either higher quality, laminate flooring, or even a strong rental hotel carpet. . This is a wonderful hotel and my criticism is minimal.

The motel's cafe was exceptional for breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Housekeeping was on top of ensuring we had towels and clean linens, and they were very friendly and accommodating when we asked for more towels. Overall I would definitely recommend this motel when traveling on a budget. Excellent service and rooms and a reasonable price.
