You could hear ever noise on the street and there was no privacy on the balconies

Great location. Lovely staff. Jr suite was very roomy, clean and comfortable. Water bottles at front desk was nice touch. The coffee in the room was good! Conveniently close to train station, yet also very quiet. Close to downtown! I loved the Victorian prints hanging on the walls throughout, many of children with animals! Very sweet!

The room needed some repairs that I feel should have been checked before guest arrival. (Heater and a faucet replacement in the bathtub) The room was overall clean, but they need to wipe down the walls near the coffee maker and by the bed. If you catch it in the light, there are splashes of who knows what on both areas. Desk and other staff were absolutely lovely. However, when I was leaving, I was still tying some ends together with my luggage, and there were two female members of housekeeping who behaved rather rude to me.

The hotel was built in 1907 and the rooms, halls, and lobby were furnished with that style. It had a very cozy, fun atmosphere. The people both who worked there and stayed there were friendly and helpful. Loved being in the the very comfortable king bed in the junior suite on the fourth floor and watching the redwood tree blow in the wind and the wolf full moon! Easy walk to several great restaurants, especially the Italian one just around the corner. Easy location for car travel with parking area (small charge per day). The train station was across the street for easy day trips. Definitely will be going back!

The shower controls took a bit to get the temperature. Glad the front desk has explained how to work it.

I like the great communication from hotel staff. They let me know my room was ready and was even able to get a much needed earlier check in. Coffee was available 24 hrs and kurig in my room. Location was outstanding and the local restaurants were great. The Ruben sandwich at Grossmans was outstanding! ( See pics) They had my a/c already going upon arrival. I did read another guests review that it gets hot on the top floor. I brought my own fan and it kept the room nice and cool for the 4th of July week. I stayed 4 nights and highly recommend. I had a problem with Booking.com not honoring the rate I was given and the Hotel Mgr reached out to me and offered a discount on my next stay. Great customer service on the Hotels behalf.

Booking.com has let me down as a Genius rewards member for many years. I feel that I was bait and switched on my hotel rate and I will be canceling my Booking.com app. I have joined Expedia and have found better deals and am already booking properties.

Very charming place. Nice decor, good bed! Very comfortable. The coffee service (Kuerig) was self serve and available 24/7. The deli attached to the hotel is amazing. I wish we would have had more time to explore the area. Hotel parking is $15/day. There is a city lot across Wilson that can be used for free over night. Payment in that lot begins at 9 a.m.

The sraff were slightly "reserved", or perhaps "matter of fact". Not unkind, but not overly friendly or falling over themselves to accomodate. However, we arived around 9 pm and were only there one night. We may not have had a good sample. The Kuerig in the "breakfast" room ran out of water in the morning, and another guest began to fill it. The desk clerk did come in and complete the job. The atmosphere was casual - which was in many ways not a negative.

We love the Carriage House setting, and the walkable downtown location. The flowery courtyard seating area offers a peaceful outdoor space. The room is spacious, quiet, and nicely furnished. The staff was welcoming and friendly.

Compared to our last stay (in the same room) the mattress felt less supportive. The sink faucet needs maintenance as one of the handles fell off, and the other was difficult to turn off. The air conditioning unit was very noisy and not as effective as we’d have liked.

staff very friendly and helpful when I had internet issues. liked location, walking distance to interesting railroad square restaurants, etc. that wasn't why I chose the hotel but it was nice.

very difficult to connect to internet. (I was doing some number of hours of work each day which required good internet connection). Hotel staff "rebooted", several times, gave me a different internet to connect to, different log in password, still didn't stay connected. Finally gave me hotel cell phone "hotspot" and told me I could keep it until I checked out. I was able to connect, keep connection more reliably, but not sure about the security. In 2024, not having reliable internet in a city and location where it is expected is unacceptable.

This is a charming, well appointed gem in an ideal central location in Santa Rosa. Great linens, comfortable mattress, luxurious bathroom and bathtub. We were in the Annex Carriage House which had a private balcony, and a lovely quiet, private atmosphere. Super value. My only regret is that we didn't get a chance to sample the restaurant, but definitely will return. 10/10, and I can't remember the last time I gave a perfect review. Thank you!

We liked the location, the Christmas decor in December ,our beautiful room & comfy bed, the vintage clothes wardrobe , all the artwork , the staff, the cozy lobby. Highly recommended !

Room & bathroom both need hooks for hanging things . A small piece of furniture in the large bathroom with shelves to place toilettries would be really helpful so one does not have to put things on the floor. The thick fluffy pillows are very beautiful & great for leaning on , but too thick for sleeping.

What a beautiful, historic hotel! So wonderfully preserved, and as soon as we arrived I regretted that we were only staying one night. The atmosphere made us want to stay longer to explore and enjoy more of what Santa Rosa had to offer. The bed was comfortable, the amenities spot on, and we stayed in (I think) a Historic King suite, so had quite a large space and generous sitting room. We dined at Grossman's Noshery & Bar, and really enjoyed our meal. I cannot recommend this wonderful hotel enough!
